I processed my thoughts for several hours after spending a few hundred dollars (2 people) at this restaurant based on the reviews that have been submitted. I do not understand the 5 star reviews. With that being said, the food Tasted fabulous.... every course, we did the 5-course meal ($105/ea..additional 35 of you get the filet w frau graois) and everything was delicious. However, it was not worth the price $$$. We generally enjoy spending money on food and wine and enjoy both immensely. we do not think that the value was worth the price here. I think that the plating itself Severely lacked color and appeal.. more creative work on the plates would have made the price tag a little bit more palatable. $75+ bottles of wine should absolutely be served with a decanter. Creme Brulee should be served warm. Reviews really built us up for this place but we left feeling disappointed at how much we spent vs what we experienced. Again, food tasted great but was not worth the $$$$ with severely lacked color/artistic plating appeal.

a must try. the only haute cuisine in the area. grateful that chef david took us in with same day reservation on father’s day. he was so generous to even give us bottle of wine as father’s day gift. this is thus far the only time we emptied all our plates while eating out. a genuine 5 star savory food. surprised that i walked out not feeling bloated with food. we had the 4 course meal. would wanna try the 5 course meal next time but i believe need to reserve 72hrs ahead. you can smell the food as he prep and cook them, its like a torture mouth watering moment 😁

A truly wonderful chef! The perfect place to make someone feel extremely special. Thee best place that I know in Iowa for this type of dining experience. Brings a tear to your eye and a very big smile, very evident how much care goes into his food!!

This was some of the best food my wife and I have ever had. Chef David was amazing and even let us watch him cook our food. The food is on the more expensive side but definitely worth it in my opinion. I advise anyone going to this restaurant to try as many things as possible, even if they out the norm for you. It is unlikely you will be disappointed. Thanks for a great anniversary Chef David! By the way this was our second time here and it was just as amazing as the first time, if not better!

Amazing experience. Definitely a gem in the Iowa City/Coralville area. The food was superb and the owner couldn’t have been kinder. Will definitely be back in the near future!

Amazing food and very nice place! The owner is so kind and was amazing to my family he opened early for us and we had the place to ourselves for my brother’s graduation. Excellent service and definitely would come back!

A fantastic experience. The establishment is orchestrated by one individual who made our night feel exceptionally exclusive. We were lucky to have the space to ourselves towards the end of our visit making our evening even more intimate. The service is friendly and attentive-the atmosphere exceptionally relaxing, and the food delicious.

Excellent meal and service. You are waited on by the owner/chef. Every bite is amazing. The meal selection is limited to a choice of four courses. Plan on spending a minimum of $200, but the food is worth it. This is an unexpected gem anywhere, but especially in North Liberty Iowa. There are only four tables and reservations are recommended. Same day reservations require a credit card to hold the table and there is a substantial no show fee because the food is fresh.

Amazing service and the BEST food. He'll open as long as there's a reservation which meant on this particular night we had the place to ourself. It's an intimate setting and absolutely worth every penny. Never met a nicer owner.

My fiancé and I just ate here for the first time ever. This is the BEST food we have ever had. The main course was so delicious I cannot stress this enough. It is worth the money, it is such an experience. The ambiance, service, and food was just outstanding. We will be returning here, no doubt. I cannot stress how genuine the chef is!

This was quite literally the best food and best experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My fiancée and I went out for a much-needed date night and we could not be more satisfied with the quality of service we received, as well as the quality of each dish. The chef, who was also our server, was very wholesome and genuine, and made this night a memorable one for us. I would highly recommend for anyone to have this experience as well.

My fiancé surprised me for Valentine’s Day with this incredible restaurant!!! We both had the 5 course meal and can’t say enough great things about the food. Everything tasted amazing and great portion sizes. Great wine selection as well. Honestly just the experience itself was fantastic and can’t wait to spend our next celebration here!!!

Specifically requested this place for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint! Very intimate experience. The food was fresh and prepared with a great level of care. It was delicious! No other restaurant in the area holds a candle to it. The chef provided great conversation as well!

I do not hesitate to give David and his restaurant 5 stars. The quality of the food was superb, and the experience was special. There is nothing like it in Iowa City and the quality is second to none. Worth every penny and then some. Thank you!

Delicious food and excellent experience. They had a small menu but that is typically a good sign in my opinion. We ordered everything on the menu and it was all great. I see a few reviewers complaining about the price but we thought the food was well worth the price. Would recommend to anyone in the area who's looking for an excellent upscale restaurant.

5 stars, no less. This is an authentic fine dining experience. The food is beyond delicious. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is warm and enchanting. The price is worth the experience.
