Great food, friendly folks. Best po boy sandwich I've ever had. Only drawback is the music is too loud. πŸ™‚

Great food. We shared a 🦐 po'boy. Wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed with lots of out of doors seating.

Great local grocery and eatery. Food is cajun style and the decor is the old style with various signs and pictures. One can sit inside or outside and enjoy a authentic poboy sandwich.

This place has the best shrimp po'boy in the town. This place has been serving po'boy since 1982 and famous for their hospitality, cozy decorations, and near to Lafayette downtown. This place has good people, served good stuff and has fun loving atmosphere.

Mandatory stop while in Lafayette. Never had a meal here that’s wasn’t amazing. Staff is friendly and service is quick. I usually get the special/ dressed. Be sure to grab plenty of napkins!

They put so much shrimp. The bread is not too crispy and not too soft. Quite frankly it's the same quality today as it was 10 years ago as it was another 10 years ago. The place is consistently delicious. I don't eat here often enough ,so it was a nice quick pre birthday lunch.

What a yummy spot for a casual dinner! We're just passing through Lafayette and saw this was a top-rated restaurant and we're so glad we found it. Our 3 littles got their "kids plate" and it was actually too much food for them. But they especially liked the fried shrimp. I got the seafood plate (the special) and it was so delicious. The fried oysters were especially great but I devoured the fried catfish. My husband got the shrimp poboy and he's still raving. He said it was a good combination of amount of shrimp, veggies, and sauce on the bread. We sat out on the patio which was a great spot since it's not too hot yet. Would definitely suggest you go when you're very hungry!

An absolute must try! The sandwiches are very well priced for the portion you recieve and they are absolutely amazing. Arrived around the lunch hour and dined outside and was not very busy at all and plenty of seating. Have Tony's and Tabasco at every table to top your perfect poboy!

Used to be my go to place for a great lunch. Always happy to take my Canadian family when visiting. Today will be the last time. The store was very dirty. The food very expensive. And the staff not friendly. No condiments on the tables. Well empty bottles but not the same. Also all the napkin containers were empty. A full sized turkey and 1/2 shrimp with 2 bottles of coke was $25.00. The tables were not cleaned off. And the sandwiches were not good at all. Turkey was mushy and shrimp was very dry with an end sliver of tomato that had to be removed. Just an all round disappointment. Will not return. Shame.

Olde Tyme Grocery was amazing. A perfect place to try our first poor boy. We loved the Old Tyme special the most. Becca and her staff were so kind and welcoming. She was lovely, telling us her story and sharing tips for the next part of our trip. Thank you.

I am on a mission to try every poboy from Olde Tyme. In my opinion, they are the best poboys in town. They are pretty large and reasonably priced, and usually last me for two meals. Quick counter service and turnaround for pick up orders. LOVE that they carry Hubig's pies. πŸ˜‹

Visiting from out of town and this was recommended to us! We had shrimp and catfish poboys which were excellent. Both nicely done. The fries are wedge fries. We sat on the patio (with fans blowing) and the ambiance was pleasant and relaxing for a June evening. The cashiers working were helpful and patient with newcomers. Highly recommend!

We had shrimp po'boy, roast beef po'boy and a old fashioned specialty po'boy. They are HUGE. The taste was wonderful. We shared an order of fries. The inside is very interesting. Very clean and staff was amazing! 😍

Friend Shrimp Po-boy was delicious. Highly recommend it. Add some Tabasco and creole seasoning and it really made it have a kick. They had other things on the menu but the staff specifically said they sells 100’s of those things a day. Well I see why! Place has a nice sit down spot to eat and enjoy your meal. You can also take it to go. Great spot to get a quick bite in Lafayette!

There are certain things in life that you should never turn down. And a fried shrimp poorboywith pepper jack cheese at Old Tyme grocery is one of those!!!!πŸ™Œ It is my all time favorite poorboy!!! & I’ve had a lot - like - a lot a lot.πŸ€ͺ… if you like big thick homemade fries don’t miss those either. My kids also really love the ham poorboy… So much meat.

Great place to eat. It's like walking through a time portal into an old corner store, because that's what it is. It brings me to a period I didn't even live in, when the milk man delivered in glass bottles and car didn't have catalytic converters or airbags. And the poboys taste great, and are affordable. $7 for a whole poboy after 5pm!!! Garbage from McDonald's is more expensive than that. And these people make their fries from actual potatoes they cut.
