First they make you yell out your reason for being in the ER, in the lobby, in front of everyone. You have a young child- doesnā€™t matter- you have to yell it out. I tried being discrete- ā€œI canā€™t hear youā€¦!ā€ Front desk lady had some attitude issues- Iā€™m sorry but you should be more mindful if youā€™re working at an ER checkin. Finally- it says weā€™ll get labs in 1.5 hours. 3 hours later weā€™re waiting for the doctor to make herself available to discharge us. Everyone I ask gives extreme attitude- even when Iā€™m trying to ask softly and kindly. Whatā€™s up with the nasty attitudes? You hate being here or helping the sick- why are you working here? Also- the building is extremely old and has cobwebs. Time for an update. You still charge the big money. EDIT: my daughter said the one nurse that came in towards the end was the only nice one. And she was referring to the physician- the physician was kind and thoughtful. To the point that my daughter thought she was the nurse.

As a long time sufferer of many chronic illnesses I feel confident in this assessment. Nurses assistants.-- Mostly excellent. Nurses. ------ Either passionately good and on point. Or the exact opposite. With most being great. Doctors ------------ some great specialists and very few great Doctors. Some are embarrassingly uneducated about things that any doctor should know. Just like most things a chain is a strong a it's weakest link. This hospital is nothing more than weak and broken livid. It's scary as heck

Most Horrible Hospital I have encountered! I gave a 1 start because it is the least allowed but this hospital really takes the price for worst hospital. My dad came into the ER on a Sunday morning with a urinary infection and bacteria and was sent to be admitted in the afternoon. He was not given a room until Monday night. Everyday he had to ask for food because if not it was not given to him. The room (bed, sheets, floor, bathroom) were never cleaned in the 5 days he was admitted. The majority of the nurses were rude and did not know what they were doing. One nurse came in either hungover or still drunk with the smell if alcohol and was not even able to get an IV. When he was discharged the nurse was not aware of the discharge notes, and did not take the vitals one last time until she was asked to do it. This hospital is not only in bad shape but has the worst bed side manners and they do not care about their sick patients. I felt like in a 3rd world hospital. We will never going back there.

Some of the staff at that place are horrible, and the wait is crazy. I went in February 2 because I was bleeding while I was pregnant and I was crying in pain and they made me wait 6 hours just to get checked and tell me I lost my babyā€¦ The doctor and my nurse were very nice and respectful but the nurse at the front was very rude. I donā€™t remember her name but I remember I tried talking to her about how the bleeding is getting worse and how itā€™s hearing even more and she told me to sit down and wait and that I would be next. After that 2 hours pass by and I went to ask where I am on the list and she said soon again. Then goes by another 3 hours and I was in so much pain and she looked at me with no sympathy. you would think a girl miscarrying would be a priority in a way but I guess not

Absolutely terrible experience from the minute I walked in. I went to radiology for my appointment and no one was there so I went to patient registration, keep in mind I already registered on line. I got called up and sent back to my seat 3 times because no one had any clue what they were doing. If I didnā€™t need this appointment so bad I would have walked out. To top it all off there is a completely unprofessional staff member giving everyone including fellow employees attitude,Very rude, obnoxious and loud. I have had good experiences with the ER. But this was on the opposite end of that spectrum. Now I see why they have a 2 star rating. Never again

I had a terrible experience at Metro West. I was admitted to the ER at 4am because I had pain on my abdomen. At 9am, I was taken to get a CT scan and was told I would get my results within 45 minutes. 3 hours later! I met with the doctor who informed me that I had appendicitis and would need surgery immediately. Dr. Morgan was very nice and I believe him when he told me that he would provide surgery on me immediately if he had a room. Unfortunately it was not up to him. At 1pm, I was told that I would be transferred to another hospital since they had availability to do my surgery. I was tired, hungry and in a lot of pain that I decided to rest. I slept from 1pm-4pm to find out that nothing had changed, I had not been provided any updates on my case and my surgery. I finally woke up extremely frustrated and asked for answers. It turned out that they couldnā€™t transfer me because they couldn't find an ambulance to drive me. They must have know this for hours and at no point did they refer to me for other options. At this point I had been in the ER for over 12 hours! I had been in the same room for that amount of time, I had been provided IV twice and wasnā€™t allowed to drink water or eat anything. I fell asleep a couple of times and basically felt like a dead body in the room that no one cared to check up on or provide an update. So long as I remained in the room quiet, and I wasnā€™t bothering anyone, the ER staff was happy. In the end, I begged the ER doctor to let me out and allow me to get my own ride to Worcester so that I could get my surgery. I was dispatched with papers to conduct the transfer. Once in Worcester, I got a bed within an hour and had my surgery that night. The experience there was light years better than at Metro West, people actually showed one important traitā€¦compassion. MetroWest viewed me as a number: RME1 but felt like I was treated more like a zero. I will never go back to this hospital under any circumstances and I will never get back those 13 hours.

This place is HELL on earth. My mom was and still is in excruciating pain with a hip injury we waited five hours and left with no answers and no actual care. but what I really want to mention is while we waited a young woman came in screaming and crying because she was bleeding out and six months pregnant and she was told to calm down and stop crying they sat her in a wheelchair in the waiting room for hours and a nurse told her in front of everyone if she is having a miscarriage there is nothing they can do to stop it anyways. How heartless !! Really nothing you can do for a bleeding pregnant woman ?! And I heard the front desk woman multiple times say out loud she wanted to shoot herself while dealing with patients at the window checking in. Lady to you I say even if you shot yourself where you sat at your desk in the ER you would surely die because you would be dragged into the waiting room to wait hours for treatment. And thatā€™s real !

I wish I could give a zero for the ER staff. After downplaying my husband's issues until they were finally too bad to ignore, they LIED TO US ABOUT HIS TEST RESULTS and said he was fine then discharged us and I had to fight to get his paperwork (had to call their medical records department three times before they finally sent it) only to find out that his tests were VERY clearly labeled "abnormal" but they sent us on our way. Our nurse (June) was terribly rude and I had to track her down every time we needed help - then she had the audacity to write in her report that he was "impatient". I will never let anyone I know go to this hospital ever again. Update: my husband had ecoli and they let him walk away after no help and not telling us or reporting a single thing. STAY AWAY.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I took my friend here at 9:00 pm on New Year's Day so we didn't have the option of an urgent care. She was vomiting, shaking uncontrollably, sweating, when we came in. The lady at the check in desk did not even ask her symptoms. We were ignored for two and a half hours except for when a nurse came over to yell at my friend for not wearing her mask -- WHILE SHE WAS ACTIVELY VOMITING INTO A BAG. I don't know what on earth they expected her to do? Vomit into her mask and aspirate it? Incredibly rude service. We left to treat her at home because after two and a half hours they didn't even take vitals. Thankfully we were able to get ahold of her normal doctor on the phone to give us a treatment plan and medicine to pick up from the pharmacy because the people here at MetroWest Medical Center clearly wouldn't bat an eye if someone died in their waiting room. They'd probably just yell at the corpses to adjust their masks.

To say this hospital is in decline would be an understatement. My mother was admitted on Friday, 3/17, however as there were no beds available she was housed in the ER for 4 days. The hospital staff offered no updates other than "we are waiting on a bed". I recognize the challenges hospitals face and understood they do not have the staff to fill the beds in their units, but at what point does the hospital recognize a ER room is not the place to house a person when their condition is declining? We, the family, called area hospitals and secured my mother an ICU bed in Boston. When she was admitted to Framingham she needed no help to breath, was alert and coherent. When we finally transferred her out she was on Hi Flow oxygen, semi conscious and had a large bed sore. I wish I could detail everything that occurred over the 4 days, but this is not the place. I believe the hospital ownership and administration have let their staff and community down.

If I could post my comments and give no stars I would! This place is an administrative nightmare. Waiting over an hour to REGISTER for an X-ray while you hear personal information of others registering including medical condition, social security number and whether or not they have a WILL (?) is unacceptable. Not only does this violate medical privacy law, these long times spent waiting and answering a barrage of questions is a total disregard for people experiencing the stress of real or potential medical issues! It is not the fault of the poor people carrying out these ill-designed procedures!

Worst hospital ever. If you have to choose between leaving your family member to die at home or taking them to Metro West, save yourself the bill. While I can appreciate that they are understaffed, I cannot comprehend how they will literally leave a patient in pain for hours while on a hypertensive crisis and how it takes them 6 hours to do a blood test and a CT scan. The cherry on the top is how rude and incompetent the staff is. Also, someone should file a health violation complaint against them ASAP. Once again, save yourself the headache and never bring your family member here.

10/13 23 Arrived via ambulance. Passed out at work. Not cardiac related. But hit my head so I was told I had to go. It was in the morning. Waited in a hallway for over an hour on the gurney. No communication as to what was going on. Iā€™m hearing impaired. And no willingness to pull down masks or write things down. And you could tell they were annoyed. For having too. They determined after over an hour. I had Covid. And stuck me in a side room. Didnā€™t see anyone for a few hours. I had soiled my pants. And nothing was offered to change or clean up. Until my wife got there with a change of clothes. Was told I was to be kept overnight. Stayed in that small side room. Had to request something to eat that evening. Got a cold bag lunch. No blankets offered. Saw a nice nurse at 3am. Who took some blood and showed some care. Then nobody. Texted my wife about 8 am. And she called them very angry. Suddenly I had breakfast. My wife came bye. And one nurse got mad saying she could not be in the room with me. I was cleared to go by noon the next day. Hospital billed my insurance 29 thousand dollars. Then billed me for 640.00 on top of that. Chest Ex rays were a seperate bill. Nothing itemized or description of service rendered. Yeah! There is a reason they averse a 2.2 stars. Or less. They suck!

I was just at the ER and had to walk out. I tried to tell the registration desk what was wrong with me and she would not listen, indicating she'd just put down one thing as I couldn't have more than one complaint. As she was registering me she let the other nurse (?) know I'd be put at the back of the line priority wise (for no apparent reason, just judged it as such) while joking about other people also put at the end of the list and sighing. While waiting over 2 hours I was never triaged and several people jumped the line by simply complaining enough. I do not trust my health to this hospital, it's never been the best but now I realize that the criteria for being seen is random. Luckily I am able to see a doctor tomorrow and will suffer hopefully not encounter complications before then.

Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s burn out or lack of empathy but this is the worse Iā€™ve ever experienced. I went in second time due to worsening symptoms. Receptionist refused to call me to start the intake process until others started lining up behind me while she was giggling with her colleague and mumbling under her breathe. Proceeds to question me on why Iā€™m returning to which I explained worsening symptoms. Nurse comes in, and I assumed sheā€™ll be any different continuous to ask why Iā€™m returning meanwhile they literally tell you to return with unimproving or worsening symptoms. They had us sit for over 3 hours with only vitals taken which were not within normal limits and called everyone else in as if we didnā€™t matter. I pray thereā€™s another hospital besides this thatā€™s close but Iā€™ll definitely find better alternatives next time for sure

The absolute WORST hospital I have ever seen in my entire life!!! My grandma went a few days ago and they discharged her saying she was fine, she ended up going back in a second time, where they dismissed her again saying she is fine. Turns out she had a RAGING STAPH INFECTION that they just happened to miss????? Milford Regional found it and she is now there where she is actually being properly treated. This place is disgusting and I don't know how they are not shut down yet!!!

Customer service front desk is horrible, if they going to have someone facing customers theyā€™ll need to be more professional and treat the patientā€™s well, I be clear, the rest of the staff are great and my complain is for the person on front desk, is unacceptable to reject one of the parents to get in with a seven monthā€™s baby, I explain than my wife needs help with the baby and also translation, I canā€™t believe they have a people working on customer service with that bad actitud and so pour perception of common sense!! Is frustrating get with people like that!!

I went to this hospital because the 911 folks brought me there due to my wicked bout with the flu, in spite of my flu shot in September. I was in very bad shape. They should have brought me to Newton-Welleley, a high quality hospital. I am a performing musician. My curly hair is part of the look. The folks in the MWMC emergency were kind enough to cut my hair while I was basically unconscious. A lot of it. That's ABUSE. They also "lost" my new long sleeve t-shirt my wife had just bought me for xmas. I was wearing it when I got to the hospital. Nice job folks. And it took them a couple of days to find my phone that I came in with! Who's in charge down there? Following that I was moved to the 2nd floor. There the nurses, specifically, were very good. The doctor was good, but that was about it. Granted I was there during the xmas holidays but that's no excuse. An aide decided my beard, mustache, side burns and even my eyebrows were too long. My eyebrows??? She proceeded to cut everything. A LOT! She claimed I gave her permission, but CERTAINLY NOT for what she did. Besides, I was still out of it. I consider what she did to be serious patient ABUSE. What does my appearance have to do with recovering from the flu? I'd love somebody at this hospital to answer that. This hospital is a dump, but at least I didn't die thanks to the Tamiflu and hydration they gave me. That's a plus 1. I will never ever set foot in this hospital ever again.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! This hospital and the doctor that did surgery on me has got to be the most schemey medical professionals ever. Metrowest medical hospital did not give me an estimation of costs prior to surgery despite me asking for it 2 times over the phone (and legally, they were supposed to give that to me regardless) and so I had no idea how much a 3.5 hr surgery would cost. After the surgery, it took months for me to recieve a bill because they had multiple issues without my insurance because they tried to overcharge my plan to the tune of $48,000. I had a 3 hr NECESSARY breast reduction surgery, where did these egregiously high charges on my statement come from? Thankfully, my insurance made them adjust the amount but it still meant I owed a bunch more than I even imagined I would owe. They took away my right to know the potential cost of procedure by not giving me a cost estimate and the cost transparency document I requested. So when I was made aware of my final bill, I then called the hospitalā€™s records department, finance department, as well as my doctorā€™s office that did surgery on me to get info on what all these outrageous charges were for, and everyone keeps giving me the roundabout, saying they didnā€™t know anything. The hospitalā€™s finance department, Tenet Health, refuses to allow me to pay a percentage despite me not having funds to pay the whole thing. A hospital that wouldnā€™t respect me enough to tell me approximate estimates ahead of time doesnā€™t get to dictate a payment plan to me, especially when I offered to pay a percentage. My insurance almost canceled contracts with the doctor because she didnā€™t get the right codes ahead of time and wanted to still charge me. Plus the day of surgery I TOLD the hospital I only wanted in network doctors for every single thing done on me, and they still didnā€™t do what I asked and therefore my insurance had to tell the anesthesiologists trying to charge me $5000 that my insurance nor I would pay any amount unless the anesthesiologist bills were brought down to my insurance allowance, and there are so many more stories. Iā€™m considering filing a complaint with the government over their lack of transparency prior to the surgery even though all I asked for was to pay a percentage of the costs. If I could give this hospital and Tenet Health negative stars, I would. Do not go to this hospital!

I took my mother here to get some blood work done. It was fairly empty only one person in front of us and 4 people working in registration room. No one offered to help us or register us but instead a women came in and yelled at us for waiting at the sign at the entrance to be called, saying ā€œthis is a waiting room, there wouldnā€™t be seats if we wanted you to standā€. It was incredibly rude and aimed at us though there was an entire line of people waiting at the sign as well. The sign at the entrance gives off the appearance you are supposed to wait there until a staff member calls you up. Then finally a women takes us but she take over 30 mins just to register us though my mother is already in the system and all her info is up to date. The women did not focus on us, instead she helped out other person there and was unfocused. Itā€™s seemed like we were overlooked for other customers even though we were there first. A few people were in and out who came after us before we were even done. We have been long time patients of metro west but today service was incredibly rude. I can understand if there is a lack of staff to keep things moving quickly but the amount of attitude we received from the staff was unacceptable and uncalled for. Please be mindful of how your staff speaks to nice patients. If you had a terrible day due to other patients there is no need to take it out on minorities that have been nothing but kind.

Framingham Union Hospital is complete trash. Staff very unprofessional, i went in the ER and when 'seen' they left me in the hallway on a stretcher and for 6 hours. They never hooked me up to any machines and nor did they take a EKG for what was going on. The nursing staff seemed to be more concerned about looking like a boy without lashes and having other wild conversations. They do NOT care about the patients here. The best place to go is ConvenientMD on route 30 framingham.

Communication is very poor. For some reason, the morale of nurses and others working in the hospital needs to be remedied. When we needed information about the patient, it generally took all day tobe forthcoming. One nurse refused to do a basic and necessary task for the patient.

this place deserves no stars thatā€™s how bad they are. youā€™re lucky if you get a nurse that actually cares. the amount of times iā€™ve been at this hospital for the same reasons and they still donā€™t care is actually very sad. i was in the hallway until i got sectioned. one of the nurses made me take my pants off IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY while there was people around. as she had an intern i guess next to her. telling her how she does things or whatever. i then get placed in a room. mind you the only time i actually spoke to someone was when i first got there. they only bother you to take vitals and for me to see how my blood levels are because of reasons i will not say on the internet. anyways i talked to pes once. i told a nurse i wanted to go home and how i hated this hospital. she then proceeded to tell me i was lucky to be in a room and not in the hallway. i then tell her i wanted to speak to pes or someone so i can talk about going home. she tells me sheā€™s going to try and talk to pes and see if they can come in and talk to me. next thing i know im getting transferred to an inpatient. which let me add being in a inpatient is 1000x better then being in that horrible place. they leave you in a room until you leave. they come in like i said to check vitals. no one tells you anything literally UNTIL YOU LEAVE. and itā€™s not even the nurses that tell you. itā€™s EMS telling you that youā€™re leaving. EXCUSE ME. i left on tuesday. they didnā€™t even give me all of my belongings. they gave me everything BUT my shoes. my mom has been trying to get into contact with them and what do you know. they magically disappeared? the hospital i am at right now gave me everything. so clearly i didnt come with my shoes. this hospital is unprofessional they dont care. the last time i was at this hospital there was a woman yelling because of how traumatized she was at being in ers and how she doesnā€™t like being around security and men in general. you know what they do? they have the security hold her down until the nurses come in and give her a shot for her to calm down. they proceed to laugh and make jokes about this poor woman. when she comes to she starts freaking out again and understandably so. they just walked past her and told her to be quiet because no one wants to hear her yelling. THEY DONT CARE. they need to get shut down or something. if you plan on bringing anyone to this hell hole. DONT. the amount of times they make fun of their patients whether itā€™s laughing or joking is insane. this place needs serious help. youā€™re supposed to be a hospital and care for your patients. and they donā€™t. they just let you sit until they decide to help you. moral of the story donā€™t come here and donā€™t bring valuable things with you. cause theyā€™re gonna steal them and try and make it seem like you never came with it. i cannot wait for the day this place gets shut down with the lack of care this place holds. people will cry and cry and theyā€™ll just walk past like nothings going on. before i left the hospital the other day i still had my iv in and the nurse took it out SIDEWAYS and not down. someone needs to sue them.

Unbelievable! I call to take care of my mother's bill. What a joke! I did a 3 way call they spoke to my mom. She gave them the information to verify her identy. She tells them to speak to me(I have power of attorney). Well....I got nowhere! They won't except my mothers statement. They tell you they can't make calls out right. Lol then they say oh what's ur mothers number. I asked why..they said so we can call her.I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A COMPANY that won't let you straighten out a bill. THIS HOSPITAL IS A JOKE.THEY should been closed down instead of Naticks hospital. I have seen how they treat people also. So bad. If you need a hospital for something that won't hurt you, go to ANY OTHER ONE! I can see why they have a rating of 2.3...THEY ALSO GOT A D RATING FOR THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!

This hospital has no psychiatrist on staff, every nurse thinks she's Cardi B, and every doctor imagines it's Grey's Anatomy. They'll dump you in a hallway to collect the ER insurance payout and then let Advocates, a truly flaccid and juvenile organization, consider talking to you for a couple hours until your frustrated enough to warrant further emergency collections. Avoid if you value your life.

Has to be one of the worst hospitals in Massachusetts. I arrived with a dog bite and was told to sit and wait, waited 15 mins and then went back up to the desk to ask for alcohol to clean my own wounds. I was met with the response ā€œThereā€™s people dying in here, so Iā€™m sorry but nobody cares about the little cut on your finger right now.ā€ by a woman who alleged to be the head nurse even though nobody there would share her name with me. I literally stared at the desk person and said ā€œsheā€™s going to apologize correct?ā€ She did not. I was told by the nurses that she would not so apparently she has a reputation for being rude. I did not have a little cut on my finger, I got my right hand crushed by the jaws of a dog who then latched onto my forearm and had to be ripped off. If none of those nurses know that animal bites need to be washed thoroughly and immediately to prevent serious infection risk than they all need to go back to school. Called the patient help line several lines a day to complain about a violation of patient rights and was met with no response.

We had a very bad experience with the Hospital Billing department. My daughter had blood test for 4 dates of services and out of the 4 for 2 the Hospital sent the bill to Insurance and was processed, there was no out of pocket cost for me. The other 2 date of services they sent the bills to Collection Agency when they already had my daughter's insurance details on file. I called the Hospital Billing Department several times along with my Insurance Company representative asking them why they sent the bills to the collection agency instead of insurance and none of their billing department representatives were able to answer it. Every time they kept on saying that the request is under review and didn't take the initiative to put the bill on hold with the collection agency instead they asked me to reach out to the Collection Agency, when it is clearly a miss on the Hospital side. I am still getting follow up calls & letters from Collection Agency asking me to pay the 2 outstanding bills. At this point of time I really do not know what I should do to resolve this issue. Very disappointed with the overall experience.

My son recently was admitted to the critical care unit at this hospital. He spent 7 days there. We day after day were so blessed with nurses who were so compassionate and knowledgeable. We were always given everything we needed to make decisions promptly and my son had the best of care. We had a few nurses that were just exceptional Shell and Gloria and Marie. You 3 forever have my heart. The desk staff was so helpful and accommodating and I never had to ask for anything. I was so blessed to have wonderful Doctors caring for my son in his end of life care. Thank you to everyone for your compassion.

I recently had a bike accident, and went to Metrowest Medical center last Sunday at 10.45 am. I was bleeding from my forehead and knee and left in the emergency room for 6 hours bleeding. Tests were done after 3 hours, but no one cleaned or assisted me with my bleeding wounds until 5pm. Apparently they were short on staff.... The ER doctor was great, and apologized repeatedly, but this should not happen at a hospital.

Been here to the ER a couple of times as itā€™s the closest for my 5 year old and itā€™s always a bad experience. The check in process, wait time and no proper response and communication is really disappointing. I can pretty much echo sentiments from a few other people in the below comments.

I was at the ER on July 14, 2023 because I cracked my head and needed 7 staples. As other reviews have stated, it was a long wait to be seen. I arrived at about 245pm and was discharged at 720pm (when I left, the waiting room was more than double than when I arrived). That being said, my experience is that hospitals range from 2-12 hours wait, so although I felt like I was in crisis, I was sitting near the check in desk and the people they triaged before me FOR SURE were in more of a crisis that I was. Everyone was very nice to me. The check in person, the triage nurse, the RN who gave me my tetanus shot, and the doctor who treated me were all very nice and attentive (even when I was in the waiting room, when I needed more gauze or ice, they were very quick to give it to me). Maybe when I get my bill I will have something bad to say, but I thought I was treated well at this hospital.

I went with my 6-month-old son with difficulty breathing due to the flu, on 01/03/2023, for the simple fact that he does not speak English he treated us with the greatest discrimination there has ever been in this place, this hospital should be closed , their workers mistreat non-Americans, especially a lady at the front desk. stupid, she didn't want to pay attention to my son's case, my son is 7 months old. he did little homework and said that he was not having this difficulty. without even touching it or examining it. where will it stop? This hospital needs to be closed down. bad, rubbish, cruel, cowardly.

Feeling very taken advantage of with our bill. Went to the ER in March for a minor procedure (urgent care was closed by the time it happened so we had to go the ER route). Procedure is done, takes about 45 minutes, otherwise had been left sitting in the room about 1 and a half hours on our own. Get our bill, one run through insurance, pay the rest as we expect. A month later receive a second bill for over $6000 that just says ER charges. Bill comes from a 3rd party that hospital says is facilities charges (who charges $3000/hr to sit unattended in a shared room?). Weā€™ve been going back and forth with this bill collector and our insurance for months, finally get an itemized bill, come to find out weā€™re being charged for things we donā€™t remember getting, and when we try to talk to the billing office weā€™re told they donā€™t know why anything is out on the bill and to talk to the physician assigned to the case, told by another physician that they wonā€™t have anything to do with that bill and to talk to the patient advocate, who I HAVE BEEN LEAVING VOICEMAILS FOR FOR 4 WEEKS WITH NO RESPONSE. Absurd!

Every person that walks into MWMC has to take off their mask and put on a mask from the reception desk. OK. Day surgery no one can come in with you as there's not room to be socially distanced. OK. Patients having day surgery ARE NOT TESTED FOR COVID. Why? How is that protecting my health...I don't know the people in the other beds in recovery without masks on who are out of it and some of them screaming loudly. How is that protecting the MWMC staff that cares for these patients 8-12 hours a day. This is NOT OK. If you can't covid test pre-procedures, then give up the pretense of handing out masks to protect the health of your staff and patients. I'm actually more outraged at the disregard for the health of your staff...so very disrespectful to those who are the heroes of the pandemic. And why is not one of the satellite offices for lab and imaging open? Milford or Franklin. Pick one.

The worst hospital experience. I took my husband to the emergency room and after the doctor ordered blood tests and a CT scan, he was diagnosed with a "foot infection". Long story short, we flew him home to FL 4 days later and he had emergency surgery for a leg bypass and 3 toes were amputated. Do not go to this hospital with any serious problems. If I could give this hospital 0 stars it would be too complimentary.

This place is a nightmare I was put in restraints and shuffled around until I was put in a room abs in pretty sure they just forgot about me. After a day without food and having to lay in my own urine I realized if I didn't get myself out I might not get out. It took another 4 hours to get I out of the restraints. The doctors discharged me the next day. Oh and no one seems to know where i was while restrained

Broke my ankle in multiple places. Super painful and the doctors wonā€™t really care. Change my medication three times. When call for nurse I waited 3 hours yesterday morning. Same was at night. The night shift doctor sent order at 6pm and the nurse showed up 2 hours later. No communication between staff. Asked to change my bed 3 days on the row and finally today on day 5 someone showed up to change my bed. I would never recommend anyone this hospital because most of people who work here donā€™t really care!

We are very grateful to The Green Team, doctors and nurses of the cardio vascular unit for the care they provided my mom, during the last days of her life. She was about to turn 96 years old and was transfered to Metro West Medical Center from St. Patrick's Manor with the flu and pneumonia. She was treated with the outmost respect, care and compassion; despite of her difficulties due to dementia. We as a family were also treated with respect, compassion and we were provided with all the information to make the best decisions for our mom. Particular gratitude to doctor Khan Shabaz for his wisdom and support and to Meghan, an angel of nurse, just to mention one. Forever grateful for your care, support and compassion

My father came in by ambulance yesterday because he was having a stroke. The doctors, nurses and staff have been fantastic. Even though they are all out straight with the large numbers of patients, you would never know by the extra time and attention they spend with my father and us.

Ok so I was here back in September for an outpatient procedure. The nurses and doctors who treated me were excellent and I truly felt cared for. However the billing is another issue. I have had nonstop emails and letters billing me for the full amount of my procedure, (>$10,000) and each time I call my insurance, who tell me the amount was paid in full. Then I call billing and they claim I have no insurance on file, despite me giving them my insurance #s several times already. I am not sure what is going on with billing but I am terrified they are going to send my account to collections when for all intents and purposes they have their money.

I had some tests and surgery done at the Framingham Union Hospital. Much easier to get in and out and park than Boston hospitals. The care I received was better than the care my wife received at one of the large Boston hospitals. All the doctors were professional and the staff, especially the nurses were friendly and attentive and I received all the post surgery care I needed and all my request were met in a timely manner. Thank You !

The Labor and Delivery Dept deserves 10 stars. I had my baby a few weeks ago and had an amazing experience. Dr. Brazer, the nurses (esp. Sonja) and the pediatricians are highly skilled, attentive, and compassionate. I felt very comfortable knowing that my baby and I were getting the best care. Thanks to the entire staff!

I went to this hospital after getting into a car accident on 10/15. I told the Dr. I had hit my head and was feeling nauseous and dizzy. They didnā€™t even check me for a concussion, now 12 days later I have been diagnosed with a concussion by another doctor at a different facility. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone, missing a head injury is negligent and can be life threatening.

Worst hospital I've ever been to. I came in by ambulance, after a bad car accident that I was in this morning. They put me in the waiting room in a wheelchair! And the paramedics said I was severely dehydrated and needed an iv but after over two hours of waiting I received no care. And then when I was leaving, they wouldn't even order me a cab home.

I went into the ER when I threw out my back. I was never seen by an MD, they ran no tests and did no exams. They gave me a couple of prescriptions, lidocane patcesh and a shot (in the advil Family)... $4222. 29...and they charged me a $200 co pay and sent another bill for $457.43. Again, no exam by anybody, no tests. I called thier billing dept to find out why the bill was so much (they are sending itimized copy) and what the $457.43 was for. When I was leaving the ER the receptionist also asked that I pay the $457. I was in too much pain and asked that they bill me. I have since paid that bill but called to find out what it was for. The first rep said she had no idea what it wa for. She then guessed it was an estimate and they I did not need to pay it...excpet the receptionist also asked for the payment in the ER. I have now been on hold over an hour to try to find out what I am being billed for....so I called them from another line to see if they could at least call me back. Who has hours to spend on hold?? The second rep, siad they could not call me back, I had no other option but to wait (I am literally at 90 minutes on my cell and over 30 minutes of holding on my other phone. Nobdoy can answer questions, they can't call me back and they pprvided literraly the worst ER exzpreince - They did nothing for over $4k

Been here a few times. A fine example of yet another health care center, whose main goal is to keep and inter patients with the subversive goal to feign ignore of medical issues, in order to further garnish and fill their own pockets with money (insurers, doctors, etc.). Stick with the private firms.

My daughter went to that hospital last night. If I could give a zero for the review I would. One of the nurses was nasty to my daughter because she could not give my daughter the iv. They left her alone a lot. The bathroom had blood in it. I was told that after my daughters operation they would call me. They never did. I tried to call since my daughter has two kids I needed to know if she is alright they would not even tell me if she was alive or dead. The sent her to cvu Iā€™m not sure why? Cardiac vascular unit did not tell me why and a nasty nurse said she would not tell me anything and she hung up on me. I called later to find out her name and I could not get the information from anyone terrible hospital Leonard Morse was much better not sure why they closed it to patients I am very angry my daughter liked the nurse practitioner and maybe 1 or 2 other people everyone else stunk terrible hospital always has been always will be horrible hospital stay away if you can go anywhere else but there nurses and staff are rude and they hang up on you and lie about it my name is Maria johnson my daughter is cleopatra anderson

I had a great experience delivering my son. My nurse Dondis was an angel. Dr. Solano delivered my baby with another doctor and it was great. I felt very supported. I have visited this hospital several times during my pregnancy. Each time I got right in, and was seen right away. All of my girlfriends see Dr. Solano for obstetrics at Southborough Reliant now.

The security antagonize and called my son names and threatened to hold him down and sedate him while he spent four nights in the ER waiting for a inpatient bed. He is 14. They refused him to go to the bathroom stating he went already too many times so he had to urinate in his room. They had people lined up in the hallways in beds and are very short staffed. Disgusting and unprofessional

This place was miserable for me. Me and my mom waited for 8 HOURS. As a young child myself, I can tell that they canā€™t handle children well at all there. Easily the worst 2 days of my life. My mom to me was very annoyed the entire time because of the unprofessional staff. This one lady seemed not to care honestly. That place was erupting in terror. Didnā€™t help that I had to deal with people being hold down by security guards around me with constant screaming almost all the time. The only good thing that happened was that a very nice security guard got me a cup of water. But the negatives squash the positive. I heard Racial slurs, and thank for I got released cause we ainā€™t going back.

I understand the country has been in a pandemic for the past three years, but the pandemic has ended per the federal government. Itā€™s time to adjust the Outdated COVID-19 policy regarding visitors on in the ER. More than one visitor should be allowed to be with family members in the ER as there are medical emergencies. Stop using the COVID-19 policies as an excuse to mandate ridiculous policies. Great hospital has gone down hill fast.

The billing department is so inefficient. They do not submit bill to insurance on time and later bill the patient as insurance company declined due to late submission. I have a bill for 2080 to pay now and I have Bluecross insurance. They denied the bill as the hospital did not submit within the timeframe

I recently had a close family member admitted to the ER. The state of the hospital was apalling, rooms that had not been cleaned clearly for quite a while. The nursing staff were run off their feet. No one had time for anything. The staff didnā€™t look happy, and that was exhibited in the care of the patients. There were so many patients admitted to the ER that patient beds were lined against each hall, with no privacy. It was very difficult seeing all of the pain from these people and no real service. It is probably the worst hospital I have ever had to visit.

They ignored my request for blankets had 2 and 3 of my from home that meet the cdc guidelines and refused to put my blankets back on after the surgery procedure after they force my blankets off. Staff is rude and still waiting for a call back. Hospital needs to re train the medical staff professionals on listening skills and records keeping. I feel the staff was abuse me not listening to my medical needs.

Called to check up on someone who was suicidal, the nurse was very rude stating to call back in an hour when I was on hold for more than 30 minutes, it was a quick question with a posible quick answer, we just wanted to know if our family member was okay since he wanted to end himself! No compassion for others. He was clearly not fine if he was about to unalive himself prior to being taken there by the ambulance!

We had an excellent experience overall. Impressively thoughtful doctors (attendings and residents in multiple departments) as well as nurses who tended to us as much as we needed but also gave us the space we needed during a hard time. Doctors checked in on us after a long shift even after they were no longer on the care team for my father - they went above and beyond. The facilities were comfortable and what we needed. It was everything we could have hoped for, and the fact that Metrowest is a smaller community-focused hospital definitely showed through in a great way.

Today, 05/08/2023 the patient checked in 9am and now is 11:45 and was not been seen by a doctor! More than 3 people who arrived after her was attended and Miss Borer still there without knowing what time she will be seen by doctorā€¦ HOW CAN THIS HOSPITAL PRIORITIZE PEOPLE WHI ARRIVED AFTER YOU, EVEN YOU SAY TO THEM HOW MUCH PAI YOU GOT AND CAN EVEN NOT WALK PROPERLYā€¦ No respect at all for who pays high taxes!!! This Hospital deserves a giant lawsuitā€¦ SHAMEFUL LACK OF RESPECT to GOOD CITIZENS WHO PAY HIGH TAXES!

My adult daughter was seen in the ER and was there for 2 days before she got transferred or discharged. I wasn't there when it happened and the hospital can't or is unwilling to give me any info about where she went. Horrible hospital. Reception area was unorganized and public. Will avoid going here!

I can't believe you people. You and that entire hospital are horrible horrible staff people. When my mom had problems With her neck, the doctors did an X-ray. And CT scan to see what was wrong with her neck. Because my mom's motor skills were getting bad. Next thing I know, we were told that she's fine. So they Released her within hours after. Then the next day when my mom was getting worse. The next day, my mom fell hard And she had to be taken in an ambulance back to Framingham. They were almost about to tell her that she was okay, but then when they finally did their job for once, it turned out that my mom needed immediate surgery. If She waited 2 days after she would have been completely paralyzed. So finally they had her transported to tufts medical Boston. And doctors at that hospital said. Why did you keep putting it off? And we said we didn't. It was framingham Union that kept turning us away. I don't know how this place could call itself. A hospital when it doesn't even care about its patients. I don't know how you guys can live with yourself. Because you're just inhumane people that don't deserve to be called a hospital. I wish they would have that place condemned. All I know is i'm never bringing my family here and This message is to the public don't Go here save yourself before They'll do the same thing to To you as they did to my mom, so run!!!!

Went to the ER after a dog bit me and waited two hours before they finally called me. Waited another two hours and the front desk said that the resident had forgotten to triage me before he ended his shift (so they essentially forgot I was there). I was extremely dehydrated and had to get 3 different vaccines in that manner. Donā€™t come here unless itā€™s the only option!
