First time coming to the pier, we always go to the beach near the light house but we had such a blast here at the pier! My father loved fishing all day off the pier and watching what other people catch. I decided to relax on the beach and get some sun. The beach is extremely clean and was not crowded at all. The pier had a places to get hot dogs, nachos, ice cream, and slushes. Along with all that they also had a bar that had some amazing drinks! I had two of the $20.00 bucket drinks with 6 different liquors, and they did not skimp on the liquor that’s for sure!! After a few hours on the beach we also took in some of the local sights in the area, lots of shops and restaurants and bars! Also found a place that servers a tub .. yes that’s right, a tub of raw or cooked oysters for 36.00! Needless to say the family and I had a wonderful time here at Tybee Island pier. We will certainly be back next year for sure!! ❤️🏖☀️⛱🍻

Had a fun time on this pier. Saw a huge turtle, a variety of birds and a lovely sunset. Will be back for sure. It’s not too big, good opportunity for a short walk and a breather. Free admission, paid parking (as almost everywhere on Tybee Island).

Our favorite beach that we’ve visited in a long time. Very spacious, quiet and beautiful. There is a parking lot and a lot of street parking close by and easy access to the beach. If you are looking for a convenient beach to go to, definitely visit Tybee! They also have changing rooms by the pier which was a plus too.

Really enjoyed walking down the pier. It goes out pretty far so you get a beautiful view. There were places to eat and restrooms on the Pier which is convenient. Needs more places to sit but very relaxing to walk and hear the ocean.

Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion is a fantastic place to visit, particularly if you're looking for a fun-filled day at the beach with your family. One of the standout features of the pier and pavilion is the stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean that it provides. Whether you're taking a stroll along the pier or lounging on the beach, the view is simply breathtaking. The pier itself is quite long and offers plenty of space for fishing, people-watching, or just enjoying the sea breeze. In addition to the pier, the pavilion is another great feature of the park. The pavilion is a covered area that provides shade from the sun and is equipped with picnic tables and restrooms. This makes it the perfect spot for a family picnic. For families with children, Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion has plenty of activities to keep the little ones entertained. There's a playground nearby, as well as a splash pad and plenty of sand for building sandcastles. The beach is also very family-friendly, with calm waters and lifeguards on duty during the summer months. Overall, I highly recommend Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion as a great place to visit. Whether you're looking to relax and soak up the sun or engage in some fun activities, this park has something for everyone. With its beautiful location, great amenities, and family-friendly atmosphere, it's a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the Savanna, Ga area.

I decide to get up early and drive here to catch the sunrise. This is an amazing place to watch the sunrise and take photos. Do not expect solitude though. There are always people there doing the same thing. It's fun to also watch the fishermen or fish yourself. Sometime you can catch some decent fish. On special occasions like 4th of July, Labor day, etc. , they may have a band playing.

Nice place to relax. The swing chairs were very attractive. Parking meters can be improved. I tried to pay with a credit card but it didn't work and ended up using an online portal.Rest rooms are well maintained.

This was our first visit to the area, and we're very pleased with our discovery of the lighthouse and Fort. I was a bit surprised by the cost of going up into the lighthouse, but I understand that it's necessary for its general upkeep. I was pleased to find that the price also included entry into the fort as well. There is plenty of paid parking in the area, as well as food and drink available close by. If you found this review helpful, please let me know by talking the thumbs up. Thanks!

We parked on 11th street and walked the beach. I would recommend bringing lawn chairs and any equipment you may need to enjoy yourself. The bathroom on the pier was disgusting and I wouldn't use it. They are cleaning fish in a sink on the pier that drains into the ocean, this gives me mixed feeling since sharks like blood and guts. I wouldn't swim by the pier. The shops are great!

It's our first time here. After driving around looking for a place to park (we paid for 2 hours, they have a parking meter). I'm sorry, I forgot how much we paid. They have folks driving around in golf carts, checking the tickets placed in the window. We parked about a 1/4 mile from the beach. It's best to come early, so you can park across the ocean. But it was okay, the scenery was nice. We made it. It's not what I'm use to, being from the islands in the South Pacific. There were people fishing off of the pier. I got to pet a baby 🦈, the boy that caught it, threw it back in. They have stores to buy souvenirs like other places here in the mainland. Overall, it's nice and clean. They have bathrooms and stalls to change in along the way. Thank you, Tybee Island.

I'm born and raised in Atlanta Georgia and unfortunately have not been here since I've been an adult. Awesome place to visit and has a bar / restaurant on the pier. There was a person celebrating their 50th birthday party and the entire group had no problem sharing the pier with us. Happy birthday Alan we had an awesome time. Very close to Savannah, downtown historic area which is where I stayed. This was about a 30-minute drive from there and plenty of parking spaces to choose from

Beautiful slightly crowded by the pier but all else it was a very nice beach we took the kids 4-6 metal detecting. The kids had a blast when they found treasure chests filled with trinkets and gold. My sister and her daughter set that up for them. Now when I visit the kids they ask me if I want to go money finding. It was crowded because it was Labor Day. Also we had good parking right next to the pier. We waited almost an hour for the parking spot.

We had a great time! Pretty decent parking. $7, I think, but worth it for good parking and security to me. We did see patrolling for which we're thankful. We've been to other places where you don't pay to park, and it's a free-for-all. Sorry, we didn't take a lot of pics-- we were having too much fun!

The Pier and Pavilion was great! I really enjoyed walking out on the pier to get views of the ocean. In the evening, however, I was terrified. It was extremely dark but I felt safe while out there. I was happy to see there was a police presence as the hours went into the evening.

Really really like the pier best part is it is free and open to public. Has a nice Pavillion on it with vending machine, water, cutting area for fisherman. Yes you can fish from it. Nailed it Tybee. Cool water danger guide pole. (I'm from the north and inland so that isn't an issue) I just thought it was really interesting.

Rating: Killah! Clean, comfortable, and very relaxing Pier. Lots of interesting shops. Great for walking and just enjoying the beach, food, and the local. The pier was a short but nice walk. Great place to see the ocean and such.

Tybee Beach is a safe, clean, and pleasant experience. The sand is very nice, although there are signs warning of possible bacterial infections from swimming in the sea. The water is being monitored for quality, although this is common all along the East coast. That being said, it was a nice day out here. The pier is a good place to visit too. We enjoyed coming to Tybee Island.

Started coming while at GSU and still keep coming back. Great vibe all around. The students and soldiers are trying to unwind and blow off steam, so let them have fun. Locals are very chill in my experience. Out of state folk are mostly cool, some clearly have vacation stress. Just learn to appreciate the pace of the island and roll with it. Treat the employees on the island with respect or expect a bad time. If you are a jerk while here, then you can kindly get off the island. Save that mess for Disneyland where people are paid to deal with entitled adult babies.

I'm kinda bias on this one because I love the ocean. But, it's gorgeous! It's clean, not alot of people, at the time I went (Saturday around 4). It is pay to park but not too bad. Definitely gunna be a regular stop for me.

I always have a great time when visiting Tybee Island, it's a place I visit whenever I am in Savannah and that's often. I am always encouraging others to check it out and now most of my immediate family and friends love it also. Hands down, it's better than some south American beaches that I have visited; very clean and quiet. No harassment and no dogs. Sorry, I love animals but poo on the beach is awful!!!

This beach is unique in that you will see dolphins swimming so close to the shore! I’ve been to beautiful beaches on the California coast, and I do prefer the softer sands. But this beach and pier was a unique experience worth visiting! I saw at least 15 dolphins in the mid morning. In the late morning, I didn’t see them. California beaches have very big waves but the waves here are so small, so you can see so many people going to much deeper parts of the water than you would see on the west coast! There are many people fishing as well! It was a very interesting experience!

We didn't get anything from the grill but they have a place for food and drinks. We enjoyed walking to the end and watching people fish. Some caught a couple of sharks which was awesome to see

Never been to a beach my entire life until recently. I personally loved it! Don't really have a basis of comparison, but Tybee is pretty cool in general so it gets a 5.

Tybee is historic as well as idyllic, for a relaxing beachside holiday. Water is gentle though not pristine but with an occasional dolphin family in the background!

Pier is a bit run-down, but it's a pier over the salty ocean, so it's all good. They sell bait and rent poles at the end of the pier and the people I saw fishing were catching fish. At the pavilion at the head of the pier, there's food that's priced fairly and a bar with excellent drinks at fair prices, but be forewarned - the bar and the food stands are CASH ONLY, so bring cash with you!

Parking can be challenging, but this beach is fabulous. Cash only bar with great cocktails. The beach is so large, it never feels crowded. Soft sand and clear water. Great day spent here!

Great place to watch the sunrise or sunset. Simple place, but wonderful area to spend on the beach with the family, good photo spots, fishing of the pier, and nice shops in the same area you can easily walk to.

Really nice pavilion and beach area. This is probably the busiest beach area on the island so if you want somewhere quieter I would recommend going to the other side of the island. Other then that is is a really beautiful and clean beach area with amazing views. There are bathrooms at the pavilion as well. Parking may be a little tight depending the time of day.

Very clean, friendly atmosphere, beautiful store fonts, and ocean water. Beach goers were seemingly very kind with the utmost respect for space and enjoyed the their music softly playing or watching the kids play in the sand.
