La Lomita exceeded our expectations for a quiet romantic getaway in wine country! We stayed midweek for two nights and almost had the ranch to ourselves in the afternoon. We enjoyed walking around the property, feeding carrots to the horses after dinner, and watching the emus & hummingbirds. Our room was #100 and had several mirrors that would be nice for preparing for a wedding. Wonderful view of the pond. Klimt art on the walls. Very quiet and private. The grounds are meticulous - one broken stair tile I noticed (to myself) was replaced by evening. The people who live and work on the property are amazing. The owner, Becca and friend Tracy, cooked us a fine breakfast each morning - both brilliant people. Also - their Albariño was one of our favorite white wine in the four vineyards we visited. Thank you Victor for helping us check in. We wish we had asked Becca to arrange a regional wine tasting.

My wife and I attended the wedding of my nephew and had the privilege of staying the night in one of La Lomita's room. Upon arriving at the Ranch we were met by Darlene and were escorted to the parking lot and then to our room. It really exceeded my expectations in that they were beautifully decorated in a Spanish Ranch style motif. There were two rooms, the bedroom and a large the bathroom. Everything we needed was there including a nice welcome basket. The surrounding areas were beautiful and well maintained. It definitely a great place to have a wedding and a great place to stay overnight after the reception. In the guests were treated to a nice breakfast prepared by Darlene. At breakfast I learned from Darlene that La Lomita operates as a wedding venue on weekends and as a bed and breakfast during the week. Even though we only stayed one night, I would definitely recommend La Lomita Ranch for a place to stay to just relax and to use as base to explore the San Luis Obispo area. Thank La Lomita for a great experience.

This place is simply amazing! I travel extensively for work and have stayed in some fantastic international properties. La Lomita is by far none, the best I’ve ever stayed in. It has a small quaint feeling. The rooms are incredibly luxurious. The bed sheets are so comfortable that I did not want to get out of bed in the morning! My bath towels were better than any 5-star hotel. The breakfast was a simply European breakfast with fresh pressed coffee! The honey served each morning is from the La Lomita beehives and the jam is from the berry vines harvested on site. Each sunrise and sunset were beautiful! The only part of my trip that I regretted was leaving! Thank you for making this retreat so awesome and relaxing!

Our stay at La Lomita Ranch was exceptional. The staff was amazing, going above and beyond with everything. Darlene was so very kind, helpful with tips for restaurants downtown, and made the most incredible breakfast. Rooms were unique and clean. The property was exceedingly beautiful to wake up to. Our stay at La Lomita was excellent! My husband and I were looking for a getaway for our anniversary and found this gem. It's a beautiful place for a retreat and it's not far from the city or the wineries. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We also tried their wine which we enjoyed very much. The view is amazing with an overview of a pond (ducks included) and beautiful hills. We cannot wait to go back again. We highly recommend this for couples who need to get away from the busy every day routine.

Beautiful place! This place is different, there is a winery, barn, fireplace, and many other stunning features in this ranch that you can enjoy. Darlene was a darling, she showed us everything, made us breakfast with love every day, and guided us where to go in SLO. We will come back for sure. The only thing was that their drinking water did not taste good. You may need to get yourself some water bottle.

I had an amazing stay at Loma Lita Ranch. It is a beautiful property with lots of things to see, including different animals. Darlene was great and very helpful during our stay. She makes a great breakfast, and we had nice conversations during our stay.

Our stay at La Lomita Ranch was a perfect retreat! The room was spacious, exceptionally clean and just lovely. The bath linens and bedding were high quality, soft and luxurious. For us, the location was ideal. The ranch itself is remote enough to provide a peaceful retreat, while being 15 minutes from great hiking, beaches and the towns of Avila Beach, Pismo Beach, and the city of SLO... and 1/2 hour from Paso Robles, Montana de Oro, Morro Bay, etc. We went to amazing restaurants, hiked some of the best trails and saw beautiful beaches -- all very accessible from La Lomita. What really made the experience so special was the service -- everyone was friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating, without pretentiousness or intrusiveness. The breakfast service was wonderful -- as are Darlene's frittatas! We will most certainly stay with La Lomita Ranch in the future!

La Lomita Ranch is now my favorite place I have ever stayed at. Besides being stunning, having the horses and the kitties to pet was so relaxing and a nice surprise. Darlene and her husband were amazing. We felt very welcomed by them and the breakfast Darlene would make were so good! I had been traveling for about 1.5 weeks and those homecooked breakfasts were so comforting and tasty! The place is kept very clean and the availability of the lounge is a great perk. I was very relaxed during my stay and looked forward to walking around in the morning and feeding the horses carrots. It's also in a great location not far from downtown SLO or Pismo/Shell Beach. I would recomend this place to anyone.

Everything about this place was outstanding including the incredible staff. Darlene was such an incredible hostess and made this wonderful place that much more incredible. From the time we arrived until our departure I honestly can’t think of one moment that wasn’t first class. Love this place and the wonderful staff and breakfasts

Just outside of town, this place is an absolute delight…Cows, emus, chickens, retired horses and barn kitties! It’s surrounded by rolling hills. The rooms are done with beautiful rancho-style finishes. Breakfast was served each morning with a variety of choices for all. We just loved our stay with a warm greeting each morning from Darlene and her deliciously brewed coffee. We will 100% be back to SLO just to stay here. It was a perfect getaway.

Stayed for a wedding and had an amazing experience! My girlfriend and I really enjoyed exploring the property, from the stables to the vineyard, it’s all so picturesque. The rooms are adorable converted stables, which is so unique. The hospitality is incredible, everyone was so kind and there’s complimentary breakfast that’s delightful! La Lomita is close to downtown SLO, making it the perfect getaway. We would love to go again!

Amazing! The grounds were so beautiful and the breakfast was phenomenal every morning. Super peaceful and relaxing, but also close enough to downtown to easily get an uber. Would definitely come back!

My Fiancé and I stayed at the ranch in October for a wedding and it was such a charming property. The rooms were unique to one another and I loved that every morning we had breakfast made for us by the property manager, it was delicious! The weather was perfect and going for a walk around the property was an interactive experience and you were always accompanied by one of their adorable barn cats! I highly recommend staying at La Lomita, it was such a memorable experience!

Perfect stay in every regard! We were most amazed by the attention to detail in the rooms and across the property, everything from the spanish aesthetic to the delicious complimentary breakfast! It captures both the cozy romantic feel with the ranch escape that makes it feel far out even though it was not far from town, which was nice. Highly recommend!

😐 First I want to say that this was the most reasonable priced resort for a three day weekend. We have a nice pull through spot paid 100.00 a night. The discrimination says picnic table. We did not bring our folding table. Well guess what...no tables are available. The park is in the process of replac...
