Don't have your knives shared here. I brought in 6 knives (the high end ones they sell) I was charged $ 1.00 an inch. At this point my oldest knife looks like it's done for and the others I'm going to have to see. So $1.00 an inch came to 37 or 40 bucks. And just so it's clear my oldest knife is 15 to 20 years old I take care of them. I brought them all the way from CA. So I will also say if your going to shop there beware.

Went to a cooking class here, drive down from Roanoke. Was happy to find sufficient parking in back of the store, always an issue in Blacksburg in this area. The class was on Tex Mex and the chef was a young lady who was from Texas. We watched and listened and followed written recipes as she made dinner and dessert. More food than one could eat, at least for me and we got to try everything. Wine and sometimes beer are available at an extra charge as are other beverages. Water is served. The class was clear, we were at a small back table with another couple but had no difficulty seeing and hearing. The chef made sure she turned frequently and showed us what was going on. Get there early for a seat facing the cooktop! We were 15 minutes early and some of the last to be seated. It was a very enjoyable evening and I'm looking forward to taking another class.

Awesome store with far more than I expected. Including organic foods, fair-trade coffee and a variety of amazing cooking products. Super happy with the experience.

Super cute store. Wonderful selection. Super friendly and nice staff. Lots of really excellent quality tools and toys and ingredients. I would love to try their cooking classes. Prices are a bit higher than the even the quality of products explains. My guess is the location is expensive. Parking is difficult but that is true anywhere in that area.

Beautiful store with lots of nice cookware, gadgets, and a gourmet food section. Have taken two classes (Soups and Stews and Healthy Cooking) here and both times enjoyable. The food was delicious. The owner has been pleasant, answers questions, and willing to share ideas about how to prepare certain things. We have ordered fresh seafood through the store and it has been fabulous. The spices, oils, and vinegars have all been delicious. The store has a niche market and we are fans!

Cozy store with a great selection of high end kitchenware. You can also find wines, truffles, snacks, and much more. The cooking classes look like a lot of fun. The staff are always super friendly and helpful.

My wife and I shop here all the time for Balsamic Vinegar and wine. The Vinegar is the best we can find in the area. The cooking classes are great. I've done both the Sushi class and the Knife Skills class. The service staff are friendly, and Roya is a delight to talk to. The prices are high, but the niche of the store is the high-quality *gourmet* products you can't get anywhere else. If that isn't your thing and you want the cheapest salt you can get, go to Walmart.

Love The Gourmet Pantry not only because it's a great place to get restaurant quality wines, but, when I'm in need of a great hostess gift basket - they create the best! Also, it's a great place to go for one of Roya's cooking classes; my husband and I go for a "date night!" the food is always amazing! Then if you are looking to meet new ladies in the NRV; then come to Ladies wine night! I've met some pretty amazing ladies there. Guess what I'm trying to say--is you can't go wrong at whatever it is you are looking for at The Gourmet Pantry. Enjoy!
