This was a very reputable and well priced business. The horses a simply beautiful and friendly. They also have a nice sitting area and other animals on the farm. The lady that directed our buggy was very entertaining, she told us stories and some background on the Amish culture. We also met a very nice spirited Amish man that said we were very nice people. This made me smile. I felt welcomed here. This was definitely a nice experience.

First Buggy Ride & it was fun! We did have a bit of a wait since it was busy when we pulled up but they had animals to feed, a picnic tables & a playground for the kids. Parking was limited so we parked across the street per one of the worker's instructions. We did the 3 mile ride & Eva was our driver. She was very friendly, pointed out/explained things along our ride & answered any questions we had. It was pretty cool learning about the Amish lifestyle.

Beautiful place for getting to know Amish folks and their simple ways of life. Buggy ride and the nice conversation with rider is a plus. Go for the 1 hr ride and make sure to Enjoy the stop at the Amish shop and all the goodies they have. Make sure you have some 💵 on you since credit cards are not that popular 😂

The #1 thing my kid wanted to do on our trip to the Lancaster area was ride a real horse and buggy. We saw so many advertisements for a nearby competitor (J&A), so we started at J&A. I was disappointed upon arrival that 1) their prices seemed really high and 2) it didn't look authentic. So we drove to Abe's. I'm so so so so so glad we did!!!! The staff was Amish and Mennonite, and all so friendly. The prices were less than J&A. We waited about 30 minutes for our turn, but there was a nice playground area and some animals to view which made the wait pretty easy. We had our own buggy for a 45 minute ride. Our guide, Paul, was very knowledgeable and answered my kid's 100 questions with patience and thoughtfulness. Abe's was definitely the buggy experience we had hoped for in PA Dutch Country. I highly recommend it!!!

Just got back from the 6.5 mile buggy ride. Sadie was fantastic. I was able to take my Golden Retriever. If you have never done this it is a must do!!! Best way to see the beautiful Amish country side. Thank you Abes and Sadie for the great memories.

We had tons of fun. It is a bit pricey but experience is worth it. Kids got to drive the buggy and trot under driver's supervision - they loved it.

Very authentic Amish Buggy ride not a bus pulled by horses. Three of us had an enjoyable 45 minute private tour which included a torrential downpour! We all stayed dry and had a great experience. Our guide, David, entertained our 6 year old granddaughter with a series of funny jokes. Very relaxing ride through the countryside listening to the horse hoofs clopping along.

Great tour to sight seeing Amish farm lands. The ride was pleasant I got a little anxious when we were into the main road because real traffic goes there at a normal speed but the driver lady managed very well. She was nice and helpful sharing her culture with us.

This was a good location, a variety of options for tours, friendly staff, and there's a decent play area for kids while they wait. The only issue I had was that the buggy rides are often shared with other parties. Sometimes, it can be a little cramped, especially the smaller ones.

Wonderful buggy ride for our family of five. Little feeding/petting animal area, swing set for kids and plenty of seating while waiting. All staff SUPER friendly- chatted with is while we waiting and pwt someof the horses. I called before going and the woman was extremely helpful answering my questions. They accept credit cards and have an actual restroom. No foods to purchase but did have a few amish handcrafted items to purchase. We waited about 40 min. but it went by quickly. Our drivers name was Ervan and he was 83 years old and had been driving for 30 years. Our horses name was Jewel. Ervan was VERY friendly and encouraged both of our young kids to sit up front with him. He let my 7y.o. take the reigns for a bit. Ervan shared a wealth of information about the Amish, Lancaster and farming. His family was Amish when he was a child but left the community for personal reasons. Ervan has 5 children and 15 grandchildren!!! We took the 3 mile ride and it was the perfect amount of time (30 min). So happy we went to Abes, we would absolutely go again! (We were planning to go to another place but they only had wagons and advertised they accepted credit cards but actually didn't. They also weren't as friendly and seemed over commercialized.)

Was a nice buggy tour of the Amish town and the stop at the Mennonite bakery. Lydanna was sweet and kind and answered all our answers.

Wonderful! A moment to slow down and enjoy. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The playground and farm animals are just the thing to take you back to a simpler time. I highly recommend the longer rides as they stop at the bakeshop where you can purchase out of this world homemade baked goods. A quintessential must in Amish country.

We went to Abe’s on Saturday. I understand that everywhere is short staffed, but there appeared to be no organization, we were told it would be 1/2 hour for ride, we waited well over an hour on a very hot day. Staff were arguing and fighting among each other, they were not Amish. Our driver was Mennonite, but could not be heard above screaming children and loud talking parents, he asked them to please be quieter so all guests could hear. They ignored him. You are packed on buggy shoulder to shoulder. “Amish” farm you stop at is selling drinks, Whoopie pies, and soft baked commercial pretzels. Not enjoyable, save your money!

Our tour guide was so sweet and throughly informative of the amish culture. Beautiful scenery and calming ride through the village.

I live locally so I was skeptical about this ride, but it was so fun!!! Our driver was so sweet and knowledgeable and the owner helped us find the best buggy for my mom to get in and out of. Great service and a fun ride! Take the longer ride and don’t be scared to ask questions. But please do not take pictures of the drivers/tour guides without asking if they’re ok with it, that’s just rude. Also there is a play area and petting zoo for the kiddos while you wait. Loved it

The three of us did a private 3-mile tour. Sadie was our guide and showed us some houses and gave us a brief and very interesting insight into Amish life. It was a pleasure and highly recommended.
