I cant even begin to explain how wonderful of an experience this was! Our guide Gavin was absolutely amazing and extremely knowledgeable about the area, he made me and my daughter feel very comfortable and confident in our abilities (literally our first time kayaking). We decided after leaving our tour that we will 100% be doing this again as well as bringing the rest of the family! Thank you again, Gavin for such a great day! We look forward to seeing you next time!

This kayak adventure was one of the highlights of my trip. I knew there was a possibility of not seeing an alligator, fortunately we did get to see one. Sighting or not, this is a definite must do. The beautiful scenery can't be matched. You feel like you have entered a completely different world, especially from the normal beach views in the Outerbanks. My guide Tasha was phenomenal! Very knowledgeable, great people skills! She really made the trip wonderful!

My boyfriend and I booked a 9am kayak tour with Outer Banks Kayak Adventures. I booked about a week in advance in order to ensure a spot during our stay in Corolla, NC. We arrived at the given address a few minutes before 9am. Our guide, Gavin, was already there, with our kayaks ready to launch. It was July but still cool in the shade. Gavin gave us a quick class in how to kayak, and we were off! There was a special kayak dock thing that allowed you to get into your kayak more easily. We set off down a local creek. No current, no bugs and lots of shade, what more could you ask for? So quiet and peaceful. Gavin explained to us that this creek was only a few feet deep. So even if someone did fall overboard (not an easy thing to do), they could stand easily. He gave us some history and pointed out some birds and wildlife. Very nice way to spend a morning! Highly recommend for people of all ages, beginners too! Also, just fyi, I have terrible knee arthritis and have a hard time squatting into a kayak. With our guide Gavin's permission, I was able to get out of my kayak at the boat ramp. I paddled to where the water was knee deep, then simply swung my legs over the side and into the water. Just like standing up from a chair. So don't let sore knees stop you!

Our trip through the Maritime Forest was magical! Gavin did a great job teaching us about the local habitat. Very knowledgeable and personable. Will definitely try another tour on our next visit!

We had three in our party and had a great experience! Erika, our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area and the wildlife. The trip was not rushed; we spent the two hours at a leisurely pace and was encouraged to explore in some areas. She even allowed anyone to take the lead through the canals, which was my favorite part-such a rich habitat. We saw a few alligators and turtles, but no bears. I expected to see more water birds but those were not so abundant in that area. Overall it was a fun family activity!

Did the Alligator River tour with Courtney earlier this week and had a blast. She was super knowledgeable on different wildlife, nature and local history of the area. It was nice and slow. She made sure we took our time and enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. 10/10 would recommend this tour, this company, and Courtney as a guide. We had a great time, thank you!!

Had a great beginner, 90 minute kayak trip with Gavin. Equipment clean and was ready at our location. Easy pace and great maritime forest views, a part of OBX that too few see. Good start to our day, tip your guide!

Great little trip with a great guide. Did the alligator river trip and had an amazing time. It was such peaceful and relaxing experience. Saw two alligators and learned a lot about the area and had great conversations talking with our guide Courtney and the other group members. Would definitely recommend for anyone.
