This is an absolutely amazing treasure in downtown Maryville. Filled to the brim with movie memorabilia, it’s like stepping into a movie museum. Definitely stop in for the biggest ice cream sundaes and tasty themed coffee drinks! ETA: the theater is available for events and is absolutely stunning. The ice cream shop is very fun too visit!

Very beautiful venue and amazing staff. A great experience from start to finish. Great music, lights, and food. We were there for a wedding, and it was truly magical!

We visited this historic theater after having ice cream next door. It's a beautiful old theater in downtown Maryville. It really has a prohibition era feel to it. So glad someone was able to keep this landmark viable. Heritage tourism needs places like this to add to the downtown ambiance. It's available for events and would be an incredible venue for a wedding. Any opportunity we get to attend an event there would be awesome. Stop in have some ice cream and have a look at this jewel of a theater. You cannot have a future without a past. This old girl holds a lot of memories to the people in this area. It truly is an absolute treasure and we're lucky to have it.

This is a very fun and unique place for a nice savory snack. We stopped in to get some ice cream along with some coffee. The staff was so friendly, nice and caring. They helped you understand what was on the menu and would even go out of their way to help you find something but they think you would like.

We used The Capitol for our reception Venue and we have been so grateful that we made that our decision! It was indoors, so weather proof, and air-conditioned. The atmosphere was amazing and our first dance was magical. Our guests had a blast and were taken aback by this unique and fun venue! We truly felt like VIP's with the care and treatment our coordinator dedicated to us.

We only got to order a hot chocolate but it was perfect for cool night. Went during Halloween. Friendly service, great hot chocolate, fun decor.

What a great place. We just walked in to get a scoop of ice cream at the concessions stand. The venue is beautiful! If I had an event to celebrate, I'd do it there. And the ice cream us tasty too! With a movie themed parlor. There was no lack of fun stuff to see or the walls ceiling even on the floor.

My husband and I had our wedding here on Thursday. We were traveling from Las Vegas, NV. It was an amazing experience. We were given so many compliments regarding the venue and staff. All staff was amazing. The town of Maryville is a hidden gem that is so welcoming. We can't thank each and every person enough for making our special day perfect.

The place is beautiful both the ice cream parlour and the venue itself! The staff is so friendly and makes everyone’s experience amazing! The staff feel like a small family and it was such a welcoming feeling! Please visit this place!!!

So much fun! Delightful ice cream parlor where you can choose to have your ice cream in the vintage theater or the actual ice cream parlor which has Back to the Future,Ghostbusters,Wizard of Oz memorablia to name a few things to see. Not to even mention the extraordinary ice cream!

We had our reception at the Capitol and it was the best decision that we made. The venue is gorgeous and the temperature was fantastic for a July wedding. We chose to add on the lights package and it was awesome!!! Our guests loved the Pyro and bubbles that made the dance portion of the night incredible. We truly felt like celebrities on our special day. The food was delicious and the photo booth was such a fun experience for our guests. Most importantly, Haley coordinated the event for us and made everything so easy. Every aspect of our wedding was well timed and executed and she was such a pleasure to work with. All we had to do was show up. The Capitol cooked and served the food, set up the cake and decorations, and cleaned up everything at the end of the night. On both a hot and rainy day in July, we had a venue that was inside in the air conditioning, visually stunning and well coordinated, and we had to do zero work for the reception. For so many reasons, this is the best venue in the area to choose for a wedding!!

It has been three months since my wife and I got married. Until now, I considered myself somewhat of a writer. Thanks, in part, to my growing up during the “emo" era of the early 2000’s … I would, on occasion, jot down poems, short stories, and songs without much fuss. However, for the past three months, I have severely struggled putting into words my overall experience at our selected venue... The Capitol Theatre in Maryville, TN. I was finally able to put together a full review via word document. Copy and pasted into the Google Review box (first time reviewer) and it said I was beyond capacity on character count. Soooo.... *Insert a VERY detailed account of my time at/with the Capitol Theatre, here. * In closing, and simply put, I could not have created a more perfect place, for my wife and I to get married, in my wildest dreams. It was literally like stepping into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory for the first time. The Capitol Theatre checked all the boxes. Had everything we wanted and more... From the opening crawl to the end credits... our wedding will forever be remembered and I/we just want to thank Haley, Heath, and the rest of the Capitol Theatre gang. Thank you for everything. You guys were/are simply amazing in every way possible. P.S. Ask about the Emerald room and go ahead and splurge to get the boujee vip lighting... you won't be sorry.

What a great place! A lot of memorabilia from movies. We went right around Christmas and I was so caught up in getting pictures of that, that I forgot to take pictures of the cafe!

Amazing place for a venue for any event. We had our wedding there. Haley, Chelsea, and the rest of the staff were wonderful especially since we were from out of town. The pictures do not do this place justice at all! My jaw dropped when I first saw the venue in person .

Photographed a corprate Christmas party last Friday. EVERYTHING was perfect. Lobby had the white tree, and sitting room, the back of the theater featured the BIG TREE, and areas where the food line and volume drink dispencers were stationed. The next level down is seating area that wasn't cramped, and is very elegant. Down to the lower level there are one more line of tables, a huge dance floor, and a mini bar on the left. A full stage set the ambiance in front. The DJ ing was the best I've ever experianced! Videos ran on a screen at the back of the stage and the mix was very enjoyable. Please enjoy some pictures, event was private so you wont really see the people. Oh, adjacent to the lobby is an icecream parlor featuring premium offerings and decore to be discussed for days!

If you like coffee, ice cream, and love movies. Then this place will become your new addiction. If the theater is not rented and open to the public, definitely the place to sit and enjoy yourself. This place is magical. Gremlin is my preferred item on the menu.

The Capitol Theater made our wedding day the most special, intimate, detailed day. The team treated us so well with timing, staging, music, and flowers structured around our requests. There was no stress - I mean ZERO! Haley is amazing. She provided recommendations for makeup & hair, sourced our flowers, photographer, and took complete ownership and pride in all things "us” to achieve perfection. I have never felt more seen and respected in terms of event planning and execution. I highly recommend this venue for all events!

We have our company Christmas party here every year. Amazing experience every time. Staff is great! Food is great! The ice cream shop is a great hit at the end of the night. Highly recommend!

Our church held our Christmas party for the Children’s Ministry at the Capitol Theatre and we had a wonderful experience! The venue is beautiful and Haley and her team were very kind, helpful, and great to work with!

Haley and the staff at Capitol Theater were Top Notch in everyway aspect of our event. They were very thorough and professional, from the inital meeting, to the referral of business partners to help complete our package. They made our event walk-in simple, stress-free and easy. We own an event center, so we can appreciate the well trained staff, and the execution of everything was beyond our expectations. The Venue is beautiful and everyone had a great time .
