We stayed at the Mulberry cottage for 2 nights. It was very clean, we had plenty of towels available which is great as we used several times the Japanese tub and the jetted tub. It was very relaxing soaking in these tubs. The area is very quiet. We enjoyed the first breakfast, the cookies and the peach cake in teatime. The staff is very friendly and professional. We went to Betterton beach and we had a sunset cruise with Blue Crab sailing charters. We really enjoyed our trips. The spa products are so good that we decided to buy some. Our second breakfast was disappointing we asked no bacon but they put some. We had to wait about 20 more minutes but then the potatoes were missing. And each time my hot chocolate was almost cold. I also think the rooms rates are a bit pricey but we have no regrets we spent a great time there.

We booked the Mulberry Cottage for 2 nights to celebrate our 1-year anniversary! I could write a short story about what a wonderful time my husband and I had while staying at the Brampton Inn, but I will try to keep it short! Melissa is an amazing innkeeper, she does it all! Maryannick was delightful during breakfast our first morning and just so very hospitable. Jeff does an amazing job keeping the landscaping spectacular. We had a couples massage with Ruthann and Cecilia, such a treat! Then we settled in for a steam shower and a dip in the Japanese soaking tub before heading out to a delicious dinner at The Kitchen in town. If I had to have favorite amenities, they would be the outside shower, tea on the wrap around porch and the chefs' homemade marshmallows! I cannot wait to get back to this little slice of heaven!

Brampton Inn is a delightful B&B. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed every moment. Literally everyone on the team we encountered were amazing and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and they were so kind at making sure to accommodate our vegetarian/gluten free needs. We stayed at the Russel cottage which has a wood burning stove/fireplace which was an amazing addition to a lovely property. We would love to come back one day!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Brampton Inn. The staff was courteous and the inn itself is charming, and comfortable. We stayed in the Poppy Room and the Blue Room. Both rooms were very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was delicious and plenty every morning and served by the kindest woman (I'm sorry I didn't get her name). We contacted the Inn prior to our arrival and arranged for a couples massage in the room by Margorie. One of the best massages. Our stay exceeded our expectations, we will certainly return. Chestertown is charming with plenty to do.

We arrived at tea time and were greeted by a friendly staff member who gave us our key.On previous occasions we had stayed in all of the rooms at the Brampton and this time we choose Marly’s cottage separate from the inn.It was a luxurious accommodation with a spacious bathroom with jacuzzi and jetted shower with steam. A fire was set each evening so all you had to do was light it.The king size bed was comfy. Back at the inn tea time with goodies were available.Christmas music by Michael on the keyboards was so relaxing.Cookies, tea and coffee are available throughout the day. Gourmet breakfast is served each morning. You have a selection of delicious entrees. All of the staff are attentive to your needs and are so friendly The owners have pulled out all the stops decorating the Brampton and making it a place to enjoy and return to. Sincerely Joe and Gwen

My husband and I visit the Brampton Inn about every six months for an escape from our busy, hectic lives. We found the inn during the pandemic and keep coming back because we love our time there so much. We stay in Marley's Cottage each time which is such a special spot. In the summer, we enjoy sitting on the front porch often eating their delicious breakfast (that is delivered each morning right to the cottage!) on the table there. The outdoor Japanese soaking tub is a spot I absolutely love and is fabulous in both the summer and winter. During our recent winter visit, we enjoyed having dinner by our fire which is built by the innkeepers each day. It just doesn't get much better than this. We appreciate the seclusion this cottage provides but know that the innkeepers are just a short walk away should we need anything during our stay. Be on the lookout for their outdoor kitties, Poppy and Squeaky. We look forward to seeing them when we visit. Already counting the days until our visit in August!

My husband and I wanted to relax for our anniversary for a few days without traveling too far from our home. The Brampton was exactly what we were looking for. When we arrived we were greeted and shown around the main house and provided with information about the property, our cottage and the area. We stayed in the Sunrise cottage which was spacious clean and cozy with a beautiful garden right outside our door. We had a small problem with the AC dripping a little water on arrival which they responded to immediately. They offered to move us to another cottage and discount our bill. We decided to go for supper while they looked at it and they had it repaired before we finished our meal. The bed, linen’s, towels furniture all comfortable and plenty were provided. Lots of quiet paths to walk and enjoy the scenery. Lovely breakfasts delivered everyday to our cottage. The owners and staff were all pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed everyday. Totally enjoyed. Thank you so much. Hope we make it back again some day. Matt & Annie V

We could not have asked for a better experience . . . the staff was warm and attentive, the grounds lovely, the room (Poppy's Retreat) quiet and comfortable--the bed mattress was superb. Breakfast was delicious and substantial . . . I don't know what else to say. We are so glad we stayed here and recommend it highly. (One thing to add, actually: Do know that historic Chestertown is a quiet place, meaning that most restaurants are closed on Sunday evenings and even on Mondays. We drove over to Rock Hall--15 minutes or so--for some very nice seafood). Again, we had a wonderful stay at Brampton.

Very friendly, helpful staff, beautiful location and grounds. The leaves were still very colorful and the grounds were well manicured. The numerous gardens must be beautiful in the spring and summer. Loved the tall ceilings, wood floors and fireplaces. The included breakfast choice was wonderful and also fresh fruit and baked goods. Cookies, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh water and muffins were available all day and evening as well as 4 o'clock tea. Wonderful sunroom and outside patios with gas fireplace. We had a wonderful stay in this stately manor. Very close to town yet you feel as though you are in the countryside.

Excellent B&B! Friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast & homemade cookies and snack available 24 hrs/day. Coffee, tea, wine & Bartesian cocktail are available. Lots of free parking. The entire house & grounds are decked out with holiday lights making it very festive. I certainly plan on a return visit!

We visited the Brampton Inn for two nights earlier this week and stayed in Marley's Cottage. The cottage was well appointed and perfect for our romantic getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and afternoon tea (both included) that were delivered to us each day, and we loved sitting by our fireplace in the evenings. Dave, Hilari, and the entire team were very kind and welcoming, and we will definitely visit again sometime.

We have stayed at the Brampton Inn for our Anniversary the past 3 years. We always love it. Rooms are great and always very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful with coffee and cookies always available (which is sometimes too tempting). Close to Chestertown and all the great shops and restaurants there. Plus if you love animals their outdoor cats are always around. We love seeing Squeaky and Poppy.

All I can say is WOW! The Brampton Inn is amazing. The grounds are beautiful. The inn is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the Fairy Hill Sweet and it was incredible. The only downfall was it wasn't fireplace season yet. I purchased a romantic getaway package that included lunch the second day as well as dinner with wine the second night. Plus staying in a suite or cottage gets breakfast delivered to your room. All of the food was absolutely delicious and I believe was locally sourced. Tea time everyday was great with delicious cookies, homemade marshmallows for hot chocolate, delicious crumb apple pie, and awesome buffalo chicken dip. The staff were all incredible, welcoming and polite. I purchased a 90 minute couples massage as well and it was done in our suite. The massage package was incredible and very relaxing. Overall this was a great weekend getaway and we cannot wait to go back again. P.S. my wife told me I had to say it reminded her of the show Gilmore Girls. I'm sure some will understand the reference.

Brampton Inn was beautiful! We stayed in Poppy's Retreat, which felt nice and private. Breakfast was by far our favorite out of the 4 we've visited so far. Taste, portion and options were fabulous! Staff was super friendly! Only 2 complaints is the fact that they didn't have cable. Might not matter to most, but it's football season. We don't frequent bars so that wasn't an option. Luckily, we found our own way to stream it. Second, when I made my reservation I left a message with a staff member and sent an email regarding a special. I was told someone would reach out, but I never heard back.

The Brampton Inn is a great find in Chestertown, MD. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the historic inn is set on a large property with well-done gardens. The service was also top-notch, well above most Bed and Breakfasts. Don’t miss their breakfast, it’s delicious! It’s a great place to relax and unwind for a few days.

Everyone we met made our mini vacation perfect. Very pleasant and willing to take time to speak with us to answer any questions. Our room, Emory Suite had a separate sitting area which was quite nice. In cooler weather we would have enjoyed using the fireplace. Very relaxing stay. We will come back again.

My husband and I stayed here in July for our wedding anniversary and we had a fabulous experience. Not only was the Robin’s Nest very clean, comfortable, and exactly what was advertised, the surrounding property was beautiful and the staff were friendly. The grounds are amazing, with a wrap-around porch, walking trail and gardens. The owners greeted us upon arrival, and the breakfast staff provided outstanding food choices and service. Homemade cookies and snacks are available around the clock and they hosted tea time from 4-5 PM. I was very surprised to see the one-star review about the Robin’s Nest, as our experience was completely different. The Brampton website discloses exactly what you will get and should expect from your stay in the separate cottage. We are looking forward to returning when the weather is cooler, so we can take advantage of the woodstove and outdoor fire pit.

We really enjoyed our time at the Brampton Inn. Everyone was so accommodating and nice. Our room was absolutely perfect! We stayed in the Fairy Hill Suite with our two young adult children. We are definitely looking forward to staying again in the future.

Very relaxing and pleasant. They had everything we could want or need. We stayed in Poppy's Retreat, which was the cheapest room listed but it was still very nice. The shower has jets for two people. The stairs are steep and narrow in that room only. Food was great. Everything in excellent condition. I would like to return.

The Brampton is a wonderful escape to a beautiful estate and cozy accommodations. My wife and I enjoyed the serenity and service provided by the inn as we stayed in the Fairy Hill suite of the manor house. The daily breakfast options were fantastic and farm fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed but otherwise would let you be. Location is an easy drive into Chestertown or down to Rock Hall for quick trips (many other sight seeing options available if looking to see more around the area).

My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing stay at the Brampton Inn. We enjoyed a delicious, freshly-cooked breakfast each morning. Afternoon tea was also scrumptious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The inn, its gardens and the natural beauty of the surroundings offer a private and countryside ambiance that ensure total relaxation. We were star-gazing the first night while sitting by the fire pit. We sampled some blackberries from the little garden in front of our cottage- that was such a treat. We had a totally enjoyable experience and highly recommend a visit to this inn.

We are local and chose Brampton Inn. We had our wedding there and then enjoyed 3 more days as a guest in one of their cottages. The grounds are amazing. We know it's right around the corner and we will be back! Absolutely recommend this gem

The accommodations were wonderful. The food fabulous. The views and overall landscape and atmosphere were exceptional. The whole staff made you feel as if you had been long time friends. The trails on the property made for a calming and soothing walk.

I stayed at the Brampton a month ago(May 2023), for the first time. Staying mid-week was convenient in price, room availability(I was able to book last minute), and less guests. As a mom just getting away for an overnight, Brampton and Chestertown had everything I could have asked for! Visited the town before check-in which was good because a lot of little shops close around 5. Check-in was very informative. They have a communal fridge and freezer if you need it, water to refill your byo water bottle, and cookies/biscotti/beverages in the dining area at all times. All of the food was delicious and I felt so at home. Gas fire place, walking trail, and the beautiful grounds ensure that you can enjoy yourself without even leaving the estate! It was so nice meeting other people around the fire pit and the 5 other people I met were all repeat guests which I think says a lot! I stayed in the Yellow room which had a nice jetted tub. I will absolutely be returning with my husband in tow. Thank you for the lovely recharge.

We had such a relaxing weekend! The Inn and grounds are lovely. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast is bountiful, tasty and beautiful to look at. Lovely music, champagne and tasty treats during tea. We will be returning for sure!

The landscaping was beautiful. There were very clearly marked walking paths that made for a good afternoon activity. The town is quiet and a good place to escape to for a weekend getaway. We stayed in the mulberry cottage and were pleased by the semi-private parking and the privacy once in the cabin. The staff was respectful of this privacy and came on a rigid schedule. I would recommend this place for a couple look to have a quiet and romantic trip.

Beautiful historic inn near quaint Chestertown MD. The surrounding grounds/landscaping beds are lovely and well tended to. The owners and staff are attentive to every need of their guests. The cleanliness of the inn and cottages is exceptional. The morning breakfasts are delicious and having options was truly appreciated. Brampton Inn is one of the best B&B experiences we have ever had.

My wife and I spent a weekend at The Brampton Inn and loved it. We stayed in the Sunset Garden Cottage, which was spacious and clean. Breakfast was great and the afternoon tea (one day with a pianist) was a treat. My wife had a massage, which she said might have been the best he had ever had. The only thing that could have been better was the weather, but inn doesn't control that!

My wife and I stayed at The Brampton Inn for three nights to celebrate our 10 year anniversary (June 2023). We stayed in Marley’s cottage - one of two private cottages offered. Upon opening the door of the rustic red barn for our private parking space (electric charging stations also offered), we felt immediately transported to our own private slice of heaven. The cottage had a quaint and modern design, with its natural wood architecture coupled with state of the bath amenities. We began our days swinging on the front porch swing while waiting for our custom breakfast to be delivered to our front porch cafe table. Following breakfast we could make a quick trip into historic Chestertown for fine dining at the Watershed or more causal fare at the Retriever Bar (best oysters out!) or venture to Rock Hall for a more upbeat casual vibe. To unwind in the evening we’d return to our cottage for a soak in the Japanese soaking tub, or swing in the hammock to the sounds of nature. To maximize our relaxation, we had a couples massage right in our cottage. Marjorie and Ruth-Ann did not disappoint, and the steam shower was the perfect post-massage amenity! Be sure to attend Tea Time every afternoon from 4-5pm for homemade treats including cookies and pastries. Tea Time is also a great opportunity to meet the wonderful owner Dave, who shared with us his dedication to restoring the historic beauty of the main house. We had a truly unforgettable experience at The Brampton Inn and will definitely be coming back to reconnect and recharge.

Stunning arrangements, and guest services. Well worth taking a break and stopping to enjoy the property. The staff was very accommodating, and really had a nice touch with bringing the whole place together. We actually felt at home and can't wait to find ourselves at the Brampton again!

The Brampton Inn was a wonderful experience! My boyfriend surprised me with a night here for my birthday. The grounds were beautiful to walk around even in the snow. The food was delicious and the staff were very warm and welcoming. We stayed in the Yellow Room and it was very cheerful and cozy for a cold winter night!

Brampton is by far the most elegant B&B! The cottages are cozy with the fireplace and amenities. The attention to detail and presentation of the breakfast is amazing. And of course so delicious. I can't forget about the yummy afternoon treats! We have stayed at the Inn twice for our anniversary and each time has been memorable in its own way. It offers true peace and serenity!!

We love the Brampton Inn! It has become the gold standard by which we measure all other B&B experiences. The period building is charming and the expansive property is very well kept. The breakfasts are sumptuous, and have ruined us for staying anywhere else. We've enjoyed day trips to Mount Harmon Plantation, the Adkins Arboretum, as well as doing a historic walking tour of Chestertown, but it is also nice to just hang around on the property.

My partner and I recently visited for a few nights to celebrate a birthday. We had the Fairy Hill Suite and we absolutely loved it. We were looking for a cozy spot to get away and we certainly found it. The food was very good, especially the breakfasts! The hospitality was stellar. There are so many little things that just made the stay great. For example the provided blanket that Sgt. Pepper von Truffle is sitting on while we enjoyed the snow starting to fall. The fireplace was definitely one of the highlights of the weekend, the Brampton made it very easy. Thank you!
