Great atmosphere, multiple reading rooms, and an impressive collection. The Widener Collection is housed in its dedicated room. While the place is not open to public, PhD students from other institute can get a discounted admission fee for a year. Additionally, there's a cafe and a dining area underground, along with hallways that supposedly connect the library to other areas. The security will check bags when you leave.

This library is the biggest one on Harvard campus. The architecture is gorgeous…students here are nice to introduce the beautiful campus here!

Really cool place. Very photo genic library. Extremely historical and modern significance. Think of the great minds of studying this library. The library is beautiful during the day as well as at night. Great destination for tourists as well. Just be sure to park the car in Harvard Yard.

You cannot enter unless you are a Harvard or MIT scholar... and that's understandable although a pity... I would have loved to spend a day a study there

It is a library of Harvard that so many visitors came to take a picture but can't get inside. It is remodeled with 4 more basement floors but looks like the same of the original shape

Was indeed a library. The steps are usually covered in students with a light smattering of squirrels thrown in for good measure.

Interesting history behind the library and its building. I used Harvard tour mobile app which had a very interesting self-guided tour with informations about these buildings and other places around Harvard campus. I didn’t get to visit inside tough.
