The new owners have completely ruined this establishment. This used to be our go to place for for parties. Since they sold everything has gone downhill. The new employees are rude, and the food quality has noticeably decreased. We called and ordered food for 14. When the food showed up we started asking questions when the driver continued to bring in food. They charged us almost $600. This was not communicated to us at any point. When we called to ask why they charged so much and sent so much food they replied with “we see that you said you only had 14 coming but we only make platters for 30.” The new manager then fought with us endlessly on the phone taking none of the blame. Attached is a photo of the remaining food after the entire party of 14 ate. Still enough food for another 20 people. Used to recommend this place to everyone. Now I recommend everyone stays as far away from this place as possible… unless of course you want to be taken advantage of.

My first experience was today for takeout, and Kohns has the best pastrami I’ve ever tasted. Kosher size killer pastrami is all you need to get the warm fuzzies of a loving meat snuggle 🤗

Not only do they have really good ingredients and really good portions, but also the staff is phenomenal! One day the owner Lenny let me come in to get a sandwich after they were already closed because I must have looked famished.. Don't miss out on this place!

Im not Jewish but have always loved kosher food. Born and raised in long Island NY, I'd always eat at Hebrew national restaurants. Once moving to STL, i was delighted to find Kohn's. Once you make eye contact with the owner, you get special attention, he will force feed you for free, you have to say, No more. Im so sad the owners are selling but wish them well.

It's hard not to love Kohn's. The people are some of the friendliest lot I've come across. The warmth radiates in the entire restaurant. Two gentlemen particularly stood out for us. One is from Jerusalem and I forget his name and the other guy is Nasir (hope I got your spelling right) are just wonderful. They not only gave us meat to taste, but packed us extra when we got some to take home. Super nice gesture that you don't get to see often. We had the beef pastrami that was just the right seasoning and sauce. It was not too hot, not too cold. The coleslaw tasted delicious as well. We had some brisket to take home and that was mind blowing. We replicated the same sandwich back home because that's how impressed we were with the food. We'd definitely come back when we crave some of the beef pastrami and brisket. Absolutely yum! Thank you guys! Me and my husband loved the warmth and kindness.

Ever since the new owners took over the last KOSHER DELI ON this side of the MISSISSIPPI . Went from a family owned and operated establishment to a group of errigant jerks that care less about their customers. The prices are threw the roof SKY HIGH. This is not necessary to charge $9.09 dollars for one fried chicken breast. You don't feel welcome, the piece was cold and the person behind the counter didn't even know if the piece was a breast or not. She had to ask another worker. The management don't treat their dedicated customers with dignity God forbid if you have a complaint your asked not to come back. The food is seemed too old to be sold. I recommend other places to get your kosher meat where you get better cut meat and you don't have to wait a hour it feels like before your served. It's sad how TERRIBLE Simon kohns went from a family oriented Deli to a place that needs to be reported to the BBB OR other places to get it shut down. Great workers that were dedicated to their craft at kohn's I heard were fired. This restaurant should be inspected by the vaad or health inspectors to make sure cooked food is not kept unsold under lights past the recommended time limit. The piece of chicken I ate was cold, dry and made my stomach feel sick. But when I tried to complain about the price I was asked to leave before paying . I was banned to never return. This place doesn't deserve even a 1 star. It deserves a no STAR RATING and shut the doors forever.

Very impressed! I went here for the first time today with two of my friends for lunch. I have always wanted to try it. We walked up to the deli counter to order sandwiches and the man behind the counter welcomed us with some pastrami to try. It was fantastic! We all ordered the pastrami sandwich on rye, a corn beef to share, potato salad and coleslaw to share. The man took our orders with a welcoming cheer. We sat down and the meals were brought to us at the table. The atmosphere and vibe in the deli was welcoming and cheerful. The employees treated us like family and were very welcoming, kind, and also joked around with us. They were accommodating and exemplified the outmost customer service and friendliness while we were eating the delicious foods. We tried a few of the deserts which were delicious! I would highly recommend this deli. They treat you like family and have excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere to all. I will comeback again!

I was originally going to give this place 4 stars because figuring out the logistics of ordering isn't intuitive, but the food is so delish I decided to overlook the initial hurdle. Long story short, head to the butcher counter to order dine in, have a seat, then pay after you eat at the grocery checkout. Or safe yourself some time and call in for pick up. Anyway, this is really about the food. The killer pastrami is just that - killer! I had potato salad on the side and was glad I did. Also tried the everything bagel with eggs and lox. IMO, this is the BEST bagel you'll find in St. Louis!

I've never been a fan of pastrami, until I tried the Killer Pastrami at Kohn's. The atmosphere walking in is welcoming. They have a huge kosher deli and bakery with most everything made in house. Definitely feels like one of the famous Jewish bakeries you'd find in NYC. I hope the new owners keep all their traditions and recipes alive and well. Even if you aren't crazy about pastrami, give the kill pastrami a try, you're certain to be pleasantly surprised.

A little strange in that I got a text saying my order was ready. Then when I got there they hadn't even started to make it. Anyway was not in a rush and enjoyed it very much. Very nice friendly people

Driven by dozens if not hundreds of times. Rather unassuming from outside and thought I'd give it a try. As I'm from east coast I miss and love deli sandwich and now this is one of my favorite sandwich spots. Lots of selections but chose the pastrami on rye with everything. Not overwhelming with toppings but enough to definitely enhance the meat. Rye wasn't overly fancy and honestly this sandwich is what I've been searching for. Simple east coast deli style sandwich

We used to live in St. Louis and have missed Kohn's Corned Beef sandwiches so much!!! I am so happy to have visited and had an amazing sandwich. If you haven't tried a corned beef sandwich from Kohn's you need to go right now and try one. They are absolutely the best! I can't wait to come back again to St. Louis just got one of these sandwiches.

My family and I went to Kohn’s Kosher Deli and we had delicious pastrami and brisket sandwiches, cookies, cannolis, and upside down cupcakes. The staff were very kind and treated us like family. I highly recommend trying their food and bakery items.

I recently visited Kohn's Kosher Meat and Deli Restaurant and I have to say, it was an absolutely amazing experience! The staff there were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. And the food! Oh my goodness, it was out of this world! The kosher meat was cooked to perfection and the deli sandwiches were simply divine. But what really impressed me was the fact that they had kosher milk, which is quite rare in St. Louis Missouri. Overall, I had an incredible time at Kohn's and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious, authentic kosher cuisine. I can't wait to go back! I would not buy property there without this place!

Great Jewish deli. We had the pastrami on rye sandwich. Very good flavors. Cole slaw and potato salad for the sides were also very good. This is a great little store serving the Kosher community and those wanting great breads and pastries. They have other grocery items as well.

Phenomenal place. Love Lenny and Rosemary. I got the killer pastrami sandwich and it was a ten. Highly recommend Kohns to any and everyone

Our experience was so delightful and delicious that I asked if there might be an apartment to rent upstairs. The bagels, lox and eggs, the pastrami, and coffee are better than my delicious memories of NYC. Even more delicious than the food are the courteous, playful personalities of everyone, everyone we encountered. Kohn's is on our permanent "must-stop" list for our St. Louis visits.

Want to go back in time to a fantastic New York City deli in Manhattan?? This is it! Incredible food, excellent culture, but you have to have some thick skin to figure out where/what to order! Phenomenal lunch spot; I frequent Kohn's weekly!

Travelling through this area from Texas. We stopped for the "experience " of a genuine kosher deli...and we weren't disappointed! We both had the Killer Pastrami and it was great. Another customer (originally from NY) said this was her father's favorite pastrami. We also tried a few pastries and bought a bag of "day-old" bagels. Everything we tried was delicious and the people were friendly and informative. I noticed they were calling their regular customers by first name. Highly recommend.

Happened to be in the area killing time and looking for lunch. Drove by and noticed this deli and decided to try something new. They seemed very busy behind the counter, so there was a bit of a wait, but the service was outstanding when it was finally our turn. We both had the pastrami and it was fantastic and I had plenty to take home with me for lunch tomorrow. We will definitely be back!

Lisa and everyone at Kohn's provide such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere! The food and bakery items are delicious and still reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

For now this is the best and frankly only real kosher deli left in St Louis county. A classic since the 60's. Sam is your man and make sure to Kosher size that pastrami on rye!

Excellent meats. Nice little grocery area off to the side. Perhaps the friendliest staff I've seen at a restaurant. Doesn't get much better than that! (P. S. It's pay after you eat, which is nice.)
