There are not enough words to describe how this place made me feel. The vibe itself it’s amazing. I will start that the layout of the restaurant it’s beautiful. It’s a big place and they also have standup shows. We ordered a cappuccino with almond milk, cortadito and a drip coffee all of them were delicious. Athenas breakfast was AMAZING. You might think that it’s not a big deal but, I really felt loved hahaha the girls on front they do really care about you and how everything was made I can see that they do their BEST. This is the perfect breakfast for a Sunday morning to pamper. On the other hand, I would say that it can be a little overpriced but totally worth it. You cannot missed this place.

Stopped in for a quick coffee and fast/easy breakfast. The avo toast & chocolate croissant was delicious, the pistachio white mocha was AMAZING, but the service was the absolute BEST! Thanks Jamie for being awesome this morning 👏

Barista was on point with his creations. He clearly cared about the product and standard. The coffee was delicious! The place is cute and the art work wa stellar. Would definitely return to experience this place again!

We rented out the upstairs event center and wow was the service on point. The manager Monique was our bartender and one of the owners mark helped us with all the audio visual set up. Needless to say our event was a complete success with that personal touch you only get from a place like Athena.

This coffee shop is too cute! the vibes are extremely cozy and there’s a lot of seating, including some covered outdoor tables. A wonderful place to work, study, or chat with friends. The staff was incredibly friendly and the coffee fantastic… though it was a little pricier than other shops in the area so it was a treat for us, not somewhere we’d go regularly.

Mo’s bagel breakfast sandwich is the absolute best! Not to mention everything on their drink menu is incredible. I’ve been living here for years and after one visit, became my favorite local coffee shop. If you’re looking for delicious food, great coffee, high fives and good vibes, look no further.

I lived in Seattle when espresso was becoming popular, coffee shops were everywhere and most of them were short lived, however, the ones who were independent and survived the Starbucks monopoly did so because of the quality of their product. I had a tiny bakery around the corner from my apartment, they did things correctly, especially the espresso drinks. For years I would get my morning coffee there, so I got used to drinking a superior latte. I now live in the Salt Lake City area, and almost all the coffee shops are corporate owned, and the machines are all automated. A latte that is at parity with the cup of coffee I took for granted for so many years is illusive, I was beginning to believe that it no longer existed. Yesterday I dropped my sister off at work and had some time to kill, I was looking for coffee shops near me, and I spent some time looking for a good cup, with no luck. I had all but given up, but the last place on my list was called: Athena Beans, Coffee House and Bistro. Athena Beans is in a little square with several different businesses. I honestly wasn’t expecting much. The first thing I noticed was the espresso machine and I got into conversation with Matthew about the state of automation in the local espresso market. Matthew pulled a perfect latte; in fact, it may have been the best latte I have ever enjoyed. I didn’t eat anything there, but if the coffee represents the food, it is going to be delicious. I am so happy to have found this place, it is a hidden gem.

Athena’s is a favorite spot to do homework! My girls always want to come here instead of home; the atmosphere helps them focus. It has been difficult to come as often as we would like because they close at 5pm. Hoping Athena’s coffee shop becomes super busy and begins staying open later 😎. The coffee is incredible!! We are coffee people, and it is outstanding, AND THEY HAVE A DRIVE THRU!!! 😍 I’d encourage anyone to meet up here, support local business, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind spot.

We stopped in to have a bite to eat and enjoy the AC after our vehicle broke down. The compassion and customer service was so very wonderful, the barista even left a note of kindness on my hibiscus tea. It truly brightened my day! The avocado toast with the egg on top was DELISH and I will probably crave it for ever! Thank you for brightening our day! Highly recommended!!

This is a cute shop but the real reason for a high rating is my two favorite employees: Matt and Justine. They always do a great job making my drinks, remembering what I order, and making me feel like this is a business that cares when I show up. When I get there, if I see either of them working, I know that everything will go smoothly. I'm glad Athena's hires these good people!

Used to love this place and would tell all my friends about it! But the quality has gone down hill. I stopped going for the coffee and would just stick to their food items to be safe. I always ordered the same drink but it would somehow taste different every time. It’s been a while since I’ve been here and I don’t know if it’s the quality or training, but I asked for an iced white mocha and got an orangey murky water looking drink. I thought maybe since they’ve changed their menu, they have a different style of coffee now so I gave it a try and nope- tasted like cough syrup :( I never ask for refunds and was really considering it this time but sadly had to return to work. I’ll stick to Beans and Brews. Staff was super sweet though. Edit: first drink is iced white mocha from athenas. Second pic is a frozen white mocha from Beans. That’s the color it should have been. I did ask for a blended white mocha and the barista said they no longer make blended drinks. I know I got an iced one but the color and taste were still off. Did not taste like coffee at all, tasted like watered down cough syrup.

My favorite coffee shop in Utah, the people here are friendly and inviting. There are plenty of comfortable places to sit and enjoy their great food and coffee in a relaxing atmosphere that's good for work, reflecting, enjoying a book, playing chess or socializing. The owner is warm and friendly also and it's always a pleasure to be around everyone there. When I visit here it feels as though I am on vacation in Hawaii and I decompress before, after and during a workday. Mahalo to everyone at Athena Coffee.

Love this place! The baristas are so fun, and they never miss! And huge bonus - they use mostly organic ingredients!

I felt judged and discriminated by the young ladies taking the order. Seems that are a little racist and would ask in first instance if my payment was in cash assuming I didn’t have a card. Nice building but watch out with your employees.

Since I began working from home awhile ago, I started coming to Athena a few weeks ago to mix things up a bit. I've tried their regular drip and their specialty "Athena" and can say both are pretty spectacular. The service is great—they bring your coffee to you when it's ready, very friendly, and exude a very welcoming vibe. Great work, will definitely be recommending you and coming back regularly.

Classy and unpretentious. Great spot for a business meeting or catching up with a friend. Excellent coffee, delicious breakfast, and an assortment of seating. Bring your laptop and plan on spending some time in this light and comfortable atmosphere. This is my sister and I's new favorite place!

One of my absolute favorite coffee shops! Mo and the rest of the staff are amazing. Kind, hard working, and fun! Drinks and food are so yummy. Atmosphere is the best. 11/10 recommend and you get to support a local, small business! :)

Who knew that a phenomenal coffee shop would be hidden in Sandy of all places? The whole experience of going to Athena is great everytime. The atmosphere, the coffee, the kind baristas, all amazing. The special drink menu is where it's at! (The drinks are named after Greek gods!! So fun!!!) Even if I just get a cold brew, it's worth going to Athena. Better than going to Starbucks any day of the week, plus it's cheaper too.

This place is fantastic! The service was good and staff was very kind and friendly. Oh, and let’s not forget, the vanilla latte was on point. Additionally they have some good food options and lots of good seating!

The coffee is fantastic! There's more of a regular coffee menu and then there are signature drinks. They are all named after Greek gods and goddesses. I ordered the Hades and it is fantastic! I definitely recommend it if you are a mocha fan, especially. The walls have Greek art on then and it is really well done. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the barista was very helpful and friendly. I definitely will be back.

What a hidden gem! I came in the afternoon hoping for lunch. I ended up having the quiche since the food menu is limited, and it was the best quiche I’ve ever had. I also had the juice with the beets. I can’t recall the name but it was delicious! And I don’t like beets at all. Next time I’ll go for a coffee. But anyway the place is pretty big with lots of cozy seating and outdoor tables too. Will definitely make this my go-to coffee shop!

Used to love the coffees here, but over the past few months their drinks began tasting really watered down. The last few times I've been here, there were completely different food menus. Not sure if it's because of so many management or staff changes, but unfortunately I will be getting coffee and snacks from other local shops now since there just isn't any consistency. A shame because the atmosphere here is great and the baristas are friendly.

What a gem of a coffee shop hidden in Sandy! So peaceful in there, I love it! I enjoyed the calm atmosphere. My giant 4 shot iced latte was also a big plus, glad they have food options available!

Favorite coffeeshop in Salt Lake County. The coffee is great, the buildings is cute, but most of all, the baristas are incredibly genuine and friendly. Couldn't be happier with this place.

Great spot, spacious, with tons of room and a great vibe. The coffee was great, and we'll be looking forward to coming back soon.

My new coffee shop. Barista CJ did it up right, offering to infuse cinnamon into my decaf latte. No one has ever offered that! Good coffee, wood tables give a warm welcoming atmosphere, relaxing music on now, large rental space upstairs, drive thru at the back of the building not visible from the street. In mall with state liquor store. I'll be here for Monday night open mic 🎤 at 8pm! Phoenix
