Beautiful long pier made of cement! To be able to walk over the ocean and view it's gorgeous turquoise color is breathtaking. FYI: You have to pay $2 to walk on the pier but the receipt is good for 24 hours.

One of nicest beaches with larger Washrooms (both for men and women) and changing booth. Also has showers 🚿. Easy access to the beach from both sides of the entrance. It can get busy very quickly and parking can get full pretty fast. If visiting during summer months, plan to get here before 8am or max by 8:30am to get a parking spot….During fall, you can get parking stop around noon - 1pm. Post that it becomes busy.

We went here at the end of a scorching summer day. The sun was behind the beach, the pier offering extra shelter from the rays. Great, safe area, with convenient parking. Showers and restrooms next door.

I like that they have late hours on the pier. You do have to pay $2/person to walk the pier. There's a cool shop there and a few other shops. Great views of the sunset. For many more pictures, see @Tingle Travel Agency.

Walked under the pier to take photos and walked along the beach. Really beautiful water that wasn’t too cold. Definitely came on a busier day but I really had a great time at the beach. I love that The Summer I Turned Pretty series is filmed in Wilmington too.

Had fun fishing today with my husband. We both caught what we believe are pompano fish. He caught a cute little fish called Northern Searobin. We had some wings and fries and a little node to Jimmy Buffett with a Margaritaville strawberry daiquiri from their little kitchen. Everyone here is super friendly. If we ever come back to Wilmington we will definitely come here again.

Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier Is Awesome! The view of the water and the beach is beautiful. There’s a shop for a bunch of fishing gear right by the pier. There’s a bunch of shops for tourists right outside the pier. Without doubt going to Johnnie Mercers Fishing Pier is a great opportunity and adventure worth taking advantage of! Have a great day!

My favorite place at Wrightsville beach!! I love going into this friendly place, buying a beer, and walking the pier! My kind of chill time! The store is nice! Good prices! Pictures of the pier and from it.

Researched dinner (hoping for crab legs), and breakfast spots on the way to our Anniversary trip destination, and found this to be most raved about breakfast spot, and listed Fabulous Prices! We got there, paid $25 for parking for the whole day, and then went in to fund they do Not serve Any breakfast, just haven't updated the website since A YEAR AGO! GRRRR! On a Positive note, they were friendly, sell really nice things, have a pier you can walk and fish from, and the beach around it had some nice Shells and I found several sharks teeth even. Oh, and they have clean, convenient bathrooms for the public, in a building right at the end of the parking lot. We also found out that the same people that own this paid parking lot, own all of the same paid parking lots in Wrightsville Beach area and the payment follows the car tag, so we can park anywhere in any of them if we want to beach spot hop. We did get a really soft, great flavored biscuit at Roger's Grocery. Hubby got me a chicken one for about $3 and a bacon and egg one for about $2.50, to make it a chicken/egg and bacon. ;)

The beach and pier are always beautiful. The restrooms need major attention; truly the only unpleasant paet of the experience.

Loved it here! Collected the coolest shells and saw the prettiest sunset. The ride from CLT wasn’t bad either, no heavy traffic and no cops. Highly recommend, will def me back.

The Pier itself is a nice piece of history but charging 2 dollars seems like a racket. I get that it's private but most of the people on the Pier were just fishing; there's really nothing else to do. The views of the beach are nice though.

Had a great time. Price is very reasonable. Filled with a lot of friendly people many people willing to help if you've never fished from a Pier before.

Nice pier and beautiful surrounding beach. Beware there's a $2 fee to access the pier. Good fishing 🎣 🐠 off the pier.

This was my Wife's first time walking on a pier and I was glad it was this one because if it had been a wooden one she'd have never done it. She loved every minute of it and I was proud to be able to be with her during this life's first experience. The pier was well maintained and impressively sturdy, the man at the register was extremely pleasant and seemed to be happy and proud to have visitors at the store and pier. Thanks for helping me to give my Wife a memorable day at the beach.

Although, we didn’t do any fishing, we had an awesome time here at the pier! Great for pictures on a nice day, & plenty of space! It costs a few dollars to get on the pier, but there’s a standard little gift shop and ice cream place, so plenty of things to occupy the kids. We saw someone caught a flounder and a couple other fish. Would definitely recommend this place as a good spot to come when visiting Wilmington.

Highly recommend walking the 2002 concrete built pier. $2 per person admission-Neal gave us detailed background of the pier, hurricanes, neighborhoods developments. We watched sun rise
