Great experience. I really enjoyed my time at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and the owner came by and talked with us. He seemed to be a really nice guy. The place is decorated really well and the food was excellent. This is a must for all to try. We really enjoyed it.

Great place, they let you taste the food before you order. Tough to decide all was good! If you are close to Prattville a must try.

Best restaurant experience in the USA!!! I got here on 2:30. 30 minutes after it's already been closed, however, the owner was still in the place. I asked if he could still give me something to eat, since I'd come from far, and he gave me so much amazing food to try, and then the best pecan pie ever!!! Thank you so much for this wonderful and affordable food. Thanks for the great chat! It was an honor! Most definitely the most deserved 5 stars ever!

The best gumbo I have ever eaten. The staff here s great and uncle Mick is great. Clean place and nice restaurant. Talking to him right now. Great part of town. Get in grab your food and head next door for a beer. Busy but they have enough. I will be back.

In the Montgomery, AL area for some training. Ate here for lunch. Great little spot, awesome decor and incredible Cajun food. Service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere close.

Food was great, service was awesome! Make sure you get a slice of buttermilk pie! Didn't get pics of the food because I scarfed it down too fast and forgot!

First time customer here...this place was fantastic! The food was incredible! The large variety of options did not diminish the taste in ANY way. Each option I had(which was a few, the charming owner and staff let us try a lot of different things)tasted like it had been slow cooked for hours. Not only the food but the ambiance was so inviting and well put together. And the art was to die for. Every detail is on point: from the front entrance, to the decor, to the delicious food, and awesome people who work there.

Hands down, one of my most favorite restaurants. Not only for the amazing food and that my husband has some Cajun blood in him, but going there just makes you feel good. They always greet you with a smile and make you feel truly welcomed and that you're important to them. I've never gone without being happy I went there and loved my meal!

All of the employees were friendly and helpful, even offering me a sample of the shrimp a la creme before I ordered (sooo delicious) This was my first time visiting Uncle Mick's, so I stuck to a small split plate - and the chicken & sausage gumbo was divine! There was, maybe, a tablespoon of roux left once I finished. The atmosphere, down to the bathroom decor, truly makes you feel like it's a special place On top of the attentive employees, Uncle Mick himself stopped by our table to check on us and make sure we enjoyed our meal -- If it's your first time, definitely take a look at the menu beforehand - Adventurous eaters might want a little bit of everything. I'd love to try alligator, the crawfish etoufee - let's just say we'll be back soon!

The food was amazing! I got the red beans and sausage with dirty rice. For my sides, I got tomatoes and feta and pinto beans. It was all delicious. The service was awesome as well. I definitely recommend.

Fantastic food! First question when we walked in: "have y'all been here before?" "No? Great, here try everything and then pick what you want!". Everything was delicious, I'll definitely be eating here again next time I'm in town.

Different than I imagined but still fantastic. No table service more of a cafeteria style service but not cafeteria food at all .The owner mick was the one serving us. We sampled 5 or 6 different things before deciding on what we wanted to eat . All of the things we tried we great . I decided on the crab etouffee and shrimp de creme . Both are served over rice you can choose dirty rice or white rice. Also had the bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Very good . Lot of raisins on it though. I would definitely go back here again if in the area

Great food all around. Menu selections are very unique. I definitely recommend a small plate to get 2.5 portions of an entree and then two sides. The food tastes amazing. I got the Chicken and Sausage Piquante. Wonderful flavor and all around great meal to have during lunch. Much preferred over fast food options. Be sure to watch the time as they are closed between 2pm and 5pm.

I travel the country and this is one of my favorite spots. Family owned and operated, you will feel genuinely welcome from the moment you walk in the door. The food never disappoints. Most Cajun places skimp on the protein in their dishes, not here. Everything is perfectly spiced, hot enough that you know you're eating Cajun food but not so hot that it can't be enjoyed. And the sign of a great restaurant is when their sides are just as good as the entrees. You will leave here STUFFED.

The gumbo is fabulous, there are so many great choices to indulge in. Not a bad choice to be had. The staff is so friendly & the owner is very personable. This is locally owed. A must stop.

Very pleasant surprise. This is food done right. Shrimp al a creme, chicken/sausage gumbo, dirty rice, green beans, red beans, black-eyed peas, deviled eggs. EVERYTHING on the menu is good. Not a bad decision. My wife got the shrimp creole and I was jealous - it is some of the best I've ever tasted. Cemented on our map as a must stop every time we go to the coast.

Enjoyed the food and the people. My family is unfamiliar with "Cajun Cook'n" so didn't know what to expect. The person serving the food took the time to explain the options and then offered samples for us to try. The portions were enough to fill me up and we even took some to go. While we were eating, Uncle Mick came by to check on everyone and get to know the patrons. Like many of our friends, we will make this place part of our dining rotation.

I love this place and food is great, the front line lady who takes order is super nice, friendly and enthusiasm; the owner(maybe) asked your opinion for the food which is also very kind. Although nobody asks if you want to pack to go or dine in, when they put in the dish it’s too late to pack them, so remember to ask that in advance. Nobody is wearing masks in the room and it’s very crowded, I guess it's hard to follow COVID rules in such as small place. Not sure if everyone get vaccinated but social distance is still matter.

I was here for a special event so it was closed to public but the event was great, good was awesome, the staff were polite and courteous and I look forward to visiting again under normal circumstances.

I came in for dinner and the kids at the front serving have amazing service ! It was two girls and a boy ! Whoever they were , I hope they got part of the tip I left , they deserve them ! They were very polite , and tried their best to make sure I was happy with what I got . Sadly, The portions on the plate are tiny , and just for a little more food on the side cost about 3$ to come in a little side dish . The treys are wiped with a rag and paper placed on top which is not very sanitary . Very good table service , and communication service , they work hard . Bread pudding is amazing ! Some of the food could use a little more salt . Whoever the cook is , definitely needs a raise , she does a amazing job ! I saw a mouse run towards the trash can… I’m just joking ! I love this place and will definitely be back ! But it is pricey ! I do have a couple questions though . Do the kids get to split the tip because there was a lot of money in that jar ! That told me all I needed to know when I walked in , I knew it would be good service !? Do you guys sanitize the treys ? Or just use the rag and the bottle ? Will you ever put vegan foods on the menu ?

The atmosphere was pleasant, clean, and well lit. We ordered at a serving window. The servers were friendly and helpful. The 4 of us enjoyed our meal but all commented on the smaller than expected portion size. It was my first "cajun" experience. All the dishes were tasty but the andouille flavor was even in unexpected places. I would have liked it more if all the dishes didn't have the same heat of flavor. There was no contrast. It may have been my choices. I'm somewhat limited by being gluten free. Uncle Mick's has an adequate gluten free menu. I did enjoy my meal.

Most amazing experience in Cajun food I've had since I was in Baton Rouge Louisiana, and New Orleans. (❣️Simply put ❣️"FREAKING WOW"❣️) These folks know how to cook up and serve the most authentic The Finest Cajun food you will ever taste outside of Louisiana. The Shrimp and grave is amazing, but so is the Crawdad stew with grave. And for you first timers in the door, Don't forget to ask about taste testing anything on your first visit. THAT'S RIGHT, ON YOUR FIRST VISIT YOU WILL GET TO TASTE TEST ANYTHING BEHIND THE COUNTER❣️, SO YOU CAN DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT FOR LUNCH ON YOUR FIRST VISIT❣️ "ENJOY YOURSELF" I KNOW YOU WILL... IT'S THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN TOWN ❣️ And the atmosphere is awesome too, because as you are enjoying your food you will never stop looking around at all of the antique fishing gear, amazing pictures of Uncle Mick's early days on the fishing boats and the places he traveled to. So stop by and take in a amazing meal along with the awesome atmosphere.

Seriously such a charming place! The food was great. The servers were all extremely courteous. They asked us where we were from and we told them we were military that just moved here, so they gave us free ice cream. Very nice and will be back! I got the chicken and dumplings and shrimp creole - delicious!
