I
felt
bad
the
first
day
for
my
niece
could
not
walk
and
the
other
carriage
companies
were
so
rude
to
my
niece.
My
nieces
with
limited
life
experience
have
never
done
a
carriage
ride
and
they
were
super
excited
to
go!
My
niece
was
in
a
boot.
My
family
came
to
visit
us
from
out
of
state.
The
competing
carriage
companies
did
not
try
to
assist
at
all.
They
could
have
called
somewhere
else
instead
they
literally
told
my
mom
who
works
for
the
City
of
Charleston
and
my
nieces
the
day
before
Thanksgiving
to
walk
to
the
next
carriage.
We
haven’t
seen
each
other
in
over
a
year.
They
expected
my
8
year
old
niece
to
walk
in
a
boot
to
another
company.
My
niece
is
a
tough
cookie
but
I
cannot
expect
her
to
do
that
much
walking
downtown
in
a
boot.
I
just
find
it
appalling
the
service
that
I
can
receive
from
some
people.
Conversely,
I
had
the
pleasure
of
riding
with
my
wife
and
nieces
on
Thanksgiving.
We
gave
some
other
carriage
companies
a
chance.
Mr.
Patrick
was
our
guide
and
Roger
was
our
horse.
Mr.
Patrick
was
a
phenomenal
tour
guide!
Mr.
Patrick
almost
inspired
me
want
to
do
give
tours
myself!
Patrick
was
very
knowledgeable
and
entertaining
the
entire
time.
Mr.
Patrick
tactfully
eloquently
explained
the
procedures
that
govern
the
carriage
system
interlaced
with
his
sense
of
humor.
I
was
most
impressed
with
the
tactful
way
that
Patrick
spoke
about
Blacks,
Slaves,
and
Gullah
culture.
Also,
I’ve
lived
here
for
10
years
and
Mr.
Patrick
has
an
EXCELLENT
impression
of
Gullah.
I
don’t
want
to
call
it
an
impression
because
I
do
not
want
to
insult/offend
the
culture.
I
believe
Mr.
Patrick
was
expressing
a
culture
and
history
in
his
own
words.
Mr.
Patrick
spoke
about
it
in
a
way
that
made
Gullah
enticing
instead
of
making
it
sound
condescending.
Mr.
Patrick
was
knowledgeable
about
the
church
history
as
well
as
the
plant
life
as
well
as
the
architecture.
The
best
way
I
can
describe
how
the
tour
felt
was
like
I
was
hanging
out
on
a
carriage
ride
with
an
engaging
history
teacher.
Like
I’m
having
fun
and
I’m
learning
but
I’m
supervised.
That
is
exactly
how
a
tour
should
feel.
Sadly,
my
nieces
did
not
appreciate
the
history
as
I
did
😂
but
they
appreciated
the
horses.
Mr.
Patrick
did
try
to
get
engagement
by
asking
question
but
the
fish
were
not
biting.
I
felt
like
Hermione
Granger
on
the
carriage
with
a
bunch
of
dementors.
😂
I
just
assume
everyone
is
not
a
mid-morning
person.
Shout
out
to
Roger
the
horse,
a
fine
horse.
He
deserves
horsey
of
the
month.
Roger
pulled
out
weight
on
Thanksgiving!
Someone
please
give
Roger
the
horse
some
belly
rubs
as
well.
Also
I
appreciated
the
fact
that
Mr.
Patrick
took
the
time
to
speak
about
how
the
horses
were
not
abused
and
how
they
come
from
the
Amish
and
they
are
used
to
carry
plows.
I
never
witnessed
Mr.
Patrick
was
never
abusive
towards
Roger
the
horse.
I
can
tell
that
they
have
a
great
working
relationship.
Like
brothers
from
another
mother.
Also,
sad
that
Patrick
will
be
leaving,
I
would
have
enjoyed
getting
another
tour
from
him
from
a
different
part
of
the
city.
It’s
always
the
amazing
workers
that
understand
their
worth
and
they
move
elsewhere.
Kudos
to
Mr.
Patrick
wishing
you
success
in
your
future
endeavors!
Thank
you
for
being
awesome
on
Thanksgiving!
I
hope
that
you
and
Roger
the
horse
were
well
fed
yesterday.
