I am only giving 1 star because everyone was great at the ED after my encounter with the security guard upfront. But that specific security company is an issue and that guard was awful to have to deal with. I am not sure why he's screening people for symptoms or reason for visit? Or what power he held in that and asking why my child was needing to be seen? But he could have been kinder about his approach and explained why I needed the thin yellow mask instead of my N95 mask I was wearing. Instead of treating me like I was refusing to wear a mask period. I assumed like all places or hospitals they have those upfront for people who have forgotten theirs. Which is why I politely explained mine was not cloth but in-fact a recommended mask. It takes very little to politely explain it's just policy there and offered a solution like the receptionist did and wearing it over my N95. I was not combative in anyway but it certainly affected the start of my visit and had a negative impact. Aside from that, I wasn't sure at first of how our visit would go, but our practitioner was very sweet and so was our nurse. I do love that they run a panel to check for all viruses and not just the one or two they suspect. I was very pleased with the immediate hospital staff. Reception was sweet and very quick with vitals in triage there in the ED.

I thought I would share my experience regarding the interview I did with this company for the patient acces rep position. I would like to begin by stating that I am qualified for the position I applied for even over qualified. I have experience in the position and am educated. My fiancé is a doctor and I spent a year in medical school myself. With that said, my interview felt very strange. When I walked into the room with the second interviewer she was staring at her phone and barely greeted me. She stared at her phone as I walked in and sat down she never acknowledged or looked at me, when she was ready she greeted me yet it felt fake. It was off putting to say the least. She seemed almost bothered that I was there. She was not friendly during the interview almost trying to act better than me. In hindsight there is no doubt in my mind that she was extremely intimidated by my education, credentials and truthfully I feel she was jealous and didn’t want me there to begin with. However, it is the recruitment team that picks resumes for interviews. I believe she did not want to hire someone more educated and qualified to work under her. This is the only explanation for her to act with the false superiority and dismissiveness that I was sensing from her from second one. She didn’t seem excited to have me there but instead bragged about how long she had been in the healthcare business in a smug manner. She would also make smug passive aggressive comments after I spoke. It was pretty uncomfortable. Before I was out the door after the interview she was back staring at her phone and didn’t even say bye or anything. It was disgusting behavior and not respectable. The interview in itself is very impersonal. There was no warm small talk or opening the conversation with what the interview was going to consist of. The first interviewer just jumped right into reading questions off a sheet of paper. I was taken off guard with the abruptness and cold start to the interview. Especially since I had just been greeted so coldly. They read very structured questions off a sheet of paper and both ladies would immediately start writing on the paper when I would begin to answer the question they asked instead of looking at me. So instead of a conversation while I was speaking they were just staring at their paper and writing quickly while I spoke. It was bizarre. Some of the questions to me were very redundant. How do I stay organized? Like I said, the second interviewer seemed jealous, bothered by the first sight of me, and acted smug the entire time I was there from beginning to end. This all made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. Also, I mentioned my son was about to start college and one of the interviewer’s jaw dropped and she immediately looked at the other interviewer in shock, they seemed bothered by this. So perhaps they don’t want to hire mothers. That is the feeling I got from this reaction. I have one 19 year old son who is independent so this could barely be deemed a problem for my work life. Weird. I ended up withdrawing my application on the website. After reading the one star reviews on indeed regarding this position and this management I feel I definitely dodged a bullet. I did not want to work in an environment like that. If the interview feels toxic I’m curious about what the employees are dealing with. This is my only experience with this hospital and it was poor. I wouldn’t apply there again and I’m not surprised they are having difficulty filling these roles and keeping employees. Do your research before applying and read the reviews on indeed. It may save you time and energy. If you apply there, for this position, be ready to be treated like you’re an imposition instead of that they are lucky you took your time to apply and interview at their company.

Our 2 year old had to be hospitalized for pneumonia, we chose childrens for her. I am so glad I did. They were through with her and quickly went to work getting her well. They catered to us a family as well as her as a patient. Her care staff was amazing and D our respiratory therapist was amazing. Our daughter is a touch me not, D still was amazing caring for her. The cafeteria was amazing and brought food to our daughter when we wanted. Being sick and worried with your little one is stressful, but the staff helped make us feel at ease and took great compassion in caring for our daughter.

The team was very good to my son. Facilities are nice. But financial is no less than a nightmare. No one picks up the phone, no one calls back. Fix your staffing issues! From the sounds of another review maybe toxic leadership needs to go so they can keep employees.

Having multiple children we’ve been to this hospital many of times. We’ve had some decent experiences but majority of them have been a waste of time. All of the bad ones have been with Dr. Hollingsworth. She is awful with special needs kiddos and is 100% accurate in MISDIAGNOSING and giving you the wrong treatment along with belittling parents and ignoring their needs. Of all Childerns Hospitals this has to be one of the worst.

My son had surgery on a broken bone on 11/14 a great team was taking care of him until a nurse named Tabatha wanted to send him home in pain not too long after he arrived to PACU. She told me to go pick up the medicines they prescribed at the pharmacy which is 30 minutes away. I insisted that I didn't feel comfortable leaving the hospital when he was in pain. It took her like 10 minutes to decide go get the doctor and the doctor decided right away that he was going to receive pain medicine before we leave. Dr Koder and all the other staff were wonderful.

Went to Mercy for my daughter (6 m/o) to get looked at after having a bad cough and low fever. Her oxygen was between 80%-82% and had marbling at her hands and feet. she for sure had RSV and an ear infection. Was sent to children’s only for the doctor to come in and do a 2 minute appointment and send my daughter home. Completely pointless to have even gone there in the first place.

Love Childrens of NWA. The nurses are very caring in the ER. We have had multiple surgeries there with only the very best care and we see urology every year with Dr. Patel and he is fantastic at his job.

I’ve been to the ER several times and the staff has always been amazing! 1 of my children had to have surgery here and the whole experience was so good. Very good with kids. I will take my kids there every time.

My husband took my daughter in due to acute stomach pain, nausea and vomiting over a course of 2 days. They got to the ER around 7:30 pm. At 10 o’clock they took her vitals they gave her medicine and then somehow they discharged her in the system versus keeping her to go see the doctor. At 1am or 130 ish another patient, who had been conversing with my husband and who came in after him, got called back and she mentioned that he hadn’t gotten called back so they came over and chatted with him and that’s when they realized the accidental discharge and they had to start all over, however they at least bumped them straight to number one. When they got back there they were told probably just a virus. I’ve seen tons of children today with similar symptoms. It’s just viral. Very disappointed in staff, not only did they make my family wait an extra 3 hours because of their incompetence but then they were greeted with a mostly likely nothing diagnosis. What a waste

I have no reason to doubt this outstanding medical facility is exceptional in its care. I just found it interesting and amusing that it is included when I searched for "Animal Emergency Clinics Near Me" on Google Maps.

In the last 6 months , we have experienced several departments at the Children's hospital. We've been to the ER, ENT specialist, and most recently, surgery. I want to give a shout out to Dr. Bower, the anesthesiologist, and the entire team of pre-op and post-op nursing staff that worked August 7th, 2023. My daughter is only 6 years old and needed a Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy. I had massive amounts of anxiety going into surgery day, not out of fear of the surgery itself but fear that my daughter was going to be terrified and traumatized over what was about to happen. I was literally blown away by how much care and compassion they showed her from the moment she sat in the hospital bed. They knew she was scared and they handled her with the most amazing care. After it was over, her PACU nurse took her to pick out a doll. She left surgery with no tonsils, no trauma, and new toys! The surgical department here went above and beyond all of my expectations and I'm so grateful for everything they've done for my little girl. ❤️

Phenomenal care, staff, medical professionals, and hospitality. I have experienced an outpatient surgery and a three day virus stay with my two sons, both of which my family were treated like royalty. So glad to have this hospital in NWA!!

I cannot rate them positively. My grandson came in with severe burns. He had urinated on himself in the ambulance and they left him in those clothes. They sedated him to clean the burns and then did a “poor job of it” according to Children’s in Little Rock-who said they need more training. We would have definitely gone to WRMC if we had it to do over. He ended up having to have the wounds properly cleaned unsedated which was a horribly painful experience for him. Shame on them.

The doctors and nurses are amazing! Thankful for the security even though there were a couple hoops to jump through. Can't say enough great things about the staff there! Dr. Dalton and Jordan, Nurse Cameron, Hayley, Anna and Paige and so many others that cared so well for us. We are so grateful we have this hospital in NWA!

There aren’t enough words to describe the tremendous care we received. From the time we were greeted upon walk in, the registration, surgery check in. Everyone & everything was absolutely top notch. The nurses being so patient and answering all questions making my son feel comfortable. The anesthesiologist explained everything step by step, what to expect, how the body responds to it. I am so thankful for him. My sons surgery went amazing. What could’ve been a traumatic experience thankfully wasn’t. Again, I am so thankful. He even came home with some prizes for being so brave.

My son is currently admitted here and the nursing staff and doctors are simply amazing! With suspected meningitis, they were very thorough and did every test imaginable to make sure they knew what exactly was going on. I'm so impressed with this hospital... Kudos to every nurse and doctor at this hospital, each one of you are a gift and a blessing! Thank you all!

From our consult 10 days ago to our outpatient ENT procedure today, I cannot say enough good things about our ACH ENT experience. Our consult two weeks ago with our ENT, APRN Valerie, was thorough, professional and personable. We never felt rushed and all of our questions were answered in full. She was excellent with our young child and it was a good consultation all-around. Today’s procedure went just as well— from a short check-in to timely pre-op/procedure, we were never left waiting and everything was well-communicated. Dr. Amos (surgeon), Dr. Beck (anesthesiology), specialist Sarah, and nurse Bethany were an incredible team and my expectations were beyond exceeded with how comfortable they made both our child and us. I absolutely recommend utilizing ACH, if it’s an option, because it’s truly a kid-centric facility and team. Our only other experience with ACH has been utilizing their ER for our infant (with RSV), and we were impressed again with their short wait time, effective communication and thorough evaluation.

If you need care for your child, the this is the place to go. From the moment you come in for check in, to the pre-op and post-op care the level of skill, the emotional connections they make for children and the sheer professionalism the staff and doctors exhibit are phenomenal. I have visited the ER side late at night and my children have had surgical procedures here. I just want to say how blessed NWA is to have this located in our state Amazing.

The staff here was awesome, everyone knew what they were doing and how to do it. We were treated as you would want to be treated having to take your baby to the ER. The wait was 5 hours, but aside from the long wait time it was perfect. We will choose this hospital if we ever need to take one of our kids in again!

Horrible staff, no regard for the parents time. With all the technology they have working for them they can not manage the time a patient has to wait in the waiting room. I was at the hospital with my daughter and after 75 minutes waiting for a simple EKG test, we asked to speak to someone and no one was available. I do not recommend this hospital.

  • 1/5 Yana M. 1 year ago on Google
I had an appointment for a cardiogram and EKG and was instructed to get in 15 minutes early. I waited for an hour and was not called in while everyone was being called in that had arrived after me. I talked to the receptionist and she said she will talk to the nurses and still no answer. Finally I went to the first floor reception area and asked to talk to the person in charge and they were too busy to hear my concerns. Do Not recommend this hospital to anyone.

This hospital is absolutely top notch. Our 4 week old son had to undergo emergency surgery yesterday morning and we stayed in the hospital for two days. During our time here we did not encounter a single staff member who was anything short of AMAZING! Thank you to Dr Mcvay and her surgical team, and to all the wonderful nurses and assistants who helped to make our traumatic experience a little easier to deal with. Every person at this establishment was so genuinely kind and caring. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone in the area with little ones. You will not be disappointed!

Although the wait was a little long( which is fine, because you were very busy) the ER staff was very attentive and helpful to everyone that walked in the door. When it comes to our kids, we as parents stress and you guys eased that stress for me just a little. Once we got back, the nurses and dr showed my baby so much kindness and love. We had left another urgent care where we were treated so rudely. So it was a breath of fresh air to be treated with kindness while trying to help my baby.

This hospital is a gift to our area. Don't rate it low just because you had to wait a while in ER! Look I've been there. I know it takes a while, but the reality is that these people give amazing care to kids and you can have 100% faith that when they get to you they are going to give your kids the best. My daughter had surgery here and they were incredible with her. Absolutely low key and no trauma or fear for her. My son had staples put in here... He's a highly sensitive child who they worked with and got it done. Thank you to the amazing nurses and staff at Children's NWA!!! I'm so glad we have a hospital like this in our area.

They did a great job taking care of us and our kids. It's a really nice facility. I was horrified to learn they have no central monitoring. Soon after the life flighted one of the kids to Little Rock where they have central monitoring.
