Superior service from a kind and helpful staff. Dispatcher Maxine kept in close contact when I needed support. Field service by Kim was quick, efficient and thorough -- she really knows her stuff! These people are considerate and experienced. I 100% recommend this firm to you. I will use them again when I have any car troubles.

I hate shady mechanics. I prefer to do my own work because of this. I replaced my own clutch but it wouldn’t start. I had my vehicle towed to McNeil’s hoping to find an honest and skilled local mechanic. I have already ruled out Tunex and Fix Auto. McNeil’s showed professionalism in communication and expertise. They found a slightly bent shaft inside the transmission that I couldn’t. It was cheap to fix because of this. They were honest and accurate and quick than promised.

I was so pleasantly surprised at the service at McNeil’s. It’s that old school service you don’t see anymore that goes the extra mile to make sure you’re taken care of. Because I only had the one car that was being serviced, they ordered a Lyft for me to and from my house so I could still work from home. Incredibly friendly staff (Manny and John are my favorite) with fair pricing. Will never go anywhere else! Thanks for taking such good care of us!

I would really like to thank Mike! We called AAA and another individual came out first and assessed our 5+ year old battery. The first gentleman hooked the battery up to a portable charger and the car didn't start. We were told the battery was fine and needed a tow and repair, being a possible starter issue. Mike came to tow the car and rechecked the battery, hooking it to a charger, to find it was fine and got the car started immediately. He showed us the test results of the battery examination and reviewed all the data in a manner we could understand. We did not need a tow and he said the battery would be fine with a good charge. We opted to replace it as it was the original battery just to be on the safe side. Mike didn't try to sell us something we didn't need, but agreed our choice wasn't a bad idea. He was thoroughly professional, honest, and adept. I can't thank him enough and if he is an indication of professionalism of McNeil's we are probably going to change mechanics. I can't sing Mike's praises enough!

Great service, reasonable prices. One of the biggest things that impressed me is the use of technology. Before getting the call about the diagnostic I received a text message to a web site that gave me a broken down list of everything that needs repairs along with notes, recommendations, and even pictures and videos. Once the repair was completed I was even able to pay for the repair online before picking up my vehicle. All that pared with friendly staff made for a great experience

If you like being treated fare and taken care of this is the place for you! Manny Lopez is always awesome at getting you in and working with you. The technicians do a great job and they warranty their work and I mean they stick by what they say when it comes to the warranty!! These guys are honest and up front about what they find and do a complete inspection of your vehicle prior to service and provide pictures of everything too. Great value for the money and excellent service as always!!

Service here is great, and so quick! They provide honest work, and they are the only place I take my vehicle for repairs. Highly recommend! Also I love their communication, they send you a link and you can see what they are working on, their recommendations, they provide pictures of everything. I had a couple of reliable mechanics, but since Covid forced them out of business, I had been looking for a new one. I'd gone past McNeil's several times, so I took my car in there. I was especially impressed with Manny and their operation as a whole. They did several repairs and the cost was reasonable. I will definitely use them again and refer their business to friends and family.

Very pleased with the thorough and detailed inspection of my aging Honda Element. The online report included photos of needed repairs and potential issues. My experience at McNeil’s Auto Care is it’s the best service I’ve ever had working with an automotive shop. The manager took time to review with me the recommended maintenance. I look forward to taking my vehicles to them in the future.

This place is awesome, they care about you and getting your vehicle in excellent running condition for the road. They are fast and friendly and great on keeping me informed of updates on the repairs. They are also fair priced. Highly recommended.

Had work with Riverton, and the Sandy location last Fall, both were attentive to my needs, I needed some work done in the Fall and the rest done recently. The workers were friendly, listened to my concerns and had my car finished on time and the price seemed fair. Highly recommend!

We love having McNeil's work on our cars. They've always given us a fair quote. They do let us know if other things need attention, but don't push us into extras. We appreciate how they keep in touch with us during the maintenance/repair process.

The people who work here are very kind and trustworthy! They worked diligently to figure out what was wrong with my car when every other place I frantically called said they wouldn’t be able to look at it for weeks. They were able to get the car in for service quickly. They had to replace the alternator, but they had to order the part first. They received the the part super fast. I was allowed to have a loaner car, and they were able to complete the job by the end of the day. John and Manny were very courteous and knowledgeable, and kept me informed of all that was needed and gave very accurate estimates on time! McNeils Auto is a great place for all auto care!

McNeils is fantastic. Only issue is they’re crazy busy so you have to schedule them out aways. Quality service and overall experience. I appreciate their expertise and they clearly respect their customers by being transparent and logical in their recommended repairs and timing of maintenance work.

I had called Denny's Auto, on Redwood, first (no reason I called Denny's first, other than I was just looking for a shop) to see if I could schedule my daughter's car to have a timing belt change (I'm out of state). I was told she would have to have them look at it before getting an estimate and before scheduling the work. I argued that this is maintenance (like and oil change) and they shouldn't need to see it first. He was still insistent on seeing it first (idiot). So I called McNeil's. I was given an estimate and scheduled the maintenance over the phone. They had her car done the same day of the appointment. They were great to work with.

Great work by the team, just a standard oil change and a yearly checkup but they do great work. I especially appreciate the report, they take pictures and have clear results and measurements. Took a bit longer than expected, but that's okay. I had some questions about my brakes and they were able to inspect it and give clear answers. I would recommend to others!! Edit 5/3/2023 - took in in again in 2023, again they did great work, this time no delays, and we even squeezed in a tire rotation. Again, I love the report, and how the data is saved from year to year. proper paperwork that is user-friendly is rare, and McNeil's is nailing it.

Technician was very helpful and as a woman I am always unsure if the mechanic is going to give me an honest opinion and not try to over charge me because I I don’t understand how a car works. I felt he was honest and helped me get the best and safest option for the best price I will definitely visit them again

Called to find out about an estimate with a specific code for my vehicle. The man in the office wouldn’t give me the hourly rate or an estimate. Had my dad call & he was given all the info & estimate immediately. I called back to say I was bringing my car in and they told me to “bring it on down”. When I arrived the same man in the office said they wouldn’t be able to start until next week (it was Wednesday). Needless to say I found a different shop a mile down the road that handled the situation with incredible professionalism and kindness. Would never ever recommend McNeil’s based on this female discrimination & mansplaining.

They said my car would take 5 hours and it turned into 5days and they only reached out to me 2 times the whole time. I had to get in-between my writer and my warranty co. in order to get them to talk to each other which was childish. My windows and my AC work like new but I had to improvise a lot long than planned and just to get charged $139 for hour work on a 10min job and nowhere was the labor fee posted and no prices for anything is shown to the public to verify their honesty.

McNeil's has a great communication method using reports for vehicle inspections. It is great to get a detailed report with recommendations and cost to make a decision on repairs. Their work is great and their scheduling is easy to work with. 5 stars

Great experience at McNeils. Manny is great at explaining the problems that needed fixing. Despite the shop being very busy I feel like I was taken care of in a fair and timely manner. I felt like the diagnosis of the problem was efficient and accurate and the fix has proved to have taken care of the previous problems on my Ford Truck. I'll continue to use them for all my auto repair needs!

I'm so grateful they were able to help me out! I was able to use their loaner car while they fixed my car and it ended up being a fantastic fix. My car was squeaking and now she's driving normal again. I appreciate the effort they took to help me and make sure I had a good experience.
