A 25-foot high by 75-foot wide acrylic paint mural created by popular Venice Beach artist Levi Ponce and sponsored by The Paradise Project. It depicts the following notable persons: (Top left to right) Albert Einstein, Alan Watts, Baruch Spinoza, Terence McKenna, Carl Jung, Carl Sagan, Emily Dickinson, Nikola Tesla. (Bottom let to right) Friedrich Nietzsche, Ralph Waldo Emerson, W.E.B. Du Bois, Henry David Thoreau, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Rumi, Adi Shankara, and Lao Tzu.

I appreciate the street art in Venice! On the way to the beach.

Five stars for terrace mckenna. I suppose if you're going to leave gigantic artwork around, it might as well be in a well-lit, easily accessible boulevard. Cheaper than buying your own.

The subtle questioning of foundational concepts like "zero", "origin", and "center" have long been the key to successful characterization of physical systems. Galileo regarding the earth's relation to the firmament, Einstein regarding any specific position under the constraint that the speed of light is observed to be limited. Using words like "God" in such descriptions places a grave constraint on their reach, and with humans being fundamentally "explainers" a great deal of strife befalls those who perceive themselves as being in the worlds described by theistic religions, since it is hopelessly tempting and straightforward to write-off specific phenomena.
