This gym is tremendous. I was in town for work and Jamie was teaching the 5:30 am class and welcomed me immediately like I was a great addition to class. He is a gifted teacher and he is so attentive to his students. It’s clear that he’s vested and cares a great deal for everyone in class - even a guest like me. He asked me what my favorite position was and he pulled me aside after class to work with me on my technique from that position. His knowledge, movement and technique are exceptional - plain to see with Pedro Sauer black belts.

I was in Alpharetta for work and headed to J3 Jiu Jitsu Gym and couldn't be more well welcomed than I was! Everyone is so nice and Jamie and the instructors are pretty well prepared to give you a good time training. I wish I can come back soon, thank you guys!!!

I recently moved from TX to GA and stopped in to J3 to try their morning class. Black belt and owner Jamie Williams led the class which was great and his communication and teaching was very precise. The things he taught are very realistic and applicable. Sometimes you go to gyms and they are all chasing some new crazy inverted technique that works maybe 1 out of 10 times and you have to be a gymnast to pull off, but Jamie is teaching true principles that will work 10 out of 10 times. Great place to train and highly recommend it.

Our 14 year old daughter can’t get enough of this place! She heard about it from a friend and wanted to come try a class and was hooked. In the last nine months or so of her attending I’ve seen her confidence grow-confidence in her ability to learn new skills and apply them in different scenarios with all different sized and experience level opponents/partners. She’s gaining physical strength while she’s challenged mentally-jiu jitsu is like a physical game of chess and requires you to think and plan. The group here is fantastic-always welcoming, encouraging and helpful and the instructors and the owner Jamie are just outstanding. Invested in teaching and connecting with each and every student. Highly highly recommend!

I went into J3 for the first time knowing nothing about jiu jitsu nor did I know anyone there or anyone who even did jiu jitsu. That is intimidating by itself. But Jamie and Ryu were the first two people I met, and they made me feel very comfortable and excited to get started. They made sure I got special attention in my first classes so I could follow along and learn. It was such an amazing first impression; not once did I feel out of place or nervous. The environment and atmosphere is what kept me coming! They welcomed me into the J3 family with open arms and I couldn't imagine ever going anywhere else! Great instruction, I competed in my first competition, despite competition nerves, I felt very good going in as our instructors and teammates made sure we were ready! The entire gym came out to support everyone competing. It truly is a family environment and everyone is very supportive of each other's progression!

Excellent facility. Great instruction for beginners, advanced, women, or children. I was visiting from Utah on business and called the owner to get permission to drop in. He was very inviting and graciously allowed me to come tonight to their no-gi class. Class began with some Gracie self-defense and progressed into more advanced moves. Instruction was technical and as good or better than anywhere I've trained at when I traveled. Everyone was fun to roll with and I felt very safe. no ego's at all. I'll return here again when I come back to this area

This is a quality place to train! Jamie and the other coaches are all great people, talented, and very gracious with their knowledge. Training partners are plentiful and everyone is welcoming. The mat space is top notch, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to train

Great academy. Stopped by for a drop in while visiting some family for Thanksgiving. Jamie was extremely welcoming as were all the other students. Very knowledgeable and well explained instruction. Thank you for the great experience and next time I’m in town I will definitely make it a priority to stop back in.

I had an incredible experience at j3bjj. Professor Jaime's welcoming nature and availability made me feel at home right away, even though I was visiting from Miami. His professionalism was evident in every aspect of the academy. The training at j3bjj was truly amazing. Professor Jaime's focus on techniques and positional sparring has significantly contributed to my skills development. I learned so much from him, and each student I trained with was supportive and helpful. Without a doubt, my time at j3bjj was truly enriching. I wholeheartedly recommend this academy to anyone eager to learn and thrive in the sport. Regardless of your level - beginner or experienced - the atmosphere and teachings at j3bjj will undoubtedly elevate your jiu-jitsu journey.

Amazing facility - I dropped in from out of town and everyone was so welcoming and excited to have me there. Coach John specifically worked with me on a lot of techniques and stayed late showing me how to tighten up my game. Can’t recommend J3 enough. Awesome place to train Jiu Jitsu

Lost 15 pounds since I joined! Fantastic environment for either individuals who want to train hard or want to bring the whole family to get more active and learn the best self defense out there. Fun, friendly and challenging, great instructors and peers.

I dropped in from out of town and Jamie and the other instructors were more than welcoming! They are teaching solid Jujitsu and I had a blast training with all belt levels. I even brought some techniques I was taught back to my home gym. The environment J3 has created is exceptional. The gym itself was extremely clean and organized. I have nothing but great things to say about J3, will definitely be dropping in again in the future.

I recently visited J3 BJJ as a drop-in and had a wonderful experience. Professor Jamie was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. The students were friendly and the rolls were tough and competitive. I highly recommend J3 and hope to have the opportunity to train here again the next time I'm visiting the area.

As someone who has frequented several gyms and training centers, I dropped in to this gym looking for at best a place to get some sparring in while I was in town. I was met with extremely pleasant professors and patrons in a very clean, well equipped, and honestly gorgeous martial arts gym. The professors are fluent in several forms of martial arts and self-defense techniques as well. I have already recommended this gym to friends and family, and would recommend to anyone looking to train ju jitsu for any reason, be it competition, hobby, physical fitness, or self-defense. Even though this isn’t my home gym, I would also this gym any time I’m available and in town.

This is a great place to train. I’ve been training for 6 years and I would say this is definitely one of the top schools that I have ever attended. They are super knowledgeable and friendly and focus on the fundamentals.

I have only ever been to two BJJ places (I am a new white belt). J3 has been awesome for the whole family. The last place we would be there for 3+ hours as we waited for each group of family members to train. At this place, the kids train in the next room at the same time as the parents (1 hour). J3 also tends to be more safety minded (the other place had the kids doing moves that made all watching bystanders groan due to a lack of basic safety instruction as kids were getting rolled backwards on their neck). But probably the most awesome thing about this school is how much your sparring partner helps you learn the moves. If you are not naturally Kinesthetic it is really awesome to have helpful and insightful rolling partners to help you learn the moves quicker. It is amazing how certain techniques applied the right way can have positive outcomes over bigger, faster, stronger, or heavier rolling partners. Jamie and Geoff are awesome instructors. Great Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school for kids, women, and men!

Great place for BJJ! Professor Jaime and his staff are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and warm--easy conversations and great people to train with. They have a kids BJJ program that runs the same time as adult classes in the evening if you're looking for that. They have flexible training time of 530-630am some mornings as well as 6-7pm Mon-Thur with additional time after class to roll and try out what you've learned. Weekend classes are also offered for select weekends. If you're new to BJJ, don't worry--just come on in, ask questions, don't be afraid to be new, and enjoy the rolling!

I had a last minute meeting cancellation and had time on a business trip. Professor was super responsive and welcoming to me, and everyone in the class was open and welcoming as well. Instruction quality was great. Facility is clean and great. Rolls after class were great. 100% fantastic place to train.

This is my second jiu jitsu school & I have trained here for almost eight months. Professor Jamie teaches so much technique & says it in a way that’s easy for me to memorize & practice. All of the coaches are helpful & go above and beyond to create a great, respectful, training atmosphere. The environment of this gym is unbeatable. The 5:30am class is the best!!!
