My
friends
and
I
took
our
annual
golf
road
trip
and
decided
to
play
here
opening
weekend
2022.
It
was
cold
(33
degrees)
and
it
was
crazy
windy
(20-35mph),
but
it
was
one
of
the
most
enjoyable
rounds
of
golf
I've
ever
played.
We
got
there
early
to
take
in
the
experience,
and
am
I
very
glad
we
did.
As
we
walked
in
we
were
greeted
by
the
course
superintendent,
who
gave
us
a
quick
rundown
of
the
course
and
the
recent
upgrades
they
have
made.
Every
single
person
we
talked
to,
from
the
pro
shop,
to
the
lounge,
to
the
starter
was
pleasant
and
seemed
genuinely
glad
to
have
us
there.
The
course
was
obviously
not
in
peak
condition
as
it
was
early
season.
Carts
were
paths
only,
which
at
times
was
a
hinderance
by
getting
all
the
way
across
the
hole,
realizing
I
had
the
wrong
club.
The
greens
were
slower
than
anticipated,
but
again
this
is
100%
due
to
early
season
conditions.
The
layout
of
the
course
is
very
enjoyable
and
has
some
amazingly
scenic
views
of
the
Rock
River.
My
friends
and
I
have
already
started
planning
the
1100
mile
round
trip
back
for
later
in
the
season.
It
could
not
have
been
a
more
enjoyable
experience.
