Definitely one of the best museums I've been to. Down in Colorado we pay $30 per person on tickets for museums HALF the size of this one! Bring your kids, they'll love it!

It was so much fun! Lots of cool artifacts and history! The trolley ride was also super fun and had great stories! We loved our experience here!

Our family loved this museum. Don't miss the military exhibit on the third floor which has some very unique items, or the white buffalo on the second floor.

This is a must-stop for visitors to Helena, and locals should check in regularly, too. I used to love going in here as a kid and the museum helped spark a lifelong passion for art and history. So... Take your kids! As an adult, I appreciate the wonderfully diverse exhibits on a deeper level. So... Take yourself, grownups!

Got there about an hour before closing and the gentleman at the entrance desk was kind enough to let us take a quick tour of the museum and gallery with no entrance fee. Was great to learn about Montana history dating back from the dinosaurs to the mid-20th century. Also really enjoyed the idealized paintings of Charles Russell.

I wasn't sure what to expect- in Montana, you never know what might be considered a museum! But there is lots of information about Native culture, the mining rush, how agriculture developed and also how women's roles in Montana were very different historically from the east and west coast. Tickets are only $5 and if you ride Last Chance Train Tour, you get a BOGO coupon for admission. And while I was there, they had a very interesting exhibit on Beer!

For a small museum there was a lot to take in. Well organized. Well presented. A lot of local history. Well worth it
