Nardette Take Out Restaurant

Restaurant Haitian restaurant

👍👍 My first time trying this place and it was awesome! Fantastic flavors, the fried pork and rice with fresh greens and I think pickled onions as well as a bone-in meat dish with vegetables that was like a stew were both very pleasing comfort food and the generous portions with the rice and fried plant... People often mention Haitian, fried, service, restaurant, great, goat, good, time, rice, Nardette,

My first time trying this place and it was awesome! Fantastic flavors, the fried pork and rice with fresh greens and I think pickled onions as well as a bone-in meat dish with vegetables that was like a stew were both very pleasing comfort food and the generous portions with the rice and fried plantains lasted for meals for a couple days.

Driving around Ft Myers and punched in “hungry” on the screen, which brought us to Nardette. Ordered the goat and the pork dinners. Nothing else. Came to $38 (!) - price kind of surprised us because the card we were handed had a lot lower prices ($12 for pork and $15 for goat = $27 + tax). Left them $40 to keep the peace. Dinners were very good - warning, they do bring the heat (spicy!) which I liked but a little too much for my wife. Would go again, but will ask for price up front. Maybe they saw the swanky car and charged us $10 extra.

I went back to Nardette Take Out for a Fried Fish platter. Along with the fried red snapper, I had acra, fried sweet potatoes, marinades and fried plantains. I was lucky because it was Fritay Night. I hope they keep their higher standards with their service, their food presentation and their food quality. It reminded me of my grandma’s cooking. They are great.

Wow this is amazing Haitian food I got the Griot and the Legume and I'm super satisfied with the quality and flavor of the food. Nothing is over powering its all balanced. The owner was so sweet. As I waited for my food she took time to get to know me and that felt nice. I pray this restaurant goes far.

Some of the best Haitian food I've ever had, hands-down. I'm from Minnesota, which doesn't have many Haitians, let alone places to get our favorite meals. What a treat it was to have unbelievably flavorful lambi, perfectly fried banan peze and tender, juicy griot. Nardette was incredibly kind and even called us as first-time customers to see what we thought! We'll be back again tomorrow and any time we stay in Fort Myers we'll always stop by. Thank you, Nardette!

The food was delicious and fresh, the lady and gentleman who either owns or works at the restaurant was so polite and comforting. I told the lady that I wanted to try the Spaghetti and she said, “ I should call so, she can make it fresh for me.” And she brought the food to me while I waited in my car. In a full summary beautiful culture, food and atmosphere I would highly recommend and will be returning.

The reviews fooled me. Was excited to try this place...but we had to literally throw out everything we bought. I'm sorry but this is not Haitian food as I know it. No flavor, everything tastes bland. The bouillon was super greasy, the legume smelled sour, and the du riz kole tasted like the frozen coconut bars you buy in the freezer section. Come on, for the price, do right by your customers, make better tasting food. Great customer service though.

My wife and I just relocated to the fort myers area of FL and even before coming down here we made it a tradition to eat from Nardette takeout restaurant. Friendly owners. Haitian welcoming atmosphere. We feel right at home. And the “FOOD “ coupé dwèt”. Mimi & Eric.

My family and I were in town for an event and we were searching for interesting food options. Never had Haitian food before so I was a bit skeptical. But everything turned out great! My husband loved the goat dish and I enjoyed the fried pork and conch. My 10-year-old went with me to pick up food and got interested in the icey dessert. It was yummy and he wanted to go back the next day to get more. Ms. Nardette is very friendly and even called to check if we liked the food. We will definitely go back next time when we are in town. Thank you.

It was our first time having the cuisine and we absolutely loved it! We wanted to get more the next day, but we think it was too early in the day. We'll come back to Florida for the fried goat, chicken, and to try more! Nardette restaurant!!

I want to first say the Customer Service is TOP TIER and the food is AMAZING! My favorite is the diri djon djon rice and the plantains! My children cleaned their plates and left not one crumb or grain of rice! I was so pleased that I began to dance after each bite! Have you ever done that? Well if you haven’t experienced it.. please try her food and I’m certain you will bob your head or something no music needed! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

If you're craving for an authentic and succulent Haitian dish, visit Nardette restaurant in Ft Myers area. I had chicken with their special black rice , the portion served exceeded my expectations during my first visit. I also had the fried pork with plantains with peppers ( pikliz), believe me, it''s food to die for. I can assure you the owners take a lot of pride in the quality of food they serve. The food experience was worth the trip.

It has been a long time since I have had Haitian food. I'm glad I stopped here to try out Nadette's. My children, who haven't ever tried legume or griot, loved it. I also had the opportunity to talk to the owners for a few minutes (they were making fresh food for us). They were super friendly and kind. The next time I'm in the area, I will be sure to stop by again!

I love Haitian food and this is by far the best Haitian restaurant I've found in Lee County. The service is outstanding, everyone is helpful and interactive. Very friendly and family-oriented. The food is exquisite. Everything I've tried thus far has been great and I keep coming back. Definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I love Haitian food and i think the fried plantains here are the best I have gotten so far! Also, the goat is very tasty but would prefer a little extra portion for the price. And lastly Nardette speaks English very well which is helpful for me because unfortunately I do not speak Creole and in the past when I had placed an order in other Haitian restaurants there was often a miscommunication and I would not receive the right order. And she is also very nice and pleasant and would recommend this place to anyone:)

Absolutely wonderful air to the place, I was really surprised to find this “hole in the wall” spot so close to home, the spices and aromas of the food were so good! Brought my girlfriend Alyssa along as she was in love with it all, the customer service was awesome, I can’t wait to go back again!

The BEST Haitian food in the State of Florida!!! I have lived all around the state and I'm orginally from Haiti so I know how our food should taste... Nardette takes it to the next level. My favorite meal is the fried snapper! I go just about 3 times a week!

We have never had anything on the menu that we didn't love immediately. The food is always amazing every time we come in. We have a large family and sometimes restaurant options make things challenging, but it's never been a problem here. My kids love the food, and the people here are some of the nicest you will meet.

Her food really takes me back to the authentic taste of real Haitian food. My husband who's not from Haiti but knows about Haitian food, said that was the best he ever had. We ordered the goat, legumes, lambi with rice and beans and plantains. Everything tasted good. The grenadine juice and soursoap juice were the bomb. Even my 4 years old said"that's what I'm talking about" when she was drinking the juice.lol. we all enjoyed the food and will come back again and again.

I was having a serious "comfort moment" and looking for some authentic Haitian cuisine. At first bite I realized that I discovered my new spot. The food was well seasoned and the portions were abundant. For those foodies out there looking for that next best thing in Haitian cuisine I dare you to give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

Not happy with the food we ordered, the meat had a lot of acid which affected the taste. This was the 2nd time I've patronized this business thinking the food would be better. Unfortunately it was not. The owner is friendly and hope they increase the quality of Haitian food served here.

I had a taste for some Haitian food and happened to come across this place. It had raving reviews so i decided to try it out. As soon as they opened the door and I smelled the aroma I knew I came to the right place. They were incredibly sweet, funny and family oriented. She asked me to taste a piece of my griot before I left, it was so fresh and delicious it hurt my feelings to close my tray so I could leave😭😅 the plantains had the perfect light and crispy crunch..the rice was so moist and flavorful i'm ashamed to say I ate it straight out the plate face first lmaooo. I eventually found my utensils BUT it was so good I honestly didn't care!!!

My husband and I were in Ft. Myers on vacation and I wanted "real food". I came across Nardette's online and the reviews were great so i convinced him to try (even though he is skeptical of restaurant Haitian food's quality because we have been highly disappointed in Southeast Florida many times). We were both blown away! The customer service was the best I have ever experienced. The food was exceptional!! It tasted real and authentic and like a true homemade Haitian meal!! It made his birthday night!! We will definitely be back!!

Yes.yes.yes. Where do I start? If you know Haitian food, this is the place to eat! If you are looking to try Haitian food, this is what you need to have in order to know the authentic Haitian food! I tried red beans and rice and black beans and rice... both are incredible. The flavor and texture is 100% on point. I have been looking for rice like this since leaving Haiti! Then you have the fried plantains and pikliz. Perfect balance of salt and crispy plantain flavor with pikliz that is hands down the best in town. You can tell the chef's passion is in each bite. The fried goat is tender yet crispy. The sauce for stewed goat is so flavorful. Skip the other restaurants that come up in your searches. This place is it. It is also super important to mention the incredible smile and kindness you are met with at the door! Going back tomorrow for more!
