Great place for family picnic 🧺, mini fishing 🎣 in a small pond where you can see lot of lily pads.. take a guided to the great brook farm visit cow 🐄 and calf 🐮, pet them.. If you have a garden 🪴 then take home natural manure for your plants 🌱$6 a pound.. It can do magic 🪄 to your plants 🪴.. if you are adventurous then try the Biking 🚴 trials. At last taste 👅 the farm ice cream 🍦 from the fresh milk 🥛. We were able to spend more than half day here.. without making boring for kids. Lol 😂

I took my daughter to this farm last weekend! It was an amazing experience with my little one. We found many kinds of mushrooms and saw a deer walking around the forest! Yummy ice cream and cute animals at the farm. Highly recommend it to anyone especially for kids.

I had the most delightful experience at Great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle! This place is an absolute gem, and I can't recommend it enough for families and nature enthusiasts alike. The first thing that struck me was the sheer beauty of the park. The serene pond and expansive fields provide a picturesque backdrop for a day of outdoor adventure. Whether you're looking to have a leisurely picnic, go for a hike, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings, this park has it all. But what truly sets Great Brook Farm State Park apart is the incredible array of farm animals they have on display. I felt like a kid again as I watched the cows, goats, chickens, and pigs go about their daily routines. It's a fantastic opportunity for children (and adults!) to connect with nature and learn about farm life firsthand. And of course, the highlight of my visit was the ice cream. I couldn't resist trying a scoop, and it was nothing short of heavenly. The flavors were so rich and delicious. What makes this place even better is that it's an ideal spot for the whole family. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, from exploring the farm to playing by the pond. It's an educational and fun experience rolled into one. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, eager to answer any questions and make our visit enjoyable. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Great Brook Farm State Park is a true treasure. Whether you're a nature lover, a foodie, or simply looking for a great day out with your loved ones, this place has it all. I can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in Carlisle!

A total hidden gem for us trail runners! I was able to do a beautiful 5 mile loop following well maintained trails and easy to follow routes. I’ll be back for longer runs too! Lots to explore and beautiful!

Great place for the family to enjoy a nice walk or bike ride. A day of picnicking. A chance to mingle with farm animals or enjoy a refreshing ice cream sundae. 5 stars was an easy choice to leave. We had a fantastic day there.

This is one of my favorite parks. It's very much a part of my life - I've been coming here for twenty years with friends and family to take walks and have picnics. It's easy to navigate, it's beautiful, there is ice cream, cows, goats, pigs and chickens! The park is dog friendly, make sure to have your leash and doggy bags. There's a chance other dogs will be running around without a leash. Horseback riders frequent this park. Sometimes there are shows. It's also a good place for cross country skiing. The rent skis out to those who are interested. There are bathrooms and you have to pay to park.

This park has a ton of trails, so you have many options to make your adventure long or short. The trails are well marked and nicely maintained. We really enjoyed visiting the farm and seeing the animals (you can't top bany cows... but also, alpacas!!). The ice cream stand is closed for the season, but we'll try to make it next year for sure. It's usually open April - October. We have visited twice, and each time, we have explored a different part of the park. This place is huge. I don't think we'd ever tire of visiting.

This is a beautiful place to cross country ski as long as The conditions are cold enough. On Sunday. It was beautiful to start out and everything was groomed well and then it started to get icy as melted. I can't wait to go back if it snows again

Great place to walk the dog and have the kids get some exercise. Plenty of trails from novice to expert. Lots of good but manageable hills. And every walk ends with a Richardson ice cream!

We were looking for a winter walk and initially came from the east. We were told that the trails on the east were groomed and reserved for cross country skiing but the "acorn" trails on the west were open for hiking. The main parking lot was packed but people kept coming and going so we were able to find a parking spot with no trouble. The trails were mostly flat and the loop we did was just right for pre-schooler.

BABY GOATS! The ice cream is a nice touch too. But boy you can feed the baby goats right now and they are mighty cute. The older goats are pretty laid back. The sheep have some serious ATTITUDE!!

Cozy place in reservation. You can pet calves, goats, pigs and llama. Take quarters with you to buy food for the animals. Next to an ice cream store! You must visit there for sure! There is a pond and a toilet on site. Your kids will love it!

Amazing place to relax in nature. The petting farm is great for kids. The free tour of the farm was excellent—many beautiful trails. I recommend ending the day eating the amazing homemade ice cream.

Once we found it, hidden back from the parking lot on a walking trail, it was a great stop for ice cream, relaxing by the pond, and a really cute animal area that was almost a petting zoo! Many trails to explore and lots to see!

Wonderful ice cream, just about the best I've had, good flavor selection. Be prepared for a walking a few minutes down the trail from the parking lot because the ice cream location is not readily visible from the parking lot. But just follow the path past the red building and up the hill and you'll see it. You can sit outside at the picnic tables after you get your ice cream amidst the cows that produce the milk that made the ice cream! Also, they have cow manure compost available at the next driveway a tenth of a mile or so from the parking lot.

Loved the animals, the well kept grounds, and the beautiful walking trails. Perfect for an afternoon hike with plenty of options for distance and intensity.

Pretty scenic park to get some exercise or enjoy ones day out but near the parking lot during closing hours is very good for stargazing ;) the other few nights I saw a shooting star pass. Hope this is not illegal...

Love this park. We bring our dog here on walks and every time I go I have moments of appreciation for how beautiful and peaceful my surroundings are. Plenty of parking, we get an annual pass because we go so often. Lots of trails that take you far from the road so you can be surrounded by nature. You can walk by the cows in the field and go up to see the goats and ducks and pigs. We've seen lots of wild turtles and snakes and deer. Some days the manure smell is pretty strong but that's to be expected on a farm with cows Overall a lovely park. 10/10 would recommend.

Great place for families especially those with young kids. Ice cream is one of the best in the area with a couple animals and feeding stations just bring quarters. Kids are always catching frogs and other critters by the pond which is great to see. Plenty of easy trails to make the day as long or short as you like.

Great hiking trails. Nice place to take dogs, kids, etc. Ice cream is pretty good too. Wear boots and be careful during the winter months.

Lots of fun trails. The kids love to see the animals. Free range chickens were exciting and terrifying at the same time. So fun!

This is a truly tremendous place! I took a child with mobility issues there for ice cream on opening day last weekend, and the staff and the owner could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The ice cream is great too, and the animals (cows, goats, chickens, etc) make it a perfect outing for kids! Extremely highly recommended for families with children (and really for anyone who likes ice cream).

Great place for a low-key hike, picnic, or a walk in nature! They have amazing homemade ice cream and different animals. Bring cash, they prefer it over credit.

This is a fabulous spot. I have cross country skied here, I have mountain bike tier, I have walked around. It's super sweet and lots of ground to cover. The ice cream is delicious and there are farm animals to see next door.

👍 It's an OK setup. I enjoy watching my little one playing on the slides, running across the bridge, and balancing her way across the beams. The field is ginormous, which is awesome, surrounded by a walking trail. There's electricity at the pavilion, access to water, and water fountains. There's...
