We went here for the first time last night to take our daughter to see Sonic 2 and wow! This place is awesome! Friendly staff, clean, great food, wonderful playground to keep the kiddos entertained while you wait for the movie to start. Simple enough, just tune your radio to the station that correlates to your screen and you are ready to go! Its just wonderful! We will for sure be back lots of times.

It has been a while since I've been to a drive in theater and visiting Stars and Stripes Drive in brought back those memories I have as a kid. We arrived about an hour before opening and there were about 20 vehicles already waiting. Our kids had a wonderful time as did my wife and I. We made sure to bring fm radios, snacks, drinks, and blankets and chairs. The facility was clean and the concession stand prices were really reasonable. The snack line did get busy so make sure to get there early.

This place was a great time. Friendly staff, clean restrooms, and alot of fun. The snack bar prices were a good value compared to other theaters. I will be see alot more movies here. I recommend everyone check this place out. Reminder, bring an fm speaker to hear the movie sound/ audio if you're watching from a tailgate or lawn chair.

🎶 Let’s All Go To The Drive-Innnnnn - Let’s All Go To The Drive-Innnnnn 🎶 My ONLY complaint is that the New Braunfels location doesn’t sell the famous Chihuahua Sandwich (like the one in Lubbock) - which is one of my very favorite sandwiches in the whole entire world - and I really just don’t understand why they don’t make it here too, I mean, the Chihuahua could easily become the next big thing, and then right here smack dab in the middle of the San Antonio-Austin corridor of all places(!) - seems like a no-brainer to me and a real lost opportunity!

Had my kiddos birthday party there. Everyone loved it and enjoyed the movie. Birthday prices are great, food is affordable and definitely our favorite place to go. Really recommend them if your wanting to do a party or just go and see a flick.

Best ever. We left a bit early because of the weather in the area but the time there was great! Most people follow instructions about lights and such. They have a cute playground for kids to get out that energy. The restrooms are clean. The restaurant is really cute and was clean when we went. Staff was very nice. Definitely recommend for date nights, family nights, or just all around a good time without having to sit directly next to others.

We enjoyed this drive in so much!! Everything was such a pleasant experience, staff was friendly and kind. They had to remind others to turn off their lights and lower their hatch backs, while doing so they remained very respectful!! They even got into the Barbie spirit by dressing in hot pink tutus

Great place for family fun. We get their an hour early so our kids could play on the play ground. Also there food is pretty good and at a great price. But it’s also a plus to bring your own takeout. And for the price it’s a bargain to see the double feature, if you can stay up. They do start very late but it’s definitely worth it. Nice clean facilities.

I have not been to the drive-in in over 20 years. I always went to them as a child and boy did it take me back to my childhood... Stars and stripes Drive-In was an amazing experience for my grandchildren and 5-year-olds definitely going to return. We stayed for two movies on a Friday night they got a little restless no problem took them to the playground they enjoyed it so much when they got back they were relaxed and enjoyed the second movie even fell asleep giving us a little adult time alone enjoying cartoons 😊 we did order some food from the diner staff was so friendly and helpful. I only wish they would give free ranch with the hot wings. But that's okay next time I'll bring my own for extra lol

We’ve been coming here for years. The drive from Austin is totally worth it. I love it in summer, sitting in lawn chairs with a cooler full of drinks and snacks. I love it in winter, snuggled up in the car. Even when my kids were little we stayed for the full double feature. It’s easy to get tickets upon arrival even on the weekend.

Great place to go, can pack your own cooler and set up, get 2 movies for 1 price (if playing double features). Or order from the Cafe, they have pretty good food. The facility is kept clean. And if you get there early, there is a play ground for kids. Definitely need to go experience it at least once.

I grew up going to the Drive-In until the one in my city closed. Went to various ones while traveling. I relocated to SATX last year and definitely wanted to come check out Stars and Stripes. Finally made it out and it was awesome. Nothing better than watching a movie wearing pajamas and no shoes with your seat reclined. Will definitely make it a regular occurrence. Next time I will plan better and get dinner.

Don’t forget your lawn chairs like we did! You might want to bring your food too because the concession prices were high as normal. We’ll come back with our 6 year old because they have a pretty good size playground loaded with kids.

This was such an enjoyable experience! You have a choice to watch 1 or 2 movies and there is a hygienic little diner to eat at in between or before the first showing. The playground was fun for my kids and they made friends with some other kids while they played! I do wish we had a Bluetooth speaker though because our van wasn't the best sound quality.

This is a great place to come and watch a movie. The pricing is very competitive for both the tickets and the movies. The cafe has a lot of dining options and everything we ordered tasted great. The bathrooms were very clean and there was a nice playground outside for the kiddos to play around in. The place is ran well, and brings back nostalgic memories.

It was my first visit and the experience was great! It was chilly out, but I love the fact there's a playground because I will definitely be back again and again :) I haven't been to the Drive Inn since the one in San Antonio closed. I love that Stars and Stripes has offered the childhood experience for me again and being able to bring my son. Also, the hotdogs and funnel cake we're delicious. The staff is friendly, and I was greeted with a smile by the cashier. Customer service 5 star.

So clean and well-kept! Definitely head to the snack shack within the first 1.5ish hours, they randomly stop serving the full menu.

This was a fun outing with the family. We arrived at least an hour before the movie do we could get a good spot. Even arriving an hour early, we were the last family to get in the front. The kids played football with other kids before the movie. There was easy access to the restrooms. The only problem I saw, was the concession line was way too long. Therefore, we didn’t even get our drinks or snacks. Thankfully, we thought to bring a cooler of snacks for the kids. Please make sure you bring a cooler of ice for your drinks because standing in that line would be way too long. I believe they could benefit from having to employees per register to help people get their popcorn and snacks before the movie will make it move faster.

Stars & stripes is so much fun. The whole family loves going here every other weekend. The food is very good and so is the popcorn, to me the quality of the popcorn is everything! The staff are amazing, friendly and willing to help. The restrooms are clean, and the parking is made easy. Highly recommend stars and stripes

Great family or date night place. You get two movies for the price of one, $8, if you pay at the drive in. They have real food to eat, hamburgers, chicken strips. Best of all they have funnel cake for less than $6. My daughter is 14 yrs & she still likes to play at their playground.

Friendly staff at the entrance. The drive in is nostalgic. It reminded me of the scene from Grease when they were at the drive in and the opening had the promotion for concessions. The drive in shared their own promotions for concessions and a message of being courteousness while there. It's a great place to take the family or have date night. And a great place to go to with your friends. My first visit was rocky because of some rude audience members that flashed their lights during the movie. But I do hope that it's not the norm all the time. It's still a great place to catch a movie or double feature with nostalgia.

I’ve been bringing my children here for about 8 years now and they love it! I get a wave of nostalgia watching them live in the moment that I’ve also enjoyed as a child from the 90s. Stars & Stripes is spacious, clean and very convenient. There’s a playground and seating for my littles to play and run around when they lose interest in the screen. Indoor Concession stand with seating, clean restrooms. Trash cans around the parking lot for quick and easy clean up. We enjoy the double feature along with bringing our ice chest filled with snacks and drinks for the family.

This is a family favorite for us. We love it year round. It’s nice to have the liberty to bring your own food and beverages in with you. But we always hit the concession stand too because the corn fritters are a treat unique to Stars and Stripes. Great place to meet up with large groups.
