Outstanding facilities for military associated people. Active, retired military and civilians have their choice of RV full hook-ups, yurts, and cabins/townhouses. Excellent lobby/gift center with free coffee & tea. Large community lodge with book exchange. Laundry facilities and community bathroom with showers. The best deal is the fish processing facilities that are free to use. Plenty of tubs, knives and tables to filet out your fish. They even have vacuum packing machines for your use, just bring your own vacuum bags. You can even pack & ship your catch from Seward with staff that will assist you with all your needs.

For RVs, the RV sites are so close you may not get your slide out all the way out. Forget using an awning unless you arrive before the person next to you. No septic only a dump station. Kind of dangerous the way vehicles are packed together. Park cable does not work. Internet is terrible and cell service is terrible.

We rented a town house and it is overall an amazing experience! The room itself only had a couple flaws like some of the draws were falling apart but other than that it is great. Would recommend!

Making reservations is frustratingly outdated. You can't check availability online; you have to call and walk through the calendar day by day to see when the facilities you want are available. The call has to be made by the active duty member doing it, not a family member that will be staying with them, which is extremely frustrating. They're only available for calls during business hours in Alaska. After they have made your reservation, they make no contact with you to confirm your stay--not even an automated email. So if, for example, you end up on military travel orders with short notice right before your trip, and you forget to cancel your booking, you will not get any notice from them that your reservation is upcoming. They just charge your card when you don't show up. They have zero concern for the reason that you no-showed and they also refused to pass along to the fishing charter captain that I was out of the country, so I got another set of missed calls the night after my check in from the fishing captain wondering where I was. When I go back to Seward next summer, I will book with a facility that has better (or any, really) customer service.

The room was clean, comes with everything you need to cook meals, grills located outside the townhouses that are propane. The gift shop has a fun assortment of T-shirts and more. Great place to stay.

Convenient location, but the room was disgusting. The bathroom reeked of stale urine and it made the entire room smell awful. Even with vigilance about keeping the bathroom door closed, the entire room smelled of stale urine and made the stay very unpleasant. There was visible mildew around the soap dispensers in the shower and sink areas, the shower head looked like it had been stolen from a military basic training barracks facility, half of the outlets in the room didn’t work. If you’re looking for a below market rate location that has you in decent proximity to Seward, plan to spend minimal amount of time in the room, plan to bring your own linens/soap, and have copious amounts of air freshener in hand - then this is the place for you. Incredibly disappointing.

Great resort with beautiful scenery. They have RV spots and 3 or 4 tent spots, they also have rooms and small cabins available. You have to be military or dependant to stay. Close to shopping and fishing, few minutes from several restaurants and the Seward Sea life center. Laundry and showers on site, Wi-Fi comes for free with pretty good reception at pretty much all ends of the property.

This was a perfect place to stay, easy access, clean, felt safe, attractive grounds, nice little gift shop. Didn't try the bar/Cafe, and the internet was spotty, but overall, I would absolutely stay here any time I return to Seward.

Must be affiliated with the military (AD, Retired, or Vet). We used the campground. Not sure what makes it a resort. Not much in the way of amenities. Will need to drive or bike into Seward. The campground is pretty dated, not much space between even by Alaska standards. Sites are paired, one RV is backed in, the other nose in. You have to place the picnic tables end to end. Elec and Water only. Dump station available. Not enough room for cars/trucks to fit. No food service. Nice playground for kids but that is it. Very clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry. The rooms/cabins look nice from outside. You can stay on the water at one of the town campgrounds for about the same price (elec but no water). Camp WiFi and Verizon almost non-existent.

Front desk staff was super helpful and courteous throughout our stay at the campground. The check-in process was smooth. The RV host, Duane, on the other hand really put a damper on our stay. He was extremely rude, lacked basic customer service skills, and devoid of any emotional intelligence. He took something that could have been a simple ask and immediately escalated it (Something that was actually approved by the front desk). He felt the need to drop rank even though he is a civilian and made comments about political affiliation out of the blue. His unprofessional attitude is uncalled for in any capacity but especially so for someone who is suppose to be a host. Don’t plan on using the internet for a reliable connect as it drops off every few seconds.

Current year: The staff is still friendly and helpful. The facility is great as compared to other military type rec camps. I used the RV campground. I also stored my boat on site. The site is not within walking distance of Seward. That said, there is a free shuttle. Previous year: The staff is friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that their kitchen wasn't open but understandable. That said, my visit was clouded because it rained the entire visit. My fishing charter, not a Rec Camp charter, was canceled because of the weather. The camp staff worked with me to help my adjust my stay.

The bathrooms are the best part of our stay. They are clean. The rv park your squished in. The internet is spotty at best but when it works its OK. You can't have tent, even if there is room in your spot, unless your special, As we was told not allowed and shouldn't be. Then you can have screen tents or sleeping tents and extra cars supposedly as long as your special or your not caught. Us however got to pay for an extra tent site so that our whole party could fit, we found out upon arrival this was the case. It costs more than the next military campground in Alaska we have reserved. Our water went out while there and we had to call to see why and when it might be back on as no one told us. The worst military park we have stayed at and since we live in our rv we have stayed at a alot. If your a lower rank person good luck affording to be here.
