Awesome architecture. Probably the coolest building I've ever seen. It dominates the Pittsburgh skyline, looks like a giant glass castle, and gives the market area its appeal. Monument area and wide open space, and fountain, provides an area for social gatherings. One of the nicer spots in Pittsburgh. Enjoyed seeing it, definitely worth the walk to check it out...

This iconic building was completed in 1984 for PPG Industries, a 100-year-old company that was founded and based in Pittsburgh. PPG, which stands for Pittsburgh Plate Glass, began as a glass company, and they paid homage to their past by covering the building complex in nearly 20,000 pieces of the company’s glass. We did not get a chance to go top of the building (i am not even sure whether it's open for the public or not) but we were downtown, exploring the area, and saw this square and just like WTC, they have marked 1 PPG, 2 PPG... It is the third tallest building in Pittsburgh and the tenth tallest in Pennsylvania. The building is topped by its iconic glass spires which give the building a very interesting appearance.

Architecture that enhances the Pittsburgh skyline. While steel and glass buildings are sometimes derided for lacking beauty, this structure's turret-like corners lend an air of dignity to the building, while the plentiful glass reflects the clouds for viewers at street level. As a first-time visitor to Pittsburgh, this building captured my attention.

Building is honestly the best skyscraper I’ve ever seen. It looks like a glass castle.

Beautiful architectural design that symbolizes Pittsburg as the strong steel capital. These glass buildings were built with class and they’re gorgeous.

This is worth visiting, I have worked in this building. Apart from that, there is skating rink in the winter along with a beautiful Christmas 🎄 tree setup during winter. And during summer a musical fountain!

Incredible square and place to visit. As a former employee it was an honor to have visited the buildings of such good company. Wish you all the best and hope to see you soon!

Lovely photo ops in the courtyard, and don't miss the 3 dinosaur statues at the side outdoor lobby area of the south building, around the corner from the fountain square.

Iconic brand and location. But "don't throw stones in a glass house!" Mirror glass buildings dominate the local block while looking down on Christmas cheer and joy!

Great architecture for this Pittsburgh Plate & Glass building, especially with the reflection of the sun. Excellent photography to be done there.

I have a fraudulent charge from this company in my bank account. I understand it might not be their fault but their customer service is the WORST. I've been calling multiple times and they always hang up on me because they do not want to help. Of course, they have the money already so they do not care

Modern glass architecture on the entire complex makes it totally iconic on the ground and on the skyline. Not every floor is an aesthetic masterpiece, with plenty of normal offices throughout (it's a huge company after all), but the overall presentation is second to none and really quite cool. The gothic spires of the main skyscrapers probably earn a spot on reddit's forum for dark looking structures, "r/evilbuildings", but the vibe of the actual place is anything but. Quite a visually sumptuous place. If you know an employee on an upper floor and visit, the views of the rivers are amazing.

Wonderful architecture. PPG Place has a very soothing and peaceful appearance. Specially with nice seating area for public and surrounded by nice similar looking well designed glass buildings on all 4 sides. I had to DEDUCT 1 star to highlight the rude behavior of PPG's security guards to general public. Saw the head security person speaking rudely to a family about their little ones playing and running around the fountain. Felt really bad for the ladies and kids. If PPG Management can emphasize on training the security guards for public handling , that will be great.

Beautiful water fountains, beautiful glass buildings in the center of the city. Beautiful ice rink with beautiful neon lights in the Winter, convenient to Market Square. Absolutely beautiful city setting, one of the most beautiful and urban spots in the City of Pittsburgh.

All I wanted was a good picture for my birthday. I got a beautiful shot ofy family right in front of the beautiful fountains! This was a lucky shot because all the others had random children running through the spouts in the background 🤣
