So many vegetarian options, all the choices of appetizers, great mango lassi. Nothing not to like here. You can also choose your spice level.

Phenomenal Indian food, their buffet is one of the best in town. Highly recommend the Palak Paneer. Their dining room has shrunk somewhat due to the last year, but the food is as incredible as ever.

Indian is our favorite meal so when we recently moved to the area we were excited to try the nearest option. We came for dinner and arrived 1hr30 min before closing. There were two tables just leaving as we arrived, making us the only people in the restaurant. There was no music on, making it eerily quiet for our entire meal. Appetizers were fantastic and I can't rave enough about the accompanying chutneys/sauces. Best by far that we've tried across many cities. We were also impressed by tandoori - exceptionally flavored and not dry at all like many places. The curries were decent, but heavier on the oil than i prefer. Servers were extremely friendly and attentive, but we had a series of miscommunications. That was no big deal but with each attempt to clarify they walked steps away to the register or kitchen to discuss as a group, making it very loud and awkward since again - no music. I think we'll be back because the food really was good, but maybe just for take out so we can have some ambiance.

Best of India catered an event I photographed recently and the food was phenomenal! There were a lot of vegan/vegetarian options and the flavor was delicious.

Super great food and the service is amazing. They are really responsive, friendly, and quick. Enjoyed the chai, mango lassi , aloo banda, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, chicken korma. The spice level is great - even at a medium it brought a nice heat. Absolutely my favorite Indian restaurant in the Twin Cities. Its tough to rate the atmosphere. I find it homey and a place where they know your "face/name". That's my kind of place.

The best Indian place in the area, hands down. Their naan is bigger and tastier than other places I've been, and the food is top tier quality. I've gone here many, many times and I have never been disappointed. The owner is also a delight! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

This restaurant made us really happy. Outstanding food and really great staff. We eat a lot of Indian style cuisine in the Minneapolis area and this became our favorite restaurant. Highly recommend you try a dish that has the house-made paneer, it stood out from others we’ve had. The house made Masala Chai was wonderful as well as the vegetable samosas as an appetizer. Delicious garlic naan. We can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes. Their malai kofta had cheese in it, which was so delicious and different from others - highly recommend! And the tikka paneer (red sauce paneer) was amazing. Thank you!

We've been eating here for years. Love the food and the staff. Sometimes the wait is a bit long, but totally worth it! Just had our first dine-in experience since covid and it was great to be back at one of our favorite restaurants in the area.

Excellent food, great service. I got 4/5 hot which the charming chef called “Indian Hot” and it was perfectly spiced. The Garlic Naan had big chunks of garlic and was buttery and fresh. The best Indian food I’ve had in a while!! Highly recommend. Don’t miss it. A major gem in the suburbs.

We ate here with a part of 6 + infant and it was a great meal! The food is amazing - medium-spice is on the hotter side but was perfect for me. The staff have a lot of recommendations and helpful ideas of how much rice and other things to order for the table to accommodate everyone- take their suggestions! Will definitely eat here again!

Absolutely amazing food!! Will definitely be coming back. The naan is one of the best I’ve ever had! And they give great portions. Service is wonderful.

Just had the absolute pleasure of trying this restaurant! Very authentic Indian food. The owner was very much involved and was our waiter and had great recommendations and made each one of our dishes just a bit different from the menu description. Basically a custom meal for each of us. The chai tea was amazing! He even treated us at the end of our meal to an authentic Indian dessert he was making for a large take out order. Great service, attentive waitstaff, and delicious food! Would go back again and again!

Wait staff was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Gave a great recommendation of the Madras curry chicken, and was able to identify the right spice level for me. Also ordered my usual of chicken Tikka masala, which was the perfect spice level when ordered "hot," might even try "Indian hot" next time. Garlic naan was some of the best I have had in town, very fresh and lots of garlic. Prices were very reasonable with good portions, which isn't the case these days with Minneapolis Indian restaurants with the higher minimum wage requirement. Could tell the chef takes pride in the food, worth the short drive away from the city to get a better overall experience. Mango lassi was top notch as well! Will definitely be back!

Best Indian food ever! As someone who’s been to multiple Indian restaurants, this one is definitely my favorite. The food is amazing and extremely flavorful. You can tell that they take the time to make sure that everything is prepared really well. And if you have any dietary restrictions or food sensitivities, they do great at modifying the dish and omitting ingredients if you ask them to. That’s been extremely helpful. The customer service is always 10 out of 10! Everyone always goes above and beyond to give great service. The restaurant itself is clean and the atmosphere is very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it!

Great atmosphere and wonderful attendance from our servers. The friendliest, most pleasant experience at an Indian restaurant my wife and I have been a part of so far. Plus, the food was flavorful and satisfying. I especially enjoyed their garlic Naan! We are very happy with Best of India!

Very good food quality. Mutton is very good. We ordered a party for 180 head count. All veg and nonveg food are good. Food packed very good way. The only thing is you have to pick up the food. They need to consider delivery food option(min $100 order or 20 miles etc.), which will increase business and reach more customers. But food is good. Gobi with potato, paneer, butter chicken, and mutton(very good).

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Best of India, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped inside, the restaurant exuded a warm and inviting ambiance, setting the stage for an enjoyable culinary journey. One of the highlights of our visit was the impeccable service we received. The owner and manager personally greeted us and took the time to guide us through the menu, making recommendations based on our preferences. Their attentive and friendly nature made us feel welcomed and ensured that we had a memorable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. Best of India truly lived up to its name by delivering a culinary adventure that showcased the best flavors of Indian cuisine. We indulged in a variety of dishes, including chicken curry, shrimp curry, and an assortment of appetizers. The chicken curry boasted tender and succulent pieces of chicken bathed in a rich and aromatic sauce that left us craving for more. The shrimp curry was equally delightful, with plump and juicy shrimp immersed in a harmonious blend of spices. The appetizers were a treat for the taste buds, perfectly complementing the main course with their crispy textures and tantalizing flavors. What pleasantly surprised us was the affordability of the dining experience. Despite the high quality of the food and service, the prices were reasonable, making it a fantastic value for money. Best of India managed to strike a balance between quality and affordability, which is commendable. Would recommend!

Best Indian food we have ever had! We have tried a lot of places downtown and in west Mpls area. We enjoyed the special dinner for two. Amazing deal that allowed us to try a little of several things. We had so much food. The owner made amazing recommendations and and made amazing sauces. The chai was incredible. My partner hasn’t been a chai fan but couldn’t get enough. Didn’t think to take photos until was almost done eating. Our new favorite place.

I tried Best of India for the first time last week, and I've been craving more ever since! The food is amazing with a lot to choose from. The staff is very friendly and they're good at what they do... very good hosts. I'd go as far to say it was the best meal I've had at an Indian restaurant in the Twin Cities. I highly recommend it!

Great Indian food, so much so that we drive past multiple other Indian spots to come here. I have been to India and this scratches the itch when I get a craving. Spicy if you want it, but still packed with flavor. Not just overloaded with heat. Go here. Support them! Great people making delicious food.

Such flavor is hard to come by, the service is great, and the spice can actually be hot. Come here for good food.

Consistently fresh and good. Super reasonable and a friendly staff. They have updated and spruced up the place since the pandemic and their goat curry and paranthas and palak paneer are still my favorite. Been coming here for almost 10 years. It's consistent. I like that very much.

I have ordered from 3-4 Indian restaurants since I moved to MN about 3 years ago. This place, hands down, has the best food. Love the Chicken Tika Masala. The sauce is perfection.

Best Indian food around! Stopped in on July 4th and sat for a meal. Normally I get take out. Today I ordered the Chicken and Garlic, I was so delicious! They are always so nice when you come in or take out. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment.

We live this place. The food is so good and flavorful but they can keep it flavorful while accommodating those of us who don't do spicy

This place is amazing! Definitely a go-to for Indian food in the SLP/Mpls area. Very tasty dishes--we had the chicken saag, lamb korma, and chicken tikka and all of them were EXCELLENT! They also have a lovely restaurant with beautiful decor...an all-around nice experience. I will definitely be returning in the future!

Absolutely fantastic! I had a lamb dish, and it was perfectly tender, and pleasantly spicy (I ordered it hot, since I was cautious against getting it "indian hot"). We also got the chili garlic naan, which is a garlic lovers paradise. Be sure to get the yogurt with cucumber and carrots, we really enjoyed that. Overall, they were incredibly friendly, and the service was quick and helpful. We will definitely be back again!

My family and I love ordering take out from here. We love the rice, the naan, chicken curry and Chicken vindaloo. We love that you can choose the spicy level for your food. We order at least once a week and it never disappoints. We give the food a 5/5. The customer service is also great.

  • 5/5 Mc F. 1 year ago on Google
Been eating here for years both take away and dine in and it is consistently very good Indian food. The naan is always so good, probably the best in town. The staff always takes good care of you. Great experience!

I was in Minneapolis for the first time in my life last week and a friend of mine told me that I should check this place out since I love Indian food. I have been to many Indian restaurants in my life and I would have to rank this in the top three .... I love the food, it was wonderful. Also I like the creamy chutney first time I've ever seen that and that was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and yes I took a doggy bag with me which traveled in my car six and a half hours till I got back home and finished at that evening. I wish they delivered to Chicago LOL

Highly recommend! Just finished dinner (part of a party of 8) and the food was amazing. I forgot to take photos - we were too busy eating. My husband and I did the dinner for two - included appetizers, choice of bread, choice of curry, a selection of entrees and dessert (mango and rice pudding). It was delicious (and a great value). The owner checked on us several time. A small place - a little gem.

This was hands down the best service and dine in experience I have ever had, not just at an Indian restaurant, but at any restaurant. Not only were they slammed in the middle of a weekend dinner rush with non-stop to-go Uber eat orders, but they were able to keep up with the dine in service. The food itself was phenomenal. I've been to a lot of fancy locales for Indian (i.e. Dancing Ganesha, Blue Fox, Bay Leaf, etc.) and Best of India holds true to its name. Don't let the "hole in the wall" atmosphere fool you, they have the best tasting Indian food here. Pricing is fair and on par with any Indian restaurant, but I was fasting this day so I was pretty hungry and ordered a ton of food.

  • 5/5 Sydney W. 1 year ago on Google
Truly the BEST!!! I've lived a lot of places with quite a bit of good Indian food, but Best of India is truly the best I've ever had. Their paneer is LIFE-CHANGING! The texture and flavor of every dish we've had has been so rich and delicious - I literally can't get enough. (And I love it when the owners send my husband home with extra little desserts - the owners are so sweet!)

😐 Over all experience was okay. Maybe I'm spoiled but I was hoping for the big comfy recliners you see in a lot of theaters these days. They were regular old school movie theater seats which were comfy enough if the person behind wasn't kicking my chair or pulling the back of it to help them stand up...
