For our first visit to the Napa area, we decided to fulfill our foodie goals (we are not wine people!) and visit a Thomas Keller original. We LOVED it here. The weather was lovely enough to enjoy a long dinner on the patio, and we went all out and tried a fair sampling of the menu. It was fantastic. The service was wonderful as well, we were well attended to. We will be back to try Ad Hoc. And don't be deterred by the line at the bakery next door, it's worth the wait!

Went here yesterday. Food was phenomenal, but my mom (who I surprised with dinner there while we were in town) and I were the only ones seated outside and random staff kept coming out to make sure we weren’t dining and dashing (legitimately coming out and dusting the base of an already dusted heater, moving a single chair slightly to one side, etc. EVERY FEW MINUTES) which got progressively more awkward until my mom asked me “do they think we’re trying to chew and screw?” which is a phrase unfamiliar with me, but she is originally from Minnesota so who knows - anyways, if you don’t look affluent enough to dine there, or mention you’re from out of town, be prepared for a lot of helicoptering. But let’s be honest, if I’m gonna dine and dash (which I could never ever do because I would have nightmares about it for the rest of my life) I wouldn’t just get two apps and a single entree to split between the two of us. It’d be all steak all day and you better believe I’d be getting every dessert on the menu.

We enjoyed every bit of this place! It was crowded and fully booked when we came in, so we decided to sit at the bar. The Bartender was amazing and promptly made us drinks. The food was delicious and the truffle fries are a must have!

Maybe Thomas Keller has good recipes, but definitely were executed poorly the night we were there. Overall the food was good but way too salty, especially the devil egg and brisket entree. Service was okay, felt very rushed. Unfortunately it’s one of the worst Michelin 1 star restaurants I’ve been, feel like it got awarded 1 star just because of Thomas Keller’s name, not food or service.

We had high hopes for this restaurant, and the food exceeded our expectations, especially the Gnocchi with black truffle, which was simply outstanding. However, I must say that I can only give the service 2 stars. It's possible that our experience was unique, but we found the servers to be rather impolite. Despite confirming our reservation and seating us, they later asked for our names again as if we hadn't made a reservation. Furthermore, a persistent fly kept visiting our table throughout the meal. Additionally, when we placed our orders, the waiter displayed impatience and seemed displeased that we didn’t order any wine or follow their recommended appetizer. While the food was amazing, the disappointing service is the reason why we won't be returning.

This is my third time here. Hate to give the place a 4 stars but on this occasion, I think they felt short. The hostess was distracted and made us wait while seating others even though we had an online reservation. The food was good but not memorable. The steak with fries was overpriced at $50. No way that steak should had been that expensive given the size and quality. Plus, while it was cook to the term requested, the steak was hard and the fries had no flavor. One could get better fries at an every day joint. The silver lining was the service, which was exceptional, and the only reason I am giving a 4 stars and not 3. I am open to give this place another chance, but give this the cost, I was/will be expecting way more than what we experienced.

Not worth the long wait and prices. The service is definitely good. The staff knows what they are doing, but the food was so salty that I drank 5 glasses of water during the meal. The bread was good, but the croissants are average.

Upscale restaurant in the heart of Napa! A friend recommended this to us, and we had to try it out. The mussels we ordered were some of the freshest we have ever had. The escargot was DELICIOUS! Our waitress was amazing and friendly, and she gave us a little bag of truffles at the end for our anniversary. We felt very taken care of.

It was so crowded on Sunday, nice place to have a French style causal lunch. Staffs are nice and service is good enough to make us feel comfortable, even we are seated at the bar. Food is delicious, we ordered devil eggs, mussel and duck leg. Feel like having a chill Sunday at France.

We r here for my best friend and I’d birthday and it was absolutely incredible. I recommend getting the corner table as it is more intimate. The seafood was freshly made and shucked to order. The wine selection was pretty decent with varying types and price points. Beef TarTar is to die for, so good. What an experience!

Wonderful experience, the petit plateau has some of best oysters and sea food I’ve ever tried. Great with a glass of champagne. We tried the onion soup, enjoyed the melted cheese fyi it’s really hot so take your time. I probably wouldn’t order it again but it makes a good picture. My absolute favorite was the Ravioli with Truffles. Small portion wish I would of order the bigger size.

Celebrated an amazing birthday with dinner at Bouchon. Great service and lively atmosphere. It can get loud because it’s a small place and everyone is drinking haha. I opted for the special… dumpling pasta. If I knew the price I would have opted for the sole. The fries are great. Everyone around us ordered them too. The French onion soup is very tasty too. Next time all try the mussels.

The definitive French experience in Napa (French Laundry aside), with a welcoming selection of traditional French dishes while not oversaturating your menu choices. The service, decor, and atmosphere all are perfect with the Bouchon Bakery right next door to compliment your visit. This is a perfect way to break up your wine tasting day, but do make reservations as they are very popular and will likely be full, especially on weekends and holidays.

Great food and service. Yes it's a bit pricey, but the food is divine. I ordered soup and a bowl of mussels and french fries. The mussels were soft and just melt in my mouth. Wasn't hard or rubbery like some restaurants. Come here for a special night out

Great experience and delicious food, friendly service and fun, casual atmosphere. Waiter had good knowledge of potential implications for anyone who needs gluten free options and they have a separate fryer for gluten free food. Highly recommend the blood sausage, moules frites, macaron, profiteroles, and pig ears. Make sure to book early. Free parking on nearby streets.

A five star dining experience from before we stepped foot into the restaurant to when we left. The host, Tony, was so incredibly helpful and lovely all around. The bartender who served us provided some of the best service we've ever experienced dining. This was our favourite part of our visit to Napa. Will definitely return and highly recommend to anyone!

A Thomas Keller dinning experience that won’t disappoint. The outdoor area is small but nicely setup with a good amount of sun. Our waiter was fantastic from start to finish. He knew the menu, could articulate the specials and gave us great recommendations on dishes and wine paring. We started with the seafood tower and a bottle of riesling while we waited for the main entrees. Wife had pasta with truffles and I had the steak hash. Both were very rich dishes. For dessert we had the lemon tart and creme brûlée. The lemon tart was a lot better than the creme brûlée. Overall, a great brunch. Highly recommended. $$$$

I used to visit Bouchon Bistro in Yountville every day after work and it’s always a pleasure to revisit this amazing spot with my kids. The drinks are innovative and the service is top-notch. The dining room offers a wonderful Parisian ambiance that makes for a truly memorable experience. The food is excellent and the bakery next door serves the most delicious traditional French breads and pastries. Highly recommended!

Food were great. We ordered the roasted chicken, white sausage and the mussels. They were great. You can reserve if you don’t want to wait. We had no reservation we waited for 30mins but that was fine because we were also in queue for their bakery. I love their almond croissant.

Great atmosphere! Really feels like going to a good bistro in France or Luxembourg! Excellent service, great bread, butter, wine, food and coffee. Reduce one star only because the roasted chicken had a tiny bit too much salt for my taste.

Great unplanned, walk-in experience here. Waiters were attentive, punctual, and knowledgeable. Drinks arrived quickly, and accurately. Food also arrived promptly, very well presented, and very tasty! Would come here again for sure.

The food. That's why we went and we were not disappointed in that aspect. We decided on Bouchon for our 20th anniversary dinner. The food was excellent, the wait staff was excellent. The only downside is that we were seated in a corner of a long wall booth. They had to pull our table out for us to get into the booth. There were multiple tables on either side of us. The waiter for the table next to us constantly squeezed between the tables. When I say squeeze, I mean squeeze. His thighs were touching our table and our neighbors table. Not very appealing having the waiters rear end hovering over your table, food and drinks. Back to the food. My steak was perfectly cooked, the escargot was amazing. Dessert was perfect. I highly recommend Bouchon for their food. A lot of people were celebrating birthdays and receiving a bag of brownies etc. with candles. We were just celebrating 20 years of marriage(no big deal right!?) and were told Happy Anniversary on our way out the door. It seems like a great place to be acknowledged for your birthday, not so much for an anniversary. In conclusion. The food upheld its reputation. It was quite loud inside, and I felt packed in... So the atmosphere is not quite "romantic" or calming. Would I go back. 100%. The food was that good. Now I know what to expect. I hope this review helps other people out.

I've had the privilege at dining at Thomas Keller's well known restaurants like Per Se and French Laundry, but never at his staple Bouchon Bistro in Yountville. Everything was so amazing and full of flavor. The escargot was one of the best I've ever had. The oysters were also very fresh. My wife got the special steak bouchon and loved it. Service was great as well. It was packed, even at 4pm, so make sure you have a reservation!

Came here for lunch and wasn’t disappointed! The salmon was the best salmon my boyfriend and I have ever tried and the gnocchi was amazing as well. We were too full to try dessert. The onion soup was good but didn’t stand out as anything special, there’s probably better starters to go for.
