The Beverly Hotel was perfect. Check in via phone text, easy and efficient. The room was exactly as expected and the location was perfect! Close to Gloucester, Salem and Boston made it a comfortable base to see the area. The hotel itself is on a side street - nice and safe! Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Especially Nick's Roast Beef! Don't hesitate - this place is great!

A great choice when you need a place to stay in the North Beverly area. The prices were great, and the room size was large. Like a tiny apartment, with a full-size refrigerator, and plates and cutlery. Keyless entry, and person-less reception was great. They were very communicative. Only negative was there was a slight musty smell to the room. Perhaps because it hadn’t been used in a while. But it was clean, no problem there👍🏻

The owners are great communicators and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our rooms were clean, well stocked and spacious. The location is perfect, close to several great places to eat and only a few miles from Salem. We would definitely stay again.

Loved the location close to Salem, MA plus they have everything you need at the hotel including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I love the fact you can wash your clothes without having to pay like other hotels. The only downer is we had the lower level and can hear foot steps up stairs. I think this is due to how the building was built.

My suite was tucked into the back hall of the main building which actually OK for me. The rooms were spotless, and there was plenty of storage areas in both bedroom and kitchen. The kitchen had a full size stove and refrig, for a queen size suite that was a nice surprise. The location was good access to stores, 128 and the train. Being on route 1A there can be noise from the road and train. The communication with the staff and check in is by phone texts so that takes some getting used to but they did respond quickly (within 2 minutes) when I had a questions. I would go back!

We enjoyed a 3 night stay while visiting Salem which was an easy 15 minute drive each day and more affordable and comfortable than just staying in a hotel room. It was great to have a full kitchen to make meals, though I couldn't find any cooking utensils in our suite - that was the only minor inconvenience. Everything else with the room was fantastic, probably the most comfortable bed I've ever stayed in. I also had some confusion with the final charge which was double what the email had said. It must have charged one night when I booked and the other 2 nights when I checked out but the original email said there would be two equal payments. Either way, the room and stay was great!

This is my first ever google review, but I felt I had to comment to warn people off of this place. My partner and I went to attend our friends wedding, and due to the self check in, the room was not available to us until 4pm so we could not even drop our bags off and head over to the ceremony. As we waited for 4pm to be able to open the door, the code would still not work. I called the help line a few times to no answer, when I finally got through to someone she said she would check in with the cleaning staff and call me back, which she never did. Thankfully a cleaning lady was walking by and opened the door for us around 4:10pm, only to find the room was still dirty! The bed slept in, dirty towels and wine glasses, truly awful. Sadly, we heard the people next door had the same experience as us. After missing the ceremony being 10 minutes late thanks to this, we returned that evening to a power outage in the building… Hopefully this review points you to a better place in the area. *edit* forgot to mention, we were woken up at the crack of dawn from the people above us, felt like we were in a cheap apt complex

The location was good and we enjoyed the room. It's set-up like a small apartment which was nice. Even has a full kitchen which made cooking our own breakfast possible! It also had a very comfortable bed. Only downside was we were on the middle floor and our neighbor above us spent a lot of time stomping around. The walls aren't fully soundproof so try to get a top floor room. Overall it was a very nice, comfortable stay.

We were a large group occupying four rooms, and the establishment was incredibly accommodating, comfortable, and reasonably priced for the area. Good beds, even the roll-out couch was fine, and plenty of clean linens (once you figure out the hotel's self-service system.) Restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance, and any time I had a question, management replied and helped. One evening our group was up a bit late, and the "gentle reminder" of the quiet policy was perfect. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Stayed 10 nights. Nice and quiet. Good value for what you get. Location is great. Plenty of restaurants to walk to. Only issue was the TV. Should have cable. Roku is good if you subscribe to different apps. If you don't have any you can't watch regular TV. Otherwise the Beverly is great

Very pleased with the Beverly Hotel. The room was clean and I liked having a kitchen for breakfast and lunch. The staff is friendly and I love the app they shared having all the information you need about the hotel and surrounding area. Nice touch - wish all hotels had this. In addition, we were traveling so that my son could attend a baseball camp at Endicott College, I was easily able to set up "an office" at the table space in the room and have a nice working area. WIN-WIN Overall, great find, location and space.

After a nightmare drive getting into the area, we arrived about an hour early. The housekeeper noticed us sitting in the car and asked what room we were in, she asked us to wait and came back a few minutes later and told us we could go check in. The room was in a basement level but had several small windows to let sunlight in, although we didn't spend much time there in the daytime anyway. Everything was very clean and looked well kept. The room had a separate kitchen area with a full size refrigerator, a range and a small table and chairs as well as dishes and a coffee maker. The bed was actually one of the more comfortable hotel beds I've slept in, there was also a chair and a loveseat in the bedroom and a closet with a laundry hamper and an ironing board and iron. They also have a closet out in the main hallway with extra linens and things if you need them. I was very happy with how close it was to the train station, just cross the road and it's behind the little plaza. There's a nice little diner and other places to shop within walking distance or a short drive up the street. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay and if I ever make it back to the area I would definitely stay here again. And I didn't get the housekeepers name but I feel like she made a great first impression by going out of her way to get us checked in a little early after a long and stressful drive.

Nice small apartment, near attractions for "going", comfortable for "staying." Kitchen is a plus, we went out for one meal a day. Easy to reheat left-overs! Customer service quickly responsive. (We needed help to connect to Hulu)

Really great little hotel! Close enough to everything we wanted to see in Salem, but also far enough outside of the city not to be in the swarm of tourists. Really liked the no contact experience and didn’t find that we lacked any customer service or amenities at all, despite no face to face interaction. Room was impeccably clean and well appointed. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying at the Beverly. not too far of a drive from Salem, which was nice. If we had issues or questions, the staff was readily available, via email. The space was nice, with the living area separated from the sleeping area. We definitely will stay here again when in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Beverly. There are many attractions in that part of Massachusetts and staying at the Beverly makes them all convenient to get to. The room is very clean with a pretty good kitchen and a Stop And Shop across the street. What it lacks in charm it makes up in amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

It was spacious, close to the train to get to Salem. It was nice to have an earlier check in. No breakfast but there was a big kitchen. The trash came by at 6a in the morning on a Monday. The bed was comfortable.

Conveniently located for what I needed that evening but I would say it was low quality in terms of price. Room was very plain with not much about it - kitchen didn't have coffee making facilities (or actual coffee for example), bathroom was very basic and not particularly well decorated, bed was rock solid but good size. Not much of a welcome either - self-serve (which was great for me but not really any service hence the 1*) and no water or anything similar in the room.

Stayed in October for Haunted Happenings weekend in Salem - about a 15 min residential streets drive away - super clean and easy parking. Spacious. Basic amenities included like towels, dish soap, coffee etc and the bedroom was very clean and comfy. Bathroom was spotless! Definitely recommend!

The Beverly was a definite tech based hotel. Never interacted with a person, which wasn't necessarily bad in our case. Note we got a basement apartment, which was uncharacteristically warm, and we had to run the ac on low. But all in all, it was a pretty good price for a good bed, an ok shower/tub, and the ability to cook and store snacks for our short trip. Would definitely come here again.

Very cute, clean room with kitchenette. Great location (20 minutes from Gloucester or Salem). The staff we connected with was very friendly and pleasant. Keyless entry and checkout was very convenient. We will plan to stay here again in the future!

Rented a room here for a few nights prior to me moving into my short term rental for work. If this place was cheaper for the amount of time I needed, I would definitely consider staying here. Only annoying thing would be the laundry, considering I work nights, but laundry is only available from 5 PM to 9 PM. Just a thing to consider for those staying longer. Check in was easy. They emailed me all the instructions and handbook. The place was clean and spacious. Plenty of towels and blankets if you need them. The kitchenette had some starter stuff to use if you cook (dish soap, sponge, salt, pepper, coffee supplies). I only used the kitchenette for simple stuff. They do have pots, pans, and utensils. Only downside is the knife. There's only one knife to use for cutting stuff and it's really dull (to the point where I had a really hard time cutting an apple). So if you plan to stay for a few weeks and plan to cook, you may have some difficulty. The location of the hotel is close to a few plazas with food options and grocery stores. It's also close to the train if you were to travel to Boston (which I did not). Plenty of parking available.

The Beverly is a great hotel. Checkin was so easy and when we arrived ahead of our check in time I sent a quick email and they graciously opened our door! No worries about keys, all doors have a keypad. We had a 1 bedroom apartment, equipped with a full working kitchen, separate bedroom with en-suite and a spacious living room with a pullout couch. There were 4 of us who came on motorcycles so we parked the bikes and used the train to travel back and forth to Salem and Boston! It was so handy, only a 2 minute walk from the Beverly! It was very Easy to find and close to many restaurants, shops, etc. It was such a wonderful place to stay I hope to come back again!

Arrived in the middle of the night. Everything self check. Main door had the same number as room. So spent a few minutes trying to get into the wrong room. Be sheets covered in long black hairs. Spare sheets look dirty. No one answers phone. Improvise. Did talk to rep who said "sorry, thanks for letting us know". Nothing for our inconvenience or disgust. Thus the bad review. Give me some concern. Some credit on my stay. Something... and I'd give better review.

Good value for the price! The suite was not luxurious, but it was comfortable, well-equipped, and immaculately clean. There was no wall-to-wall carpeting, which we appreciated. Customer service was excellent and accommodating. The “T” rail service was conveniently close by and provided easy access to Salem and North Station in Boston. We will definitely keep The Beverly in mind for our next visit to the area.

Just stayed for a night as we were visiting Salem for the day. The inside was clean and had everything we needed. It was nice to be able to get items on our own instead of having to call someone and then have to wait. It was a little noisy as you can hear people walking on the floor above the room. The really only con I have is any one can walk in from the outside. We had someone trying to access the room and made the door code beep at 12am thinking it was their room. But overall it was good for a night stay and would stay again if I am in the area.

This was a great little find for a couple day stay! Everyone in our party really enjoyed the self check-in and keyless entry rooms. Our studio king room was absolutely perfect for the two of us and the location made it easy to either eat out or stay in. Despite renting a car, we were really pleased to have the train station so close to get into Boston with less hassle! Would definitely chose The Beverly again, every time!

Took a quick road trip to visit family. We weren’t sure where we would end up, so at last minute when we were looking for places to stay late in the night we came across the Beverly. Booking a room over the phone was quick and easy. No need to even go to the front desk for a key since the key is a code. Price was great for what we got. The room exceeded expectations. Full kitchen, little table, very comfortable bed. Will definitely recommend and definitely book again!

I was visiting a daughter who lives 4 blocks away. These accommodations ( King bed , Suite ) were excellent for myself and friend. Quiet , spacious, affordable, & comfortable. We took advantage of also visiting Gloucester & Salem as well as Beverly. I was told it would be easy access to take train into Boston so will do that in the future! We stayed Room 14 upstairs- kitchen had every thing that we needed, bed comfortable.

The rooms were very clean. We truly enjoyed the full kitchen. The bed was clean and we had a great night's sleep. I wished I would have found this hotel earlier in our trip. We would have made this our base for our whole week. Do yourself a favor and stay here !

Clean. Comfortable. Quiet. Convenient to public transportation. Great price. I love having a full kitchen for long stays and a second room for when I travel with my husband. The management was super responsive to my questions and requests. I will be visiting Beverly often and plan to stay at The Beverly for all my future visits.

This is a great place to stay. Very clean, very roomy and close to a fabulous breakfast diner. There were a few minor issues but the staff responded immediately and bent over backwards to make things right. Also, if you price the two other places to stay in town, their price is very affordable.

I had a 4 night stay at The Beverly and found it to be an excellent experience. Checking in and checking out was easy. The rooms were clean and very functional. The use of available kitchen items along with a fully functional refrigerator was great. It's location is convenient to many eateries. I give The Beverly 5 out of 5 and highly recommend you stay here.

I rented this room, number 21, for a person I knew years ago who is pretty down and out. I ran into him Christmas Eve and he needed a place. I called The Beverly and it was quick and simple to find him a room for the night. I dropped him off and got him in there and the room was modern, clean, bright and very comfortable. Apparently he left the place as he found it as I hadn't received any negative phone calls. From my experience, this is a nice, clean, quiet place for a night or even longer term! Thanks for making it easy!

this “hotel” is a scam. It’s a MOTEL. The photos are completely edited to make it look brand new and renovated. The only thing renovated is the outside. We arrived there to find out that our room was located in a BASEMENT next to a boiler. Never in my life have I heard of a basement “hotel room” . All the rooms smell like mold and you cannot breathe in them. We woke up in the morning extremely congested and had dry throat. There was stains on the carpets and throw pillows smelt like mold. Overall this is a 1 out of 5 if you have absolutely no where else to stay. The way they marketed this was an absolute lie and they price gouged for Halloween weekend as if this was a 5 star hotel. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Appreciated the proximity to Salem. We booked our trip with only a few weeks of advance notice so were glad to find a spot that wasn’t ridiculous in price. The white noise machine was a nice touch and having free parking was good. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find mold on the shower curtain and in the shower area and the smell of chemicals from the cleaning products was so overwhelming it almost made me sick. The size was great but it felt like they only half updated the place. Not awful but also not impressed.

Very clean and comfortable, close to a couple great restaurants (Depot Diner & Nick's). Very welcoming. I'd recommend a lower level room if you have lots of luggage. The apartment-size kitchen would make it great for a long stay. Only change I wish is for larger TVs

  • 5/5 NIC 1 year ago on Google
We enjoyed our stay at The Beverly. It was much closer to Salem than realized and the ease of getting there and back was easy. Check in was no hassle - keyless entry was easy especially coming back late at night and tired. The room was spacious and beds were comfort. You actually get a real comfortable comforter and the sheets were nice-everything was very clean. The grounds were neat as well as the overall appearance of the hotel. I would highly recommend and would stay here again.
