I love this place!!! Been eating at YC's since the late 1980's before Jeff bought the original location on Southern and McClintock. Service is good and I never get tired of eating the same bowl for 30 years. It's so delicious!! They keep the place clean and updated all the time. They used to have many locations but after COVID hit and they are down to 2 locations. I will keep coming to support this business. The owner Jeff is a good guy and their staff loves working for him. Here is my mix of sauces. 4 YC's own 1 Spicy Thai 1 surup 1 garlic 1 cooking wine Sesame oil in the bottle about 2 seconds of pouring out Hot oil in the bottle to your liking

Every time I go here, the food is so delicious. You choose what you want and put in a plate, then you take it to the cooks and the food is done quite quickly. I usually take to go, you get rice and soda with it. I’ll post some pictures and videos if you haven’t been there before and wonder. The food is quite a lot, I always have for the next day as well.

This was my first time going to the Tempe location since they moved out of Scottsdale, and it was very much an enjoyable experience. I shot for a large size bowl which was well priced for the amount of food and drink you get. I believe it was just a little over $16 with an egg. Fill your bowl as much as you can with meats and veggies as they cook down or fall off the cooking surface. The handy paper sheets and gloves allow you to do that. Once your food is cooked. You can help you self to the side bar for some unlimited soup and wontons, unlimited drinks, and then frozen yogurt to top it off. There is also the option of Mac & Cheese for the kids who are a little picker. One more note, if you can eat all your food you are charged. 50 for takeout boxes but it's totally worth it and no take out for the Unlimited bowl.

It's hard to find good customer service nowadays in my personal opinion. Ben the manager working the front. Greeted me Politely and with a big smile,great energy. All of the staff working had amazing customer service and very hard working! Food was hot and tasty. definitely coming back to try a different " make your own bowl " combo. Entree,drink ,dessert, everything included into one price.🔥

This is the place to go to!! Whether you want just a light meal or looking to go full blown Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest status and test the elasticity of your stomach, you can find it all here. I have been coming here for some years now and let me tell you that this is a sleeping gem for sure that is often overlooked or not heard of. It is a Mongolian style eatery, so you come in and choose from a wide selection of meats, veggies, noodles with seasonings and sauces to keep you happy for the rest of your life!! I personally always go for the Chefs Favorite Sauce recommendation and it has not steered me wrong yet. I am one of the ones who like to test my limits and end up always having to buy a to go container which is $.50 but well worth it because, Hey who doesn't love left overs? All in all you have to try this place at least 1x and it cannot be compared to imitators out there! There is only 1 YC's! So if your not near by.. well it is worth the drive.. TRUST ME!!

I absolutely love this place! The food is delicious, and the price is great! This location is taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy too! The whole staff is kind and very helpful! You wont be disappointed!!

The place is so clean! The staff is so friendly and checks up on you to make sure everything is good. They also have a lot of precautions in place to help minimize interactions with others and enforce social distancing. Also did I mention the food is delicious!

They have started the no sit down dining thing as of 3/18/20, except for outside. You have to wear gloves to fill your bowl with ingredients and only 2 people can be in line at a time. You can only get to go meals and yet, the food is still worth it. Delish.

They are practicing social distancing and everything is clean and organized, they even provide gloves while you choose your food! The cooks grilling your food are courteous and serve with a smile. The hostess even offered sauce recommendations! In addition, they have patio dining.

Started my experience with the friendliest greeting from Julissa she explained the menu and expected experience to my bf who was a first timer and made our sauces. Ben also worked the front and was very nice. Yolanda was very nice checked if everything was ok. Julio cooked our food and he was just fantastic. Already thinking about the next time we can come back. Bf thought it was an overall great experience as well. Thank you for having us.

The food in here is delicious, with one large bowl you have more than you need for a meal and you can select the ingredients, that also feel very fresh and well kept. This is a prepare your own noodle plate style restaurant, you will choose all the raw materials on your plate and at the end of the bar they will be cooked infront of you, don't forget to prepare your sauce before getting all cooked and if you don't know how to do it, there's a person that can do it for you. The ingredients feel fresh and well kept, with lot of meats, vegetables and noodle types to choose and given you the choice to have the sauce your way. There are three choices of plates (small, large and unlimited) my recommendation is you choose the large one, most people (sadly) not even finish what that plate is capable of holding. The plate includes you refill drink and unlimited rice if you are still hungry for more.

Amazing food and staff! First time here and the food was really good! We sat outside on the patio because we brought my dog and the staff literally treated him like a king! They brought him water and said “let us know if Rufus needs more water” I literally don’t think I’ve ever experienced such good food and a friendly staff at one place!

Great food, great service!!!! Ben was awesome, super attentive to the guests- - along with the staff!! It was very clean and love the glove addition to getting your food and other things along the food line! We definitely will be back!!! The chocolate and coconut ice cream was a PERFECT sweet ending to the delicious dinner.

Great place to grab a bite! I love the flavor combos, and how much food you can pack into a bowl!

The food is amazing, great meats, many veggies and noodle choices. Then there's the sause. You can make crazy combinations like teriyaki and Mongolian with some heat added. Then you see the food prepared right in front of you and you get a steaming bowl of goodness.

Awesome place to have food. Just the entire process of picking up bowl and going through the menu and filling them is exciting . The food is well cooked, sauces are yum. Staff is friendly and attentive. Just 50 cents for a to-go box shows that the owners care about the food and wastage. Must try if you're in tempe. Definitely visiting again and again.

My boyfriend and I love YCs and Maria, she’s the best and always helpful. She usually works at the other Tempe location but we were so stoked to see her working here! It’s crazy how hard that girl works, and she makes the best sauces!! So glad it’s open and really cool coronavirus accommodations for cleanliness. Can’t wait to go back!

There is no way you can go wrong eating here. Why? Because you create your own special dish from the large selection of fresh vegetables, noodles and three meats (fish, beef chicken). When you have done choosing favorites you then get to craft your own special sauce to cook your masterpiece or you could choose from the posted sauce recipes. There is an awesome-ness to crafting your own signature dish. Great food and experience.

Very delicious food, and you only pay 13 for a small bowl, and you get unlimited food in that bowl!! You can even stack it up as much as you want!! Highly recommended if your looking for a cheap, fast, and delicious meal!

The atmosphere here is like many of the Mongolian grills, which is great. The reason I have dropped my rating on this one is everything is frozen. The steak looses all of its flavor, and heavily relys on the customer choosing the right amount of spices. Also while I was here, the drink selection was not appealing for someone drinking diet drinks. Tea wasn't made, and diet Pepsi was out of service.

Great experience, our first time here. My sister kept telling us we needed to go and it didn't disappoint. We were a little out of our element when we got there but Ben in front explained what to do very well. We were shy with piling the bowls as high as we should have thats for sure.. they even helped us pick a sauce which was awesome. The COVID precautions were great, they gave you gloves to wear so you didn't touch utensils, closed certain tables for social distancing, the ONLY critique I would have is when it gets busy to have people wait outside so that people aren't shoulder to shoulder in the line. Ben came to check on us multipe times and we laughed and said my husband would pile his plate way higher next time... he offered my husband to go again since he didn't get much food I think they have excellent customer service! Coming again.

It was our first time coming here for dinner and the staff was very helpful and had some great tips and suggestions. The selections of ingredients were fresh looking and everything was stocked. They provide gloves when making your bowls and have every other table for seating. The experience was great and Ben was very helpful and friendly. Definitely will be back and recommend to friends.

June 2020: Another yummy experience! Ben the manager was friendly and checked on us after we got our food. Sammie helped me with my allergy, getting fresh rice noodles and tongs, and putting together the best sauce I've had. Marie made sure I got an allergy alert on my tray. And the cook cleaned the grill for me. Wonderful experience. I got their names because it's nice to get recognition when you go the extra mile. Sammie also came by to make sure I liked the sauce. Thanks Ben, you have a great team. Dec 2019: Great food, fresh and cooked perfectly. I got the names of the people that helped us because they were so wonderful. Maria helped with our sauces and was super sweet. Amel cooked my allergy order with caution, also cleaning the grill. And Karen was helpful and sweet. We love this place. You pack your bowl and get much more food than you can eat. Everything is fresh, cooked on the spot, and packed with flavor. I love that you can choose your exact ingredients and sauce. Price includes the bowl, drinks, soup, and if you're there during dinner time you also get soft serve ice cream. Yum!

I took my family of 5 for dinner tonight. It was a great experience. We came in at a busy time and Manager Ben made sure our family stayed together through the process and even came back a few times to check on us after we were seated. Outstanding customer service. The staff was friendly and so helpful. Ben, the manager, and Yolanda even went so far as to take my food back and add some sauce to get my bowl tasting the way I like it. Ben also wrote down the exact sauce mixture he used to fix my dish so I know what to get next time. I am extremely impressed! 1000 stars!

Great clean place, whole staff was very helpful and walk us through it all since it was our first time (me and my wife) Ben was very helpful, he helped us figure out what kind of sauce we would like. Hey Jeff! Gotta tell you what a great Manager Ben is. We reminisced about the old Metro location (my first visit was 1995). Best Mongolian restaurant in the State!!!! Baby corn, water chestnuts and pineapple! Everything else is a knock-off. All the good fixens and worth every penny. One price for meal, sides, drinks and ice cream. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come back to West side. Anything near ASU west works for us. 85304.

They have gloves for all and have marks on the floor for distances. The are also doing curbside pickup!

The restaurant is still open for dining. They have plastic gloves you use to dish up the food so that you don't spread germs. They don't give you the big bowls anymore, but instead give plastic containers to eat out of. Still quite tasty.

This place is so good! The manager, Ben, was so nice and accommodating. My daughter is very picky and was not into the whole vibe....but Ben was able to talk her into being on board and she really enjoyed herself. He made our first visit one to remember and we will be coming back again and again!

We’re in Tempe once a week from Glendale for sports and it’s safe to say that YC’s Grill will definitely be our new go-to spot for dinner. The food is amazing, the staff is helpful, and the atmosphere is great. Just left there. Long line to get to the food but the staff did well in moving people through. Additionally the staff was very helpful and friendly to my party when building out bowls. Food quality was great. Seems pricey but beyond worth it as it includes drink, soup, and rice. Staff continued to be helpful and friendly while eating. Restaurant was clean and well presentable. I love Mongolian BBQ and this place is an Arizona local business who really does this style of Asian food well. The lines are always fast moving. They have a great selection of proteins, veggies, and sauces. Soup, drink, and soft serve come with purchase. I always buy the take home box because you can never finish a whole portion. If you’ve never done Mongolian BBQ before, give it a try.

This is literally our favorite place to eat! We drive all the way down from Tolleson, Arizona! If you haven’t tried this place out, definitely consider it! My wife and I have always loved coming to YCs because of the food, but today the manager, I believe his name is Ben, made today's experience awesome. Real tentative towards me and my family. Went above and beyond with how he treated us and made us feel! If every restaurant had a Ben in their establishment it would thrive!

YCs Chandler does an awesome job at tending to returning guests, new guests and their service, quality and cleanliness is top notch! I can tell the leader Ben is proud of his store and team. The cooks know how to mix our dishes well, so tip them well! Thanks for always being consistent whether I come with friends, Family and new guests! Don't be afraid to ask for help and guidance! Stopped by on a whim today. Not sure what to expect but man!!!! Was blown away. Greeted by Ben and started off with first with top notch service and got better from there. The food was fresh and plentiful. The girls at the sauce station were over the top! Thanks to Alyssa and Jen for offering to craft us a tasty sauce and then for making some killer recommendations. They were right! A little cooking wine will make the dish right! The guys at the cooking area were nice, fast, and cleaning as they went. The place was busy but Ben didn’t disappoint with walking the room asking how things were going, offering to get drinks, helping elderly and more. Almost felt like it was an alternate reality. Couldn’t even say a bad word if I tried. Feel like I win the lottery today on a whim to grab lunch! So, shout out to the entire crew and extra thanks to Ben, Alyssa, and Jennifer for making our lunch the best we have had in Phoenix! This is a must try.

Great place. You make your own bowl of stir fry. I did a small lunch bowl and I could only eat half of it. Plenty of meat, vegetables, seasonings and sauces to chose from. Yummy! They have gloves so you're not having to touch all the germy spoons. They have 2 cooks on the grill and they definitely keep up with the flow of people. Also offered rice, brown & white, soup, chips, fresh teas and fountain drinks. It was $36bucks for 2 people. A little pricey for lunch but well worth it.

I love this restaurant, it is my favorite place to go when I visit Arizona. The fresh food is always so tasty. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful when making the sauces. It is always clean, no food on the floor. The prices have gone up, and the bowl size did seem smaller. For me it is still really worth it since I live out of state and don't make it to AZ that often. I love the shirts the staff wear and would love to buy one if they sell them.

I brought my daughter here for her 20th birthday. We really enjoyed the food. I'm so glad I found this place on Google. We are from the East Coast and I wanted her to experience a Mongolian restaurant. This place was amazing. We definitely recommend this place.

I took my family here for the first time, and it was amazing!!! The staff was so helpful when it came to making the sauce for our noodles. They definitely do not skimp on the portions either. So much yummy food for a low price. We will be coming back

So I am meeting a friend and her aunt and uncle for dinner here. When I walk in the door I am greeted by a very sweet young lady with a big smile. Her name is, Krystiana and I tell her that I have three other people coming to meet me but I need a favor from her. She says no problem how can I help you? I told her I am going to pay the bill right now and when my guests arrive I want her to ask if we have a AAA card and tell them that the meal is free with AAA discount. She says "I'm on it no problem" I go back out to my vehicle because I had got there early, well as I am on my phone not paying attention the three of them roll in and I get a phone call asking where am I? So of course I'm nervous that she has already asked them the question and my great joke will be compromised. Well I was absolutely dead wrong, as I walked in the door Uncle Dave he was going to pull one over and pay for the meal. She asked what we would like and we tell her for large bowls. She says no problem, then asked if we by chance were AAA customers? I said yes I am, as they all looked at each other I began to thumb through my phone and read off my account number and tell her my name that is associated with it. She then tap the computer screen just like we had rehearsed prior and says oh I have you right here sir, as Uncle Dave is standing there with his card she says it looks like your AAA discount you have for free meals tonight! At that point they all look at me as I am saying how great that is. Instantly they knew it was a ruse 😂 this young lady couldn't have pulled off a better job and helping me and they all talked about how great she did and even tap the computer screen they were shocked! We all laughed and said thank you to her so much especially me! Here's where it gets even better, her manager, Ben stopped by the table and asked how things were going and we told him the story. He said how great that was and he appreciates her extra effort, we all agreed. He then said if we were on Google or Yelp he would love a review and of course I already was ahead of them on that. The part that makes that so great is most managers don't even recognize employees that go above and beyond let alone ask for the customer to let other people know how great the service was. There is an old saying that says, "attitude reflects leadership" that could not be more true than in this instance! I absolutely love it when everyone understands the assignment, that extends to the customer and everyone else involved! Thank you folks for a wonderful experience!

Absolutely the best service and staff. Manager tonight was epic!!! I completely forgot to get the card for my allergy, and one of the employees helped make sure my food was safe.
