Wow!!! What an amazing gem in this wonderful town! The amount of well presented history under one roof was surprising! The displays are beautiful and the restoration projects underway are open and available for you to get an up-close look at their painstaking work, definitely a labor of love! Worth the time to stop in and pay these guys a visit! Sign-in at the front desk of no one is there, it helps their funding for such a notable cause!

Very cool Museum. It is really nice to be able to touch and go into some of the aircraft. The restoration efforts being part of the museum was really interesting. We were given an excellent tour. I can’t wait to see the B17 Champaign Lady fly once they complete the build.

This is an awesome little museum. The volunteers are very friendly and stop to talk to you, give you some history, explain what they are working on and more. Several aircraft inside with the star the B17 they are rebuilding. You can roam the entire faculty including the shop. This is free but please leave a donation or buy something from the gift shop.

Small place but a great place to see an active B-25 Mitchell Bomber. They were planning to fire it up for a flight but I couldn't wait to see it.

One of the best museum’s around. Don’t let the small size fool you. If you pass it by you will be missing this beautiful gem of a hanger and the the awesome things displayed. I happen to stop by in late afternoon. I spent about an hour and a half before having to continue on with my trip. I will definitely be back as this place deserves more time. The staff was really welcoming and I felt like they really rolled out the red carpet. Please stop by it’s worth the time and if you can please donate whatever you can.

We were so lucky to be able to celebrate my Uncle's 100 birthday at the Champagne Aviation Museum. This museum has so much to see. It's a wonderful collection of history.

This museum is awesome if you're interested in WWII airplanes. We met two WWII vets while we were there. The volunteers who work on the planes and act as hosts are fun, dedicated and incredibly knowledgeable. The awesome thing is, all of the planes are or will be flyable! They are busy building/rebuilding a B-17 from old parts and parts they are making there using Boeing specs and diagrams. We really enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful grassroots museum at an historic airfield. Restoration (actually a wholesale rebuild) of the B-17 is a project of profound importance for the community. Stop by and ask for stories!

I have so much respect for these people and their mission. They are all willing to talk to you about their projects and the history they work so hard to preserve. If you want a history lesson that will warn your heart spend a little time listening to the ladies that flew our planes . Good representation of what a true patriot should be..

Really great museum with a surprisingly significant aircraft collection to include a B-17 under construction, a D-Day veteran C-47, C-1A Trader, and B-25J. Their staff and volunteers are very friendly, and share a wealth of life and wartime experience. If you time your visit right and give them your time, you can work on their B-17 project. If you're nearby, please stop by!

Very awesome museum! It's an active restoration hangar, you can walk right up to the planes and speak with the staff. Definitely worth a visit! And it's free to enter!

Lots to see and learn at the museum. Seeing a B-17 being restored before your eyes is awesome. The volunteers are very friendly and willing to share about the displayed aircraft and the restoration process.

I never miss an air museum, but this is one of THE BEST if you're into the B17 Flying Fortress. This museum lets you get right next to the restoration work. The volunteers and staff treat the visitors as special guests and always stop to show you something, answer questions and talk history and restoration. I have never been in another restoration shop, where they give you as much access and are as friendly as they are at this museum. You can feel their appreciation and respect for those who flew and supported the air war in WW2 and they are happy to share their knowledge with you. They have won me over, and I've gone from making occasional stops when I was already in the area to planning trips just to see their progress on their B17 and talk to their team. Do not miss this museum!

Very nice gem to find while out riding. Bright and clean. Nice displays. Nice to see them working on parts of planes. Watching planes take off and land was a nice added benefit.

This is a small air museum not known to a lot of people. But if you have an interest in World War ii, Aviation engineering, or history this is a place to go. Make sure you stop and ask for Pat he has a world of knowledge and stories the people there are excellent and very knowledgeable and helpful truly a joy and I've been to a lot of air museums

Stopped in because my son loves museums and airplanes, and we had some time to kill in the area. What a hidden gem! The volunteers were welcoming, friendly and very willing to explain all aspects of their work. Very interesting seeing the restoration work in progress. Admission was free but we donated generously to support their work.

They're restoring a B-17 to flying condition. If you're into WWII history, I highly recommend it. Staff are all volunteers and are very friendly and will answer any questions you have.
