I booked this hotel as a stop over for our band returning to Minnesota after a tour in Boston. Jane from the sales team was amazing getting everything set up. Communication from initial call to arrival was awesome. When we arrived they had everything ready for a quick check in. Because we arrived later than planned they adjusted the pool hours so the kids had time to swim. Due to mechanical issues with our bus we needed to stay later than our scheduled check out. They gave us a room to store luggage, showed us the locker rooms so the kids could enjoy the outdoor pool. The manager Randy was very accommodating. He helped us order pizza since we were scheduled to eat on the road. He had space for us to eat. Highly recommend this hotel for a group!!!

I stayed here 4/2-4/4 with my mom and daughters and the reviews are definitely correct. What an amazing experience. My kids loved the pool and playground so much that we had to drag them away from both!! The staff were super friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. We ran into the Manager Randy in the hallway and after meeting him you understand why the hotel feels so welcoming. He absolutely sets the tone. In a world full of so much negativity, it’s so wonderful to experience kindness. Thank you Randy and your team for helping to make our trip special. We will definitely be back!!

Staff and management were wonderful. When I booked the room on the phone. I was told I got a room with a hot tub. After I checked in and went to my room, there was no hot tub. To be honest, there wasn't much of a bub at all. The wife and I could barely fit in there together. The carpet in the room had no padding at all. On of our wash clothes had red lipstick on it. The fridge wasn't even plugged in. It was early January during the first snow storm of the year and the heat to our room was off. Everything else was nice. But we will probably never stay at another red lion again. Unless there is no other options. Management did reach out to me. They offered to compensate to make sure I have a better experience. He did express his sincere apologies for out experience.

Ok I would not normally give a place 5 stars but this was probably the best experience I have had in a hotel in a long time. The rooms are a little dated but we’re clean and super quiet. The hotel was full and did not hear a sound from the hall way. I always have trouble sleeping in hotels but not this time. I slept like a rock. The staff was friendly and helpful and in this day and age not the norm. I was a little skeptical at first as I am a Hilton and Sheraton customer when I travel for work and may have to rethink that at this point. We were traveling with a group of 6 families for a basketball tournament and we were all right next to each other which never happens. They take the time to make sure everyone is happy with their experience. I highly recommend this place.

Randy and staff are awesome!!! The rooms are very large and clean. Huge TV. I recommend staying here to all my friends. They have a game room, indoor pool, hot tub, restaurant and bar and banquet rooms. We stay there every year for the rodeo in January. Awesome time!

Let me start by saying that the hotel is slightly dated. Having said that, it's a big hotel with all the expected amenities. What sets it apart and makes it deserving of a 5 star rating is the staff. Clearly well trained, knowledgeable and always friendly and willing to help. Nice overall experience.

I’ve been going to this hotel for 6 years now and it’s great. The first time I went to the hotel with family and met Randy the manger he was very respectful and good to my family. Ever time I go now he is good with my friends and family. Rooms are great and spacious. The outdoor pool is amazing and the arcade. It’s fun to play at night. I feel welcome every time I go. It’s convenient spot if you wanna visit Hershey park.

During my stay at Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg, I had a satisfactory experience overall. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free, and I didn't have the chance to try out the hotel's restaurant. However, I want to highlight an interesting layout of the hotel, where the third floor is actually the ground floor. This design quirk allows the second floor to have direct access to the pool and grass through patios, which is a unique feature. Despite this, I believe the hotel has untapped potential that could be unleashed through necessary renovations. The beds in the rooms were comfortable, but the overall lighting was on the dim side. On a positive note, the air conditioning worked efficiently, perhaps a bit too much, as it tended to be on the colder side. The cleanliness of the room was commendable, and it had a pleasant and fresh smell. The sliding doors leading to the balcony were a nice touch, though they were a bit difficult to slide. In terms of amenities, I found a hair dryer and an iron in the room, which was convenient. Lastly, I must mention that the staff at the hotel were all friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant interaction.

One of the best hotels I've ever been to. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is amazing. Met the owner today and he was so pleasant and have a very warm personality. It's a nice get away and also if you have kids they have a pool table and a little arcade room. I've stayed here quite a few times and it's well worth the money. The staff is very kind and considerate and very accommodating.

I am currently staying here now with my family, and we are extremely happy!! There are so many things to do here. From the gorgeous pool and hot tub (and even an indoor pool) to the 2 game rooms and beautiful views on the grounds. The staff is very friendly. We have been staying at this hotel for the past 8 years and won't stay anywhere else. It is the best hotel, especially if you want to be close to Hersheypark!! I'm already planning next years trip to come back!!!

I come to this hotel every year and it’s always fantastic. I absolutely love the staff, they are always helpful and kind. Terrence and Samantha are so fantastic. Terrence helped me to figure out some great ideas to do with the kids on a rainy day. So helpful and kind and fun. Samantha has a great sense of humor and laughed at all of my jokes. Breakfast is great, and such a treat to have it in the hotel and available. We love the pool, it’s bigger than most hotel pools. And there’s a hot tub that we love as well. Small video arcade room to occupy some time. Centrally located for the area and full service hotel, it’s a great hidden find. But the friendly staff really make it a joy, and something to write home about.

This Hotel and its Staff go above and beyond my expectations. i originally chose this place just for the pool table but everything else was top notch! John at the front desk was extremely friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable while i was in town on business. Sasha at the bar was extremely sweet and also surprised me with her hospitality treatment! The hotel is beautiful and i cant wait to go back! This is my new home away from home :)

Stayed here 6/29-7/1 I wasn’t expecting a great hotel (as we’ve had bad experiences with hotels in general) — but we got the BEST. Two bathrooms in our room, plenty of space for my family of 5. The staff was always very well mannered and nice. Would Defintely stay here again! Close to the Giant center (we came for a concert) and Hershey Park!

We stayed July 30 -Aug 1 2023. Wonderful service! We had requested a group of 4 rooms located together and they were able to accommodate us. One of the rooms was wet and we had to request a different room. No problem. Cheerfully done. Every employee we met was cheerful and kind. Jon, who checked us out was very nice as was the woman who checked us in. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. Everything was clean and comfortable.

It has been a month since our stay at this hotel, and I still think about the wonderful people who work here & the incredible experience we had. The impression that my son and I were left with is a true testament to the hospitality and kindness and generosity that we experienced. Not to mention the cleanliness, wonderful amenities & spacious rooms!!! 🤩🤩🤩 After staying at Hershey Park allllll day with my son, I realized I had no energy to drive 5 hours home and was so relieved to see that they had vacancies here on a weekend. As soon as we walked in, I knew we were going to have an awesome experience here! The place was immaculate. We were greeted by Danny who quickly offered to upgrade us to a King suite after explaining that I could not find any available as I booked online through a third party. Our room was so spacious & clean and the bed was sooooooo comfortable!!! We had such a good time here that we decided to book for another night and this time, we stayed in the king deluxe suite which was even more spacious and spectacular & had a balcony overlooking their gigantic, crystal clear outdoor swimming pool & the largest hot tub I have ever seen in my life! Thanks to Randy, the manager and probably one of the most personable, kind and generous people I have ever met. 💛 These people treat you like family here. It’s unbelievable… Do yourself a favor and enjoy a night or an entire week here if ever visiting Hershey, PA. Your standards will go way up, and you’ll never enjoy anything less than luxury again. My son and I felt like royalty here and I cannot wait to be able to go back! Thank you Randy and your entire staff for everything! We love ya! See you again soon :)

The Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg Hershey is our go to hotel when visiting the Hershey area. My family and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have always had a great experience. The hotel is family friendly and pet friendly too! The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. My daughter loves the swimming pool, while my husband loves playing pool. The breakfast is delicious too and at an affordable price. The manager Randy is also super helpful and there to answer any questions we have. It always feel like home when staying at the Red Lion! I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel! Staying at The Red Lion Hotel Harrisburg Hershey always makes our trip sweeter!

Let me start by saying the staff is wonderful and really makes the experience great. They are accomodating, friendly and informative. The amenities are great from the pool to arcade and playground they have all the basis covered for the children. Loved the little coffee area with the mini fridge & microwave. Water pressure is fantastic!! The view leaves a bit to be desired but the location was perfect. However, the rooms need a bit of refreshing, wallpaper coming up, water stains on the ceiling, and cobwebs above the bed. The food is terrible. The in room coffee provided is better than what they serve at breakfast, but since you are on the main strip there is a plethora of options. Yes, would stay here again.

Such a delight to stay at this hotel! Indoor pool is wonderful as is the staff - especially Randy the manager. Good free breakfast! Close to shopping and Hershey park! Reasonably priced! Clean rooms and good amenities!

Great pet-friendly place to stay. Room was very clean and spacious, front desk staff courteous and helpful. The only minus was the TV. Remote was only sporadically working, and many channels were just garbled. It’s a detail so I didn’t remove a star but a good-working TV would have been nice as it is how we relax after a long day on the road. Despite this, we would absolutely return if traveling in that area again.

My wife and I stay at this hotel when needing some alone time from our children. The staff are kind, attentive, and welcoming. The outside pool and hot tube under the stars you cannot beat for a romantic evening. If your into games like I am the billiard room, ping pong tables, and arcade kept us busy for hours. Totally worth the price.

As I write this I'm very emotional so please forgive me if this review seems quite dramatic. I came to the area for my job as I am a phone operator for a suicide hotline that supports LGBTQ youth and we have yearly training here at this time. Work has been very difficult lately. Very very difficult and heartbreaking. It's hard to keep strong in my own personal when all I want to do is cry and hide because of all the pain in the world. My boyfriend offered to take me to dinner at the hotel restaurant on his dime because I wasn't getting paid until late. Long story short we were about to pay for dinner when he found out that his card had been blocked and shut down because of suspected fraud. Seeing as how my company paid for the room I couldn't charge it. Major dilemma and I just wasn't ready to deal with the embarrassment and frustration and not to mention not being able to take care of the waitress who had done a great job serving us. My boyfriend had to step out and talk to the bank and it took hours to get the fraud mess rectified. When the hotel realized what was going on and I think how stressed out I was by it and also the fact that I wasn't just going to leave, they eased my stress and worry by offering to pay for our meal, explaining to me that they appreciated my yearly patronage. What more do I have to say? Kindness... understanding... acceptance. This world is so lacking all of these important & essential qualities. These qualities are shared however by this establishments stellar and amazing staff. Book a room. Do it I'm not saying you'll get a free meal. I think that's only reserved for special occasions, certain patrons and extenuating circumstances, of course. In conclusion, life is hard. It's been hard. For all of us. Do yourself a favor: visit the Red Lion so your life can temporarily be a little bit easier. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Red Lion. For restoring my dwindling faith in humanity. That's priceless. PS And I have to add that the cleanliness and amenities doesn't hurt this 5 star exclamation!!! Indoor pool, ping pong, arcade, restaurant, gym....I don't think I need to say anything else ;-)

An amazing place for a convention! A plethora of wonderful conference rooms to use. The individual guest rooms are luxurious. Yet what makes this location stand apart is the dedicated staff. This place truly is the friendliest place I’ve been to. Everyone went above and beyond to make the whole experience run smoothly.

We were there while I participated in a group event. Although the room was clean and the hotel very quiet (and we saw lots of kids and families) the entire facility is in need of updating. The fridge in our room had seen better days. Every single staff person I interacted with was friendly, helpful and made our stay great.

I had the opportunity to attend a meeting at the Red Lion Hotel. I was astounded by the sheer beauty of the place. From the lobby to all the other area and amenities this hotel provides can't be summed up in a few words. You have to experience it all for yourself. We will make it a weekend experience in the near future. The staff is first class, courteous, and knowledgeable. I met the owner and he graciously took a couple of minutes out of his busy day to share his vision for the hotel. He nailed it, go enjoy it, you won't be disappointed.

We came here on Sunday night my sister and I with the kids and Eisha checked us in right away with wonderful respectful gratitude! We were going to leave today 4th of July but, we decided to stay another night to enjoy the beautiful pool and hot tub and Jon the hotel agent made that happen! I definitely recommend this hotel to stay while in Hershey! This will be our place & we hope to be back this year! It's the sweetest place on earth!

Perfect spot for a large group to stay. Hotel has all the amenities you need and is neat and clean. Food at the restaurant was fresh and excellent. The manager was actively present and making sure customers had what they needed and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

I've been to this hotel numerous times, and each time, it has been a great experience. This last visit was for a spring conference and testimonial dinner. My room was perfect. It was clean and very comfortable. The restaurant is super convenient and the food is always delicious. The testimonial banquet was the best banquet food I've eaten. But the best part of the stay is Randy, Dawn, Dana, and all the staff. They are an amazing team! They go the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. The entire staff is courteous and friendly. You will not be disappointed if you choose this hotel!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed both dinner there and the breakfast buffet. They kept the warming chaffers filled even with the amount of people going through. I loved having our patio and having easy access to the hot tub! My son and husband enjoyed the tennis courts. The decor was stylish and warm, older style which I enjoyed. Room was clean, beds very comfortable and roomy. We definitely will stay again!

I have stayed at this location several times. The staff is always extremely courteous and helpful. Additionally the owner spends a great deal of time in the lobby interacting with his guests. By his showing his interest in making his guests feel welcome, it sets the bar for the rest of the staff.

My wife and I hosted an event at this hotel recently and had about the best hotel experience anyone could expect. The hotel itself was great for us and our guests - clean, very convenient location, nice amenities - but the real story is the amazing staff. Randy and his entire team went above and beyond for us, and from what I saw for all of their other guests as well. From Hutch handling every request to make the ballroom perfect for our event, to Terrance and the front desk staff generously venturing well outside their job description to help me unload and move equipment, we were blown away by the customer service. Dawn and Dana provided everything we could possibly have needed for our event and were responsive and gracious throughout. Do not hesitate to stay at this hotel or hold an event here. We certainly will be returning again and again.

Great place to stay. The staff was kind, friendly, and helpful to our group. After bus issues Randy helped us by getting us a room to store luggage in and locker rooms so that the kids could enjoy the pools at the hotel while we waited for another bus to get there to pick up our group. He also helped us order pizza for the kids since this was not our scheduled lunch stop. Highly recommend this hotel

Out of all the hotels i’ve stayed at, this by far, is the best! The staff is great, super helpful and respectful. Everything is super clean. The pool, indoor and outdoor and the playground are super fun to spend time at on a day you may have nothing planned. Every time you walk down to the front lobby there is always a smile on the face of the workers. This was definitely a great stay and has been for the past 17 years of staying here!

We had a great stay! We stayed in the family suite and our room was nice and comfortable, the beds are spacious and also comfortable. The hotel felt very welcoming the moment I walked in to check-in! I got to meet the owner Randy and he was super nice and generous! I definitely recommend coming to this hotel if you’re going to Hershey park or just coming around the area for fun!

This is a GREAT place to stay! We have come here many times for a hockey tournament. The hotel is always top notch! The staff is always very friendly and accommodating! The rooms are always clean and there is so much to do nearby! Great family hotel, and they even let you bring your pets! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area! If you hear anything bad about this hotel don’t believe it! Take it from someone that keeps going back, because you can’t find a better place to stay, unless you want to pay more than you have too!

I stayed in this location everything was great pool amenities was awesome no one bothered us. But the person that went above and beyond I left my watch that was high value. I called front desk a gentleman by the name Jon answer call went in to the room we where staying and found our watch and sunglasses. I have never encountered a honest person of such high value watch. He even offered to mail us back watch. Which we leave 3hours away This gentleman deserves a raise and acknowledgement for being a good person.

This will be my second time staying at the red lion, and there is many reasons why I choose to return. The owner is a true people person, very easy to speak with, as well as on top of customer service. The staff at the red lion was absolutely amazing, and very helpful in any way that they could be. I personally would strongly recommend for anyone visiting the Harrisburg area to give the red lion an honest consideration for their stay. The location is fantastic to get to nearly any destination quickly and easily. Clean comfortable rooms, great staff, and convenient., and many different activities to do right at the hotel. Multiple pools, pool tables, a game room, a restaurant. I will see you all soon !

We had a great stay at this hotel. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We booked this hotel because it was more affordable for the kids. (We decided they were going to kick in some money for our weekend getaway). I generally try to book newer hotels but with this being an older hotel it is well maintained. Rooms were spacious and clean. Lots to do for the kids including 2 pools, game room, ping pong and a pool table. Great location also. Will definitely be back! Noelle W.

Loved the Vibe and Overall feeling from the moment we checked in. Very welcoming staff. Red Lion had Checked all the boxes for us from having 2 pools ..Indoor and Out. To having a little In-house Restaurant / Bar. Which was very convenient after along day ..not worrying about going anywhere to dine and unwind. Love the size of the Hotel and Property..Very spread out. A lot of the newer cookie cookie hotels seem to be smaller and more condensed. Not this place! The customer service was paramount to our stay.. you don’t always see the Owner on floor and so involved with the guests on a daily basis. Thank you to Jon I believe his name was at the desk and Randy for being so interactive with us. Many thanks to All the dedicated dining staff who were outstanding! Although it's a little dated & the bar & restaurant were not open - I highly recommend staying here. We played billiards, ping pong & enjoyed the pool & outside hot tub in December. The staff was super helpful. Reasonably priced & clean. Nice location. Our room didn't have a microwave for our popcorn but there was one available near the desk.

This hotel was very accommodating. The staff was very pleasant and willing to help with all of our requests and needs. The rooms were clean and fully stocked with all necessities. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent. I would definitely stay at this hotel for our next Hockey Tournament in Hershey next year.
