I just happened to be driving down the street this evening in downtown Vero Beach, and I stumbled upon this little gem. Countryside fresh citrus and El Sid Taqueria all in one. What a treat! Fresh orange juice slushees with ice cream, combined with tacos that come very close to authentic Mexican taquerias…and they have shrimp tacos! 🍤+🌮 = 😋!! There’s a taco truck, cinnamon buns, sauces for sale, and outdoor dining. This place is awesome! The food is delicious and the service was absolutely tops. The young people working here obviously have fun. Dine here or take out. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Overall, the staff seemed friendly but not very busy. It was a slow evening. I imagine the kitchen staff was reduced given the times. Unfortunately, the order took over 30 minutes. Two orders of Tacos and chips. They were good, but room temp. It felt like they forgot our order mid-way and the food sat somewhere. Tortilla strips were fresh (or reheated..but still really good). We tipped 30% when placing the order just because the cashier was exceptionally friendly.. had high expectations. It would have been helpful to have someone come to us as we patiently waited to say "hey folks, orders coming...sorry for the wait." We felt like an afterthought. I see a lot of replies to these reviews that sound very sincere, so I hope this comment is taken as friendly, constructive and with good intent. The pandemic has definitely affected the service industry, but there are always opportunities to improve. Good luck getting your rhythm back!

Run, don’t walk here if you’re visiting Vero Beach. This was the best meal we had while here, hands down. The margaritas were amazing - tart, sweet and almost creamy in some way. They have proper queso and guac, and the chips were outstanding. The carnitas and chicken tacos were moist and flavorful. The orange and vanilla swirl ice cream were a delicious way to end the meal. And the customer service was delightful - super-friendly, charming and warm.

Worst carnitas taco ever. Dry as a bone. Quesadilla was awful, was small, no flavor, no cheese. Tourist trap, stay away.

We give them 10 stars. Our first visit. Staying next door so that was a bonus. Blown away by the quality of the tacos , queso & homemade salsas. And yes the slushy margarita too. Excellent service. And those CHIPS!! this is one of the best taco places we have ever been. Returning tomorrow!!

***The reason for the three stars; There was very little chicken on the chicken quesadilla. There is very very little beef brisket in the empanada. The Mexican street corn was a very small portion. * That was the bad, but the good things were; The flavor was amazing. The service was amazing. For being a small restaurant it was well themed. * My wife and I found this restaurant we were excited to try it. Our server said that the portions are very big. As you can see by the pictures the empanada is no bigger than my fist and probably half as thick. Portion sizes were average but they really did skimp on the meat. It’s a shame because everything was so flavorful. As you can see by the menu – if you zoom in -there is a decent selection for choices. The thing that makes this restaurant nice is that countryside citrus is in the same space and it is great to grab for dessert afterward. If you’re looking for great taste – this is your place. If you are looking for value… Maybe in the future they will add more protein to their dishes to make it more worthwhile.

El Sid’s is a fun little local spot not far from the beach. Great atmosphere. Food is delicious .. served hot and fresh. Great tastes. Great smells. Quite a bit over-priced which is unfortunate.

You HAVE to get the orange slushee - made with fresh orange juice with the creamiest vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had! I am here with Riverside Theatre for 4 more weeks and I will be back at least 6 more times! Hahaha!!! Next time I will get tacos too!

SO HAPPY we tried this place!!! We were leaving Vero beach but remembered how people had recommended it. So we got tacos and a quesadilla and it was PERFECT!!! The only “bad” we would have to say was Krystal’s service. We’ve never been there and she wasn’t friendly at all, no smile, no nothing, just an automatic robot that had no patience to explain anything. Hope she has better days.

The orange slushy with orange soft serve has been my favorite for years- there’s nothing like it! 🍊 On my most recent visit, my niece spilled hers while we were sitting outside. An employee noticed & one of the managers came out, cleaned it up & gave us a fresh slushee. Great service that caused me to come leave a review :)

For some reason on our vacation down there we were on a huge taco kick and ended up trying a bunch of places in the area. El Sids was the best by far. The chopped cabbage radish and feta were a great spin on the classic taco and everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We also tried the ice cream here and at their main location and it was great both times. The service was also really welcoming and we got to meet the owner Sid himself. Felt like we were really supporting the community and local business vs a tourist trap. The vintage Ford F150 "pickup" counter was also super cool. What a nifty idea!

Was pleasantly surprised by the decor on Ocean Drive. They did a very unique concept for the beach area and the food did not disappoint. Very quaint sitting area along the a twinkle light path as well as a deck area alongside the sidewalk. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food! Chips are fresh and the salsas are great. Tacos come loaded and very fresh! Place is festive and kept very clean. Highly recommend!

This is a review after two visits. The food is very flavorful and its now my go to place for simple Mexican food. The margaritas are fantastic with a strong lime flavor. Their street corn is our favorite. During the busy dinner hour, getting your drink can take too long and this is the reason for only a 4 star review. Keep in mind they have limited indoor seating, but they do have outdoor seating. However, rain will factor when considering outdoor seating.

We came here because my client knew how much I like Mexican food and gave me gift card for $50. But that gift card was first problem ,they didn’t accept it cause computer have not been set up for gift cards. And that didn’t stop me to order 2 margaritas ,1 lemonade and 8 tacos with different “ protein “. 6 tacos had VERY tough beef and chicken and only 2 tacos with fish was soft and delicious. Margaritas were ok. Lemonade was helpful to swallow dry meet. Small place, sitting very limited, good for teenagers with money, cause it’s not cheap.

Shrimps tacos and brisket empanadas are out of this world. Made to order so you have to wait a bit.

We had a bowl, street corn in a cup, and tamale 🫔. All passed the taste test. Very good Mexican food! Give them a try!

I had high expectations based on the reviews, but the food is nothing special. This is supposed to be a made to order restaurant and the food wasn’t fresh. I ordered directly inside the restaurant and the food was served practically cold! It wasn’t even warm. In addition, the tacos were SO TINY, that you probably need to eat four to be satisfied and there was hardly any meat in it either. I know I can make better tacos at home. The only decent item i had was the queso dip in terms of flavor. But again, way too SMALL for $6. The queso should be half price or less for that tiny cup size. I have no idea what people are raving about because this restaurant is extremely overpriced for the mediocre portions you get…I’ll be making my own tacos rather than having leftovers at this place…

Some of the BEST food I’ve had in awhile! All the flavors were incredible. Sid, the owner, seemed like the kindest man. The prices were very reasonable. We also got the fresh orange juice which was the perfect desert. If I was a local, I’d be here a lot more often!

Had to try this place and I am so glad I did! My girlfriend and I ordered margaritas, chips and pico, and tacos! The margaritas were delicious and the tacos were fresh and made to perfection! The chips were fresh and delicious and the pico was full of flavor! For sure my favorite stop for tacos and margaritas ! Highly recommend!

Orange slushee was refreshing and flavorful. Margaritas were spot on. All the food was fresh and seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend the vegetarian bean/mushroom option. Perfect spot for a quick lunch by the beach. Beware the brain freeze! These drinks are cold!! 😁🥶
