A very good place to try authentic Indian street and fast food. The place is moderately busy over the weekends during lunch times. The service and food quality is excellent but the atmosphere and the disposable plates quality can be slightly better. The menu items are fairly priced. We tried the Pavbhaji and the Masala Dosa which were really good.

Indian street food restaurants have been up and coming in the past few years, I haven't really noticed many choices in MI but there are surely many big chains in Chicago, IL, such as Honest Kitchen, Egg and I, great Indian street food that I would like at least once a week. Indian street food is very different from regular Indian food which we are used to in the US and it is not just about the "curry". It is difficult to describe the difference fairly in a few short sentences because the restaurant offerings, while similar in name and appearance, could be very different in presentation and taste since there are many regions in India and food ethnicities. In other words, people's opinion will vary, just to be fair. In my opinion, the offerings here are not as flavorful as the ones in Chicagoland, lack depth. Biryani is one of my favorite dishes because it combines meat, curry and rice perfectly. The Biryani that I tried here is quite bland, spicy but lacking boldness. The other dishes we tried were OK. If you are in the area and there aren't many choices, this would be an OK alternative. The prices are fairly reasonable.

Delicious spot for fresh Indian food. It was my first time eating dosa and I enjoyed it thoroughly— I ordered the cheese dosa and they were generous with the spread of stretchy cheese.

I tried Spinach Avocado Chat, Medu Vada and Dosa for lunch. The chat had too much tamarind chutney. Vada was okay but the chutney’s were not that great. Sambar was okay, lacked flavor. Dosa was a good choice. I wouldn’t say this is the best food i’ve had but might go back. They have an interesting Street food options on the menu and quite customizable.

The breakfast was good. The quantity of food was not justified with the pricing while the quality was good. We liked the upma and the chicken salna. The food serving and packaging is well organized using eco friendly materials. The restaurant is well kept and clean.

Have been here several times since it opened and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious! I recently dined-in and ordered Avocado Spinach Chat and Paneer Manchurian. Both items were so tasty - as usual! They even have a self ordering kiosk in case you didn't want to order at the counter. The restaurant is always super clean. I highly recommend trying their food!

I am writing this review in the capacity of a frequent visitor who also grew-up in India eating North & South Indian food. I have been a vegetarian all my life. This place has good South Indian food. Food quality & taste are good. It seems overpriced to me though. Service has always been great. Atmosphere is nice but tables seem too close to each other so not a great place for people with wheelchairs.

In summary, if you are seeking a satisfying dining experience with good food and exceptional customer service, I would strongly advise against choosing this establishment. Regrettably, I do not anticipate returning. This experience has left me with no option but to assign a rating of 0 stars. My recent dining experience at Masala Indian Kitchen left much to be desired. The overall impression of the restaurant was far from favorable. Firstly, the advertised closing time on their website indicated that they are open until 9:30 pm. However, when my party and I arrived at 9 pm, we were informed that dine-in service was no longer available, and only takeout orders were being accepted. The response from the staff member regarding this discrepancy was notably impolite, which was both surprising and disappointing. Especially the lady working here has bad attitude. Moving past the timing issue, our frustration continued when we attempted to place an order. To our dismay, a substantial portion of the menu items were unavailable. It is perplexing why a restaurant would maintain a menu that they cannot fully support with available ingredients.

Very well structured! Self ordering kiosk was nice with minimal contact to cashier. Food was hot and fresh and very yummy. Love how everything has pictures and the different variety of food they offer. Will be back to try more! Took a star off for dirty tables. Couldn’t find a clean table. You can tell that no ones been wiping the tables down.. there was also a pesky fruit fly. Wondering if it’s cz they’re short staffed?

I usually order take out from the restaurant and have tried almost everything on their menu. Their street food options are great. Their dishes have a consistent quality and I have always been happy with every order. The owner also offered us customized menu options when we had catering needs. Will definitely keep going back. Their staff is also very friendly and provide great service.

The food is fine, not bad, not amazing, served in paper with plasticware, and the curry tasted like they just throw plain chicken into curry right before serving (the chicken was totally bland and white inside) which is all fine BUT the prices are not appropriate for what's essentially fast food. I paid around $18 for a bowl of chicken khorma and water. No Naan, no rice. I wouldn't come back.

A plethora of Indian food - Chaat/subji/breakfast/snack! I ordered Poori Masala, Idly Vada, Paneer Sandwich & Veg Dum Biriyani. Everything tasted great. For me, Paneer Sandwich was a bomb !! They were well organized in the packaging.

Food recommendations- avocado spinach fritters chaat, mysore dosa, idly vada combo I went here on Saturday evening. The place wasn’t too busy. There is ample indoor seating. We ordered avocado spinach fritters chaat, mysore dosa, rava dosa, idly vada combo, mirchi bhaji, chickoo milkshake and sitaphal milkshake. The coconut chutney and red chutney were really good, sambar was a little bland but not bad. There are two self ordering kiosks along with in person ordering at the counter. The menu is quite extensive and customisable. I really like the steel plates they served the dosas in. Small things like this remind me of home!

Service was very friendly and quick, the gentleman working in the kitchen was nice and helpful. First time coming here as we usually go to other Indian spots in Farmington. The dosa with sambar and chutney were really good, tasted authentic. The paneer in Chilli sauce was good but the sauce could be better. Paneer was soft and fresh. Cut Mirchi was crispy, spicy, and flavorful. The spicy paneer makhani tasted good but the khorma was better as it was sweet and flavorful. Lastly, the naans were the best, fresh and right out of the oven. Will be back.

Nice little place for Indian street food - a fast pace place vs. a sit down and relax place (though tons of indoor seating). I wasn’t wow’ed by the food but the staff was very nice and the place was clean!

To my surprise the Vada Paav is really good. Glad that it does taste like typical Maharashtrian food. Masala Dosa is delicious and quite filling as well. There are few things that I really liked are clean kitchen and dine-in tables; and take outs are in compostable boxes. I would also recommend idli and medu wada with mouthwatering coconut and tomato chatni. This was my second visit to this place and it is still keeping the same standards. Recently they started rewards points which could be redeemed upon your next visit when they sum for an amount of $5. You can find more details about rewards on their website. I would definitely recommend this Indian restaurant.

Masala has a selection like no other Indian restaurant around this area. There is a lot of competition in the area, but they truly stand out. They have a large menu, which usually is worrisome, but they keep it consistently delicious! My favorite is the chicken chetinad, something I haven't found in very many places and the flavors are deep and rich, and of course delicious. Absolutely recommend.
