So I went here the other night to have a few drinks before all the bars closed. I’ve been here before and loved the environment, but this time was absolutely terrible. The bartender that was working on a Saturday including the rest of her team were the most rude, disrespectful, and unwelcoming team I have ever met. The bartender was an older skinnier lady with a fake flower in her hair. She made backhanded comments while our group was trying to order drinks. We were nothing but respectful throughout the whole night she constantly made us feel like we were bothering her when all we were doing was ordering drinks. Every time we ordered she would make sly remarks that were backhanded and just straight up rude. As for her team, they were very aggressive and power hungry. I think this whole group of workers just genuinely treat people who normally don’t come into this bar as a nuisance. I think if you are someone who doesn’t know them personally they will treat you like trash. We went out in such a good mood and ended up feeling awkward and disrespected. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, if you are looking for a fun spot to enjoy causal drinks with your friends. I’m being nice leaving one star negative reviews don’t amount to the experience we had. -1000/100 stars.

Total local spot! Things I love; The strong pores on the drinks, the jukebox, The staff, The people that go there. There’s a wide array of patrons. A lot of people go there that used to live on the peninsula because it’s such a cool spot. All of the local lushes go there because the drinks are so great LOL. You also get a lot of tourist to the spot as well. I like going here on Friday or Saturday night because it’s not crazy crowded like bars near the pier. And now thanks to Covid there’s an outside area in the daytime.

Stopped by here with the quickest intentions of using the bathroom and buying a quick drink in exchange. Ended up staying for a while. Great selection! Awesome dive bar with 2 pool tables! Most importantly, AMAZING SERVICE. The bartender Joe has to be one of the nicest I’ve come across in a very long time. He was generous with his pours and even let us sample some newer stuff. Like screwball—definitely try by the way. Great conversation and every other patron seemed to know and love him. Unique and laid back atmosphere! Would definitely go back and highly recommend! I really enjoy all the good people who hang out here. I have made some nice friendships. Always like to come to 47 when Trish is working!! She is funny and warm to so many cst. Makes you feel at home and also makes great drinks!! A really great bartender!!!

Great "Dive Bar" right by Balboa Pier in Huntington Beach. 2 pools tables, friendly staff and owners. If it's good enough for the NBA's most prolific rebounder of all time and Chicago Bull great Dennis Rodman, then you should stop in and check it out!! Make sure to grab a Class of 47' hat as well!! Only one bartender and still fast service relaxing environment clean bar but dive bar feel. My beer was cold and delicious what more could you ask for?

Nice bar right by the Balboa ferry. They have a limited selection of drafts and bottles available. I didn't try any cocktails but the bartender was very friendly. This is pretty much a locals bar so it's pretty cool. They a pool table and music. Check it out!

Love this bar! It is a small local bar that many people love to visit over and over including myself. Trish (one of the bartenders will greet you with a smile, great energy, and customer service-she is FAST!). The bar was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. However, the last 2 times I went in I was surprised to not see her working and didn’t stay because I didn’t feel the welcoming energy I did with her. Love this bar, can anyone tell me her schedule so I can go in when she is working?

The bar had a good vibe and we had a great time The bartenders were amazing and made very delicious green tea shots. They were pleasant to talk to you as well as everyone else in the bar.

After waiting a good while, the bartender asked me what I wanted to drink. I told her I want a water and asked if they had tajin (so I can request it with my beer) and she just ignored me and jumped to the next person and served them! Super rude! Sucks because I have always wanted to check this place out since I would always pass by. And the day I finally do, I got a bad experience. Went to the bar down the street instead.

Local neighborhood bar. Went in late on a Wednesday night. Small group of locals drinking and playing pool. Everyone from the staff to the other customers were very inviting and great to talk to.

8/1/2023 If you want fancy, this isn't your place. If you want a warm and caring staff and a drink at a good price, you're in the right spot. It seemed like everyone knew everyone else, I wish I lived nearby so I could become a regular. I'll be back next visit.

Classic place. Don't expect much, but a NPB Classic with the outdoor seating now this place is better than ever. Best quote I ever saw on the marquee "home of the worst margarita according to YELP reviewer". Come hang with the locals

Popped in while wandering around Balboa when in town on business. Very cool little dive bar with friendly locals. Yvonne was tending bar and was cool and attentive. Watched the locals hang out for a bit and enjoyed a couple of beers before moving on. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. Cheers!

The bartender Joe roofies the drinks so if you have a lapse of time and feel way too buzzed and joe is working...go file a police report cause it's a roofied drink...

This is the best place in Newport Beach unless you are rude or a jerk if you are rude or a jerk you might as well go somewhere else because this is a nice friendly place with cool people. If you are nice and cool then this is the place you want to be I try to go in early morning to see my favorite bartender Chris Miller, there are so many great bartenders here. Go in, be nice and you will have a great experience
