This is a nice cozy brunch place. The food was good. We took a French toast and Egg Omlette. The service was a bit slow but the food was decent. This place had a very NY vibe. The unlimited coffee was good.the fries are crispy but are very oily.

Another quaint restaurant along the charming West Village W 4th Street where you can eat outside here on a nice day and soak up the ideal "small town in the Big Apple" atmosphere. The food and service are great, though you'd better be ready to pay the village tax in return. If you're used to New York restaurant prices, it's your typical West Village increase, but if you're not used to paying $26 for a salad, you might look elsewhere. Really enjoyed our time here and hope to visit the other restaurants along the path to find our favorite, but this one is up toward the top so far!

Everything expected about an iconic NYC cafe is at Cafe Cluny. It is in a lovely picturesque location and offers a lovely dining experience. My friend and I were there on a Monday morning and the vibe was very mellow and excellent. The cafe is extremely orderly and READY upon arrival. The smooth operating service leads to a great meal. The egg white omelettes were likely the best ones we’ve ever had… both visually and taste wise. Perfectly cooked as requested, and fluffy, firm, and delicious. Delicious coffee, and comfortable seating that is not crowded together, but placed just right. Love, love, love this place. Very enjoyable. A great touch to see the staff’s chic outfits and extreme professionalism.

The cluny burger vs. Tuna burger Clooney burger my friend had the patty well done so it was not so juicy On the other hand, tuna burger was very juicy and very, very soft There was a lot of flavor. It was savory than the cluny burger Fries was kind of disappointing because on top it looks like couple long fries, but after that, it’s all just crumbs Leftover collection of fries

I like Cafe Clunys menu, there's something for everyone. One of the best burgers we've had and their fries are so tasty and not salty at all. Many places make their fries too salty. Addicted to their Chipotle mayo we always ask for extra. I Also love how they make their breakfast potatoes. The staff are super friendly always checking in and just very cute.

Very quaint french café in the adorable west village. The atmosphere and outdoor seating is quite nice, and the staff is very professional and attentive. Unfortunately the food was horribly disappointing and severely overpriced. I had the tomato soup with grilled cheese - both lacked flavour and seasoning. Just plain boring. The cappuccino was watered down. Soup, sandwich, coffee , and tip was $60. I have no idea how this restaurant has the reputation that it does. Skip.

One of my favorites. Adorable charming cafe In the West village. Nice lunch menu and cocktails. I have been going for some time now. Friends were visiting from San Francisco and they love going to Cafe Cluny. Shout out to Mary Grace for warm and friendly service, certainly added to the charm of the place.

“How So?” The perfect hair manager replied, when we asked him to change the aperitif, as the drink wasn’t taste right. Then a male server asked me 5 times to repeat my choice, then again when I ordered the second course, as if I had spoken to him in Spanish. Luckily I had a very sweet lady server, she made us a cup of hot tea and a cappuccino with our pie. Maybe it was Thanksgiving, the main dishes were a total surprise. I hope it would be a better experience next time.

I had dinner with a friend and because I requested a quieter table we were seated outside. The inside was quite charming but also quite loud. The outside seating area was somewhat overheated, and as it turns out there were several loud parties next to us so conversation was a bit harder than I’d expected. The food was good but not that memorable. I wasn’t as happy with the experience as I expected to be, given all of the glowing reviews online.

My wife, daughter and I have been coming to Cafe Cluny many times usually for Sunday brunch but this time we came for dinner. It has always been great food in a cozy atmosphere. This time was no different. We all enjoyed ourselves. I had the swordfish which was perfectly prepared which is hard to do. I was apprehensive about getting it since many places don't do it right. Swordfish done properly is delicious.

I don’t leave negative reviews often… but Cluny was disappointing:( I ordered onion soup which was Ok, nothing spectacular. But their burger was the driest and tasteless I’ve ever had. I regretted I didn’t get the same thing from a way cheaper place. Also, in their menu burger comes with fries or salad. But when I got my bill…they tried to charge fries separately as a side dish… no comments. There were a way too many waiters that they just kept staying next to your table waiting to pick up your dishes.. Definitely won’t be back!

I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this delicious restaurant! The food portion size and quality were just perfect! When we sat down, we were told that we can have our table for 1.5 hours, but nothing felt rushed. The cocktails were very small.

Quite disappointing. We drove an hour and a half to meet family for dinner (530pm). We didn't sit for 5 minutes and we're already asked twice if we were ready to order. The server was friendly and thorough as some of us had allergies (hence the 3 stars) . The food came out incredibly fast which was surprising. They gave us the appetizer and the meal together. Considering your charging $18 for a bowl of French onion soup at least let us enjoy it (it was good). Not even 20 minutes later they were already trying to clear off our dishes and giving us desert menus. We were starting to feel very rushed at this point. Less than 5 min the server asked again if we wanted dessert which at this time I got annoyed. It was obvious that they were trying to get us to leave because people were waiting for tables. We weren't even there for an hour. We ended up leaving because we started to feel so uncomfortable and obviously they were waiting for us to leave because they gave us the check without us even asking for it. The food was OK at most. If we were Lolly lagging for a couple of hours I would understand but it was literally less than an hour. Shame it was not cheap.

Chicken dumpling was quite new to me, it was so great. And the salmon was exceptional! Too tasty to cry a bit lol

Great service. Nice location to sit outside. Food was all nice, small-ish portions. Chicken dumplings are unique. Zucchini fries always nice.

The food was excellent! Very fresh ingredients. Our table got the lox plate (highly recommend), omelettes, avocado toasts, and the burger. Definitely recommend this place!

Haven’t been at this place for a good minute. We just came from an open house for my daughter’s high school - Notre Dame and we walked about 3 mins to this restaurant. It’s as great as I remembered it, amazing food, terrific service and good service. One of the West Village’s restaurant gems.

NYT Picks does not miss on this one. Small French restaurant with veggie options and American options for those who go just to say they “went to a French restaurant”. Took parents to dinner here, very cozy, a bit tight on space, but 100% worth it. We started with the Buffalo chicken dumplings, I would’ve eaten 50 of these if they were $18 for 6. Ordered the Faroe Islands Salmon with polenta, buerre rouge, and some broccoli rabe. Salmon was crispy on top and very savory, you could taste the citrus and spices in every bite. Polenta was mashed and was super rich and paired perfectly with the fish. The rabe made the color combo look nice, a bit undercooked. Dad had the Canard Confit, this tasted better than many I’ve eaten in France. Mom ordered the omelette, super high quality ingredients and worth every penny. Like NYC restaurants we did have the usual: young rich annoying non native Manhattaners discussing which family beach house they should visit, but hey it’s NYC amirite? Highly recommend. Oh yea, also got the molten chocolate cake, absolutely slaps.

Had a very nice lunch inside the lovely outdoor dining area they built in the former street parking area. It was raining and chilly but they turned on heaters and we were very cozy. Inside space is tiny and cute. Reservations recommended. Both of us had the rice bowl dish so the review is based on this excellent dish and service. Everything came out promptly and as ordered. Added a poached egg and the dish had a nice flavor with just the right amount of spice.

What an absolute gem of a place in NY!Y sister and I had some of the best service and food here. Our waiter was attentive and even stressed the importance of not rushing through our meal but enjoying it thoroughly and taking our time when ordering. So unheard of in todays culture of only 1.5hrs per table at a restaurant. The food was divine - I should also say I pretended to be pregnant for a good hour after the meal - they were big but we finished every bite. My sister had the chicken dish (with the best postato ed ever) and I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. We started off with oysters and enjoyed the cocktails and wine equally. Cannot recommend it high enough! Sadly no pictures of the chicken dish were taken. If you are in vicinity, book this place!

Excellent ambience. Food could have been better. The Thanksgiving meal was very uninspiring and did not even include dessert. The salmon that was also ordered was devoid of any salt. All in all, $210 spent, including tips, between three people with zero satisfaction, but for the aesthetics.

The cuban sandwich and fries were great. But the Mac and cheese was overpriced ($22), the cream wasn't smooth, it felt like scrambled eggs

Service is excellent here. Salmon ceviche and tuna tartare were both so yummy. Would love some dairy free dessert options - they all look so good, but can't indulge at the moment. Great wine options.

Great brunch! The salmon eggs benedict was amazing and the side of potatoes with tomatoes was delicious. Really enjoyed this place!
