Truly and utterly disturbed by the video that I watched of Professor Abrams being so incredibly disrespectful to a woman that has a hearing disability. His behavior is unacceptable. Being a teacher means being able to respectfully provide tools and teach every single individual no matter their impairments or disabilities. What I just witnessed was a low level human being who shouldn’t even be a teacher at all. The fact that he is still on “leave,” is astonishing to me. This should result in termination as he enjoyed saying “period.” That young lady was basically accosted in front of her classmates and it’s a miracle that she was able to keep her cool and continue the class.

Michael Abram is a terrible Professor . Extremely rude and disrespectful. He is the reason me and my sisters , our cousins , and all our friends will now be attending other colleges . He has discriminated against a girl that is hard of hearing and attacked her for no reason what so ever . He is extremely disrespectful and needs to be fired right away .

As the son, of a mother who was hard of hearing, Professor Michael Abram's attitude and comments are absolutely, unequivocally unacceptable! My mother, a single hard of hearing mother, did her best to provide for my brother and I. I can't begin to tell you the hurt that she felt and the hurt that we felt for her, when simple things, such as ordering a pizza over the phone, were met by ridicule, laughter and and total disregard. If you choose to retain him, you (Oxnard College), would therefore, show that you condone such hurtfulness and discrimination. Regardless of race, religion or disability, we all deserve to be afforded the same opportunities. Show the world, that these are not the principles, by which you operate.

I had a good time while attending there for one semester. The campus is small, but they make an effort to make it look like nice and give students ways to entertain themselves, like the Game Room. I wish the student-body was bigger and more diverse, but knowing it's in a non-highly-populated area, it isn't the school's fault. Still, I leave it with only good memories.

The staff and students here are amazing always able to connect and fit right in, plus the staff helps out so much in anyones needs to further your education

I am ecstatic to have found This gem. Jasmine and the people running the Oxnard College Dental Program are so wonderful and compassionate. Jasmine has been a fantastic and caring young lady who is helping me out of her own pocket because I'm financially unable to pay for the services. If you want to see a Dentist but have limited means, call them. It's helped me!

Took a few courses here as a high school student. Faculty members are very friendly, but classrooms can seem very bland. Still enjoyed the courses I took here though. Would do it again!

Great school, has caring professors

I had a okay semester here, most of my teachers were nice but you will get a not so nice one every now and then, the counselors are amazing and helpful, the people at the front desk are nice and im also glad that there's a foster youth center here.
