👍👍 Liz was the best event coordinator that we could've had! My brother/sister in law got married here. They used the space for their ceremony and reception. It worked great! AMAZING food that was cooked right in front of us the whole time. People often mention event, Kitchen, dinner, staff, space, wedding, Tuesday, taco, excellent, venue,

In every town there are people and places that add to the community just by their presence; The Kitchen is both. It's a great place for an event, but Taco Tuesdays are every week and always incredible. Ann and Jen make it a special occasion whether it's Taco Tuesday, a cooking class, wedding reception or bachelor dinner. We've been there for all of them and every time has been a gift. The city is better because of The Kitchen and the people behind it.

We hosted a bridal shower in the Studio space and it was perfect. Planning the event from out of state could not have been easier. They were communicative, thorough, and friendly. The food was perfect, the space is absolutely gorgeous and the staff was absolutely lovely!

I honestly couldn’t imagine having our reception anywhere else. We knew from the moment we walked in, this was the place! This venue is just so intimate and the food is amazing! My family is still talking about having the best tacos… yes, we served family style tacos and would do it again! Also the bar tenders where so amazing, the main mixologist created custom drinks for us for the day and everyone loved them. Also, working with the event planner was so nice. She was very responsive and helpful. I trusted them 100% and because of that there was no stress, which is always ideal when planning an event! Thank you Kitchen team!

I had my wedding reception at The Kitchen and I couldn't be happier with how everything went. From the start, Liz was incredibly detailed and communicative. The space itself is beautiful and hardly needs any additional decorations to make it a unique venue, perfect for an intimate wedding. My guests were also raving about the food all night and said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Overall, really positive experience and I'm thankful I had my reception here!

I came for taco Tuesday as I understood this place to be quite innovative in their approach. I left taco Tuesday disappointed--they ruined taco Tuesday! Ok so this is one of those so-called "restaurants" where you find your own seat, you go to the counter to order, food at one counter, drinks at another, if you want water, you can get a cup and fill it yourself, you walk your order ticket over to the kitchen (why?!) and don't forget you'll have to bus your own table when you are through. Just to be clear, this is not how a restaurant works! This is how a cafeteria works. For that alone, I won't be coming back. The fact that places like these have the balls to ask for a tip is astonishing. Beyond the complete lack of hospitality, you're paying somewhere around $6 for a taco. If it were a good taco, the lack of service might be forgiven, but they weren't good tacos AT ALL. I got three and honestly, they were so forgettable, I can't even really recall any useful detail beyond the fact that they were not at all special given the price. So there I sat, next to the previous guests' leftovers and garbage (they chose not to bus their table--can't say I blame them) at a dirty table eating overpriced mediocre tacos and decided that I shall not be making a return visit. Good Day! Update: I ended up here for a charity event and more of the same. Messy tables, incongruous entree offerings and DIY dinner. I ordered a beer for dinner since nothing on the menu looked appealing and it was served in a jar. I thought that whole "ha ha it is funny to drink from jars" thing was done. I guess not. Maybe they should serve the wine from jars too.

I was invited to an event at The Kitchen last night, and I went, by myself, not knowing what I was in store for. It turned out to be one of the most fun, delicious events I have ever been too!! As one of the people who worked there explained, it's not a cooking class, but a fun, shared cooking experience!! In less than 2 hours, with all the ingredients set out and the guidance of the staff, we prepared a fresh, tasty meal....right up to the warm Mexican Chocolate cake, which you could smell baking in the oven as we got ready to eat dinner!! As we were eating I said to a few people around me that I didn't feel like I was eating in a restuarant. The food had such a made at home in my kitchen flavor. It was absolutely wonderful!!! Besides all that .... the facility was very clean and the staff was excellent!!!!

I've been staying at the Country Inn & Suites about every other week since October 2021. Nice place to stay. Suites are spacious and comfortable. Needs some updating though. No USB ports to charge phones or sport watches. Better have a charge w/ you. Suites have microwaves and mini frigs in them. The showers do take some time to got hot, especially on the 3rd floor. I've always been greeted w/ a smile at the desk when checking in or out. And the dining staff do a great job having the breakfasts ready & the coffee hit in the mornings. The Country Inn & Suites is close to everything, food, fuel, shopping, & pharmacy. I'll be back on my next trip to Sycamore & DeKalb.

We attended a birthday party here this passed weekend and it was so much fun! We participated in the preparation of our meal for 20 people. I don't know how to cook, but I learned so much! What a fun concept!

We loved having our rehearsal dinner at The Kitchen! It was such a nice big space for our group to hang out and mingle. The staff was so easy to work with. They made figuring out our food, drink, decor, and table layout SO easy! The food was also delicious and there were so many great options to choose from. The room is so beautiful and you don't need much of any additional decor items and that made it easy to come straight after our rehearsal at the church. Can't recommend them enough! My husband and I are excited to try one of their events this coming year :).

We booked our holiday dinner for our small company at the Kitchen. It couldn't have gone better! The staff was great to work with, everyone had a total blast, and the food and cocktails were excellent. We are extremely glad we had our party here and would definitely come back in the future. The head chef really knew what he was doing. The place is also very beautifully decorated for Christmas!

Thanks to The Kitchen staff my friends birthday celebration was a smashing success. In spite of the fact that The Kitchen was transitioning it's take home meal kits from Summer to Fall they prepared an Italian Chicken take home kit for me. They went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Thank you so much! You have gained a loyal customer!
