Food was piping hot ( so hot the handle of my knife had melted to the skillet by the time it was set down infront of us), full of flavor and served in big portions. The atmosphere was colorful and full of unique touches. Unfortunately, the service was not good. We entered an empty dining room and were seated at tiny, unlit table next to the bathrooms with a broken open katsup bottle and a servers spare apron tucked in with us. Our server had no interest in explaining the specials. We came in during a notable lull, being the only table in the dining room for the first 15 minutes of our visit, so I'm at a loss for why he was in such a hurry to get away from us.

Mazatlan has classic Mexican restaurant food. The food is average to pretty good - could’ve used more toppings (like sour cream, cheese…) for the fajitas. The portions are good for the price.

My wife and I ate here while staying in Delafield. Nice Mexican restaurant. I enjoyed my shrimp dinner. My wife had the fish tacos which were only okay. I enjoyed the special Margarita quite a bit, but my wife didn't care for it. Their chips were toasted a bit too much. The service was quite good with multiple people checking in on us. Nice decor and ambience.

Great staff and service. The food was not so great. We ordered a seafood burrito that had only a couple pieces of shrimp and three small scallops. The plate did not have rice or beans a indicated on the menu. The sauce for the chips was awesome though as was the guacamole

Super nice people, I asked for a vegan friendly meal , they have a vegetarian section of the menu. However I asked for bean enchiladas with green sauce and it didn't disappoint I'm pretty sure more items can be made vegan friendly.

Margaritas were excellent so was the food. My daughter had the special...enchilada verse with chorizo. She said they were a bit bland but the chorizo was excellent with lots of flavor. I had El Combo....enchilda,taco,chili relleno, tostada,rice and beans. I dont know what was different but I lived the beans. They had do much flavor. Our server was awesome. I will definitely go back another day.

A great location for a Mexican restaurant in downtown Delafield, I had no idea it was even there. The inside is decorated like your classic Mexican restaurant and for a Saturday it wasnt that busy. We were seated right away by the friendly staff, though when we tried to order drinks, I think our waiter only spoke Spanish. Great for authenticity, but challenging for us visitors. I ordered the chicken flautas, one of my favorites. They were good and covered in cheese, even better, the side of rice was average. We would definitely stop in again, I'll have to brush up on some Spanish.

Staff was very friendly, food was DELICIOUS, and the outdoor seating was so cute! Although it was busy it didn’t feel like we were waiting a long time for anything! Very efficient service! Highly recommend!!!

Great service, very prompt and all orders were correct and served on super hot dishes. Loved the chips and salsa before the meal. We ordered the Burrito Paisa. Really tasty came with a semi spicy red sauce. Also ordered the burrito loco. Huge serving came with beans and rice. My son loved it. Also ordered two margaritas. It was on sale on Friday buy one get one half off. A bit on the pricey side but very good and came in a large cup. With the discount definitely worth it.

Great service, friendly staff. Food was mediocre. I ordered a seafood burrito and it had 3 pieces of shrimp on top and 4 small scallops inside the burrito. Very little sauce and no rice or beans as indicated on the menu.

Best Mexican in lake country! The freshly made salsa, house margaritas and friendly staff have made us regulars. Love being able to sit on the patio in the summer. Try the specialty dishes on the menu!

It’s always busy but there is always room. Good food and drinks. Servings are large. The kind of restaurant that checks in on you but let’s you enjoy your meal. Lost a star because the women’s restroom door is very difficult to close. Accidentally walked in on an older lady who wasn’t able to shut it

My family dined here on Thursday 1/5/23 and got sat immediately. LaLo took great care of us with his menu knowledge and prompt refill service. He paid special attention to my 4 year old daughter and she loved talking to him. My wife ordered the Burrito Much Large and she said it was “exactly what a burrito should be!” I stole a bite off of her plate and can confirm that it was exceptional. My fajitas were amazing as well. The décor is vibrant without being too loud and everyone seemed to be having a great time. 100% would recommend as this is the best, authentic Mexican restaurant in lake country. We will be back very soon.

We had the misfortune of arriving after 7:45pm on a Monday night. There were 3 other tables besides us. Each server was sitting in a booth watching videos on their phone with the volume blasting, it was incredibly loud and annoying. They then turned on a Radio on full blast that was on mono, it was the worst experience we’ve had here. The food was terrible, and the servers were more interested with driving us out than doing their jobs. Really the food is below average on a good day, they have a great location and everything else is terrible.

Always great food! Lots of choices and an always friendly owner and staff. I always enjoy the El Rey Azteca, I always have some left overs the next day for lunch. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. If getting a margarita the frozen lime behind the bar is one of my favorites.
