Joey in University Village is an American style restaurant with a vast inside. They have a pretty large menu of pasta, sandwiches, seafood and steak. Their staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations. They have a good amount of seating inside, although its always a struggle trying to actually get seated. If you call and they say there's plenty of room, expect to wait 15 minutes once you arrive. They do get extremely busy for dinner, so prepare for a very long wait. There is parking in the garage on the other side of the restaurant which is probably the closest place. Their steak is fantastic, pasta cooked very well, and lettuce wraps are delicious. They have individual bathrooms, without changing tables, so parents plan ahead of time.

We have come here a few times now and every time has been great. Good food, good service, and great atmosphere, especially if you sit on the patio. They offer you complementary champagne while you wait for a table, which was delicious and a nice surprise. This place is a little pricey but on par for a typical Seattle restaurant. The drinks were good too. We ordered a tofu bowl, poke bowl, sushi cone (sushi hand roll), peach bellini, and sangria. They allow dogs on the patio which is nice. We'll definitely come back.

My partner and I haven't been back to Joey's for awhile. Our most recent visit did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience of the restaurant. Rotem, our server did a wonderful job!

Phenomenal multi ethnicity dining. We ate there in early July in the enclosed but outdoor setting in the evening and it was gorgeous. Top Notch service. Five people and everybody's dinner was perfect and Beyond delicious. Gluten-free options for me even dessert. I dined with my 8 pound Chihuahua cuddled up in my lap. Highly suggest this fantastic restaurant. You will make memories here.

I feel Joey’s used to rate a 5 star, but I believe they have suffered a bit with Covid. They still make good food and drinks, especially their margaritas. We had their dumplings which are always well made and flavorful. I had a burger and it was still juicy and tasty. My wife had street tacos and were also well done.

The food is amazing. Think Cheesecake Factory, but well executed. I especially loved the Cobb salad. Everything else is very average. The tables are clean enough, but could use a deep scrub. The bathrooms are kept in decent condition. The attentiveness of the staff is also hit or miss. None of it takes away from the experience though.

Easy location with free parking. Started with their signature cocktails and weren't disappointed, next came appetizers which we selected as the dumplings, BTW great choice! Main entreee we did three filet mignon's and a lobster ravioli. Everyone with steak was happy, my ravioli was pretty good. Service was up to par. Nice place, and the family was happy too.

I really wanted to love this place. I mean any place that gives you champagne while you wait for a reservation has to be great, right? Unfortunately, the extremely slow service and never being asked if we want another beverage are star offensives in my opinion, especially because the overall cost of the experience is high for what you are getting. That being said, the food was great, just not great enough to make it worth the hour long wait for our meals. They did reduce our overall tab, which was nice. Maybe a lunch service would be better.

Used to be the best place to eat in University Village. Good is still good but not as good as it used to be and prices are sky high like most other places! I don't mind paying a bit more especially if the service is good but unfortunately the service was slow and we were always having to call someone over. For these prices, I do expect better service so come on Joey's I know you fix it 👍

Food was good overall but it was very expensive. Atmosphere is amazing, really good for a fancy dinner with friends. Desserts felt better value and were very tasty. We got several types of steak - they were all good but nothing particularly special. Good place for special events once in a while!

This has been one of my favorite 5 star restaurants for years and this most recent visit was just so bad. Food came out burnt and unedible, the $8.25 appetizer order of fries was a half cup, that service was extremely poor, nice but very inattentive. I had to flag our server down after waiting a while for everything including the coffee we ordered. They did remove the coffee and “extra” unbury chicken tenders from the bill but it was a really negative unpleasant experience

The most overpriced restaurant I have been eaten! This sad bowl of Tuna poke costs $24.50 with 8 small pieces of tuna cubes… The slaw is skimming to none. Rice has zero coconut flavor. Tastes like nothing. The worst $27 lunch I had spent.

Such a lovely dinner atmosphere! A great place to bring friends or family from out of town to show them Seattle. We had the lettuce wraps and the cod. Both were great. Close to the UW campus and easy parking. Olivia and Ashley were amazing servers. They were so attentive and offered great menu advice. So many great options it was hard to choose!

I went to Joey to meet a friend for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by many things, from the complementary champagne upon entry to the food. I recommend reservations as it made the procession to our table a far more pleasing experience. We were immediately greeted and seated after our names were confirmed. The menus are the perfect length; they have an array of appetizers, meats, and proteins to select from to ensure you find the perfect pairing. The cocktails, while more expensive, are absolutely delicious- for those who don't imbibe, a mocktail is also an incredible option. I had the Joey Martini(dirty) with three stuffed olives and Grey Goose vodka; WOW! It is the best martini I've had in Seattle- granted, it cost nearly $30. The plates are gorgeously arranged. I ordered the flank steak with seared salmon, while my friend had the tikka masala. The flavors are absolutely on-point and exceeded all expectations. The seared salmon had a sugary crisp on top, which paired well with the medium-rare beef, which was also perfectly cooked. We ended up without a desert, but I look forward to trying it in the future. If I had to make a gripe about anything, it would be that the music is too loud and the prices are too high for the seven-ounce flank steak, but given a confluence of factors, I understand. Joey may not provide anything new to American dining, but they do a great job giving a creative flair to classic plates.

Emily took the best care of our group. So thoughtful and engaging with the whole party. Was so considerate to members of our group with different nutrition requirements and just made the best experience for everyone. Can't wait to come back again! Also, my go to location for wine Wednesday. I'll be back very soon!

I absolutely love coming to this Joeys, specially because of the service and atmosphere. Our server Tomas was super helpful, attentive and friendly. Their attentiveness and friendliness truly elevated the entire dining experience. From the moment we sat down, they made us feel welcome and valued. Their knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our meal. What stood out the most was their ability to anticipate our needs without being intrusive. They ensured our glasses were always filled and were quick to address any requests or questions we had. It's rare to find a server who strikes the perfect balance between being attentive and respectful of your space, but this server managed it with ease. Their warm and genuine personality added a delightful personal touch to our dining experience. We left Joey's not only satisfied with the delicious food but also with a sense of appreciation for the exceptional service we received. Tomas truly made our visit memorable, and I look forward to returning to Joey's knowing that such outstanding service is part of the experience. Thank you to this remarkable server for making our evening so enjoyable.

This place has the perfect vibe for parties, friends end family to spend quality time. Liked the food, was good, flavorful but not up to the mark. The wings had burnt flavor to it, the tofu bowl was a bit bland.

This place was great! No complaints..just the price but honestly it’s worth it. The salmon was really good moist, seasoned very well and same with the sides it came with. The peas, mashed potatoes were so good and flavorful. But to be honest the appetizers are where it’s at! The Korean fried cauliflower was so good I could just eat that. The truffle fries were A1 too just kinda typical though. Service was really good too, everyone was very nice and worth a good tip. Tip well people!

Decided to try out Joey for the 1st time after years of just strolling by. Was celebrating a milestone, arrived a few minutes early for my reservation & they had my table ready. Very friendly staff! They were attentive to my needs -not that I had much- during my patronage & didn't hover too much.Their check-ins were spaced out enough that I could enjoy dinner without interruption every few minutes, which was refreshing. Only minor 'qualm' was the area I was seated was a bit too warm! I know it's winter, but the heating source felt a bit too close that one side of my table top was hot to the touch.Otherwise, overall good experience worth the price!

    • S T E L L A R • The food here is an experience, you can literally taste the skill and talent that goes into each dish. Drinks were just right, not too strong. The ambience, upbeat. Erica was our guide this evening on our journey into taste. She landed on what I would say is the perfect replacement (salmon ravioli) to replace the original shrimp. Overall, a great service experience, a wonderful night for the tastebuds, and well worth every penny. Grab a reservation and prepare yourself for an unforgettable evening! (2 minutes into writing this review she brought us a hand crafted cocktail collaboration that she had literally just created.) STELLAR!

This place was amazing. Our server Erika was awesome she took really great care of us. We came in after a long day at work and it was perfect to sit, eat and wind down. We got our drinks and food right away. The food was amazing. I loved my sushi cone and I would come back for it everyday. Our table was a little wild but our server seemed great and handle everything. She laughed with us and also had fun with us. It was a great night. I would recommend this place for the services and the great atmosphere.

The sauce they served with the truffle fries taste like tartar sauce. I asked the server for some with my meal. The sauce they gave me was tartar, but different than the one that came with the truffle fries. I did not like this sauce as much. If your a tartar sauce fan like me, ask for the one that comes with the truffle fries.

Ambience is great with lots of screens in bar area to watch your favorite teams. We had to wait for about 30 mins to get a table on a Saturday night. Wait staff is attentive and nice. It took another 30 to 40 minutes to get our food order. They are open till late. I would go back again for a fun night out with friends.

We visited Joey’s on a recent trip to Seattle. This was my favorite restaurant of our vacation. I tried the Poke Bowl and it was one of the best I’ve ever tried. The staff was friendly and the environment was upbeat and trendy. I would highly recommend.

During a layover in Seattle, I decided to eat here. It was only me having lunch and I had my carry on backpack with me. Although the atmosphere is upscale, they maintain a welcoming environment and I never felt too casual although I was nervous I was. The host gave me a window booth to myself so I was comfortable and asked me about myself which was super inviting and genuine! My server Kina was kind and made my experience super comfortable! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and even gave me examples of the steak sizes! These little gestures and details in my opinion make a great server! Thank you so much Kina!

Luke was amazing start to finish. We were greeted by him at the door and offered complementary champagne. This was my first time so it was a welcome surprise. I came to celebrate with my partner and Luke made the experience memorable from start to finish. Checking out was easy with his tablet and we didn’t have to wait on anything. Water nor drinks ever got empty and the table was cleared of plates almost as soon as they were finished

How does it get better than this?! My fiance and I came in to enjoy dinner after a long day of wedding planning and the entire JOEY staff was so kind and celebratory. Our waitress Izzy was so kind and friendly, and even surprised us with The Butter Cake (100% recommend) to celebrate us!! Food - amazing as ever. I loved the chicken lettuce wraps. Simply put - 10/10 experience and so grateful we chose to dine here.

Had a great night at Joey’s in U Village tonight. Sat at the bar and had great service from Audrey, Claire, Steve, Sierra and Autumn. Prompt, friendly service and great food. I appreciate how quickly Autumn greeted me, got me a drink and the genuine interest she showed in how I was doing and how my holidays were going. She took my food order and made sure I didn’t have to wait to long for it. And she followed up to refresh my drinks and get additional food ordered. How nice to be somewhere that every single person at the bar is treated with such kindness and great service!
