👍👍 Great experience! I’ve never rode a horse as an adult. It was definitely worth the experience. Really nice trip for our anniversary. Friendly staff with thorough instructions. The horses are very well mannered. I love all their different personalities! I rode Elvis the lil butt muncher and my husban... Beautiful trails! Took a guided tour here with a friend and our guide was Laura who was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and friendly! It was just the three of us so it wasn’t crowded at all which made it more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a quick getaway trail ride this is the place for you. This is one of the only barns in Louisville that offer public trail rides.

My daughter and I went on a trail ride today. I am close to the weight limit, so trail riding can be intimidating. They were kind and supportive from the first contact until the end. The trails are beautiful. Booking was easy, and all rules are clearly stated. The trail guides were patient, and respectful to everyone. There was a first time rider in our group and he did a great job. A Perfect end to our Kentucky vacation!

Our guide was super friendly and overall we had a nice time. However, I was the only one in the group placed on a horse wearing a muzzle and was told the male I would be riding "likes to be in the butt of the horse in front of him." That's all that was said about it. Midway through the trail, as we were crossing at the creek, he got too close to the horse in front of us (that doesn't like to be touched from behind) and it kicked backwards striking me in the knee. In hindsight, guides should ride the animals with special temperaments/behaviors OR I should have been given additional instructions about keeping this particular horse farther back to protect myself from being injured. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Being kicked by a horse is very painful and days later I'm still recovering. Outside of that, everything would have been great.

Really fun ride. Horses very calm and easy going. Scenery very beautiful. They stop half way and take pictures for you which is really nice. The girls leading our ride were very nice and always checking in to make sure everyone was ok. Highly recommend even for people who have never been on a horse.

Kayla was an amazing guide as we set out for our nature trail ride early this morning. My horse, Pippin, was gentle and easy-going. We saw a hawk and a gorgeous buck. The scenery was breathtaking and it was so therapeutic to get back in the saddle. Always wanted to learn and it’s great to know they offer lessons as well!

Me and my girl scout troop had an wonderful time. This was an first for all my girl and an experience. Age range from about 7 to 9. The trainer was very professional and patient. We plan on coming back next year.

The girls were very professional and knowledgeable. I loved that the love that they had for the horses showed. They knew each by name and all their quirks. I felt very comfortable.

My sister and I were visiting in Louisville for a weekend we drove to the center for the adventure ride. The staff the horses, the trail 100% recommend we had the best experience! Even though both of us have had experience riding horses, these horses really know the path and anyone at any level of experience could easily enjoy this ride. The staff are all super friendly and very safe. They provide a helmet and the tour guide checks in often while riding. I would go back every day if closer!

On a stunning autumn morning, my husband and I embarked on a memorable horseback ride, guided by the wonderful Lindsey. This experience was especially significant for my husband, who had never ridden a horse before. The staff's exceptional support not only made him feel at ease but also instilled confidence in him as we journeyed through the enchanting woods, eventually reaching the picturesque open fields..

We booked the Adventure Trail Ride. Serene was our guide, she was AMAZING! We had a few bumps along the trail, and at one point our teenager that was with us needed to trade horses with Serene. During which the horse she was going to mount kicked out at our teenagers horse. This cause her horse to sidestep/jumped out and our teenager kept her seat like she's been riding all her life! Serene stated that had never happened with her before and our teenage companion was officially a cowgirl for keeping her seat and not freaking out. The Ride was beautiful and we saw deer, vultures, and a hawk. We went up and down hills, and thru a creek. I highly recommend Red Fern Riding Center if you are visiting Louisville Ky, it's only a 30 minute drive from Downtown.

I absolutely adore this group! My son and I went a few years ago and we just went with out of town friends and had a blast! The guides are always so friendly and trail knowledgeable. They pair horses to humans very well. We will be back for more rides

Our family (from young ones to grandparents) vacationed in Kentucky this month, and riding at Red Fern was part of the fun. Some in our group were experienced, but most had little to no time in the saddle. Our guide (Evelina) and her helpers made everyone feel comfortable, and their friendly banter relaxed us and taught us about the property and the horses. Those too young to go on a trail ride were given lessons and led around the corral. The smiles and enthusiasm from all ages showed it was a wonderful morning. Many thanks…and keep up the beautiful mission there!

We had the absolute best time on our 90 min ride! The horses were big sweethearts and the trails were so beautiful. Molly, Hannah, and Lindsay were very nice, helpful, and friendly! 10/10 would recommend!

We ended up in Louisville for a quick 4 day vacation in April and we almost blindly picked out the Red Fern Riding Center mostly because it was one of the closest trail riding center. We picked the adventure trail because we have done a few trail rides and we wanted the full experience. We had perfect weather and rode up and down the mountains in a beautiful slightly shaded trail. Over the hills and through the woods! We had an amazing time in a small group with our trail expert Evangeline who answered all of our newbie questions and showed us the beautiful Kentucky mountainside. Id reccomend these well tamed horses to anyone who is interested. Whether its your first time or youve done it a few times its a blast. Only thing I wanted to do is get up to a canter but I understand why thats not possible on a trail ride through the mountains. 5 stars! When we come back to Louisville we will be returning!

I've always been horse averse, but my wife loves to ride. So, for her birthday we trekked out to Red Fern for an adventure ride. Our guide, Eveline, was tremendous. It was a perfect experience for someone who had never ridden a horse (me), but was much more interesting than a simple pony ride. My assigned horse, Lily, loves to stop and eat grass, which was OK - when I got tired of waiting I would give her a little nudge and away we went. I'm left wondering if Lily still thinks about me, too. I'll probably go back to see her again.

Horse riding was on my parent’s bucket list…we had a fabulous experience at Red Fern Riding! Our group was ages 11-75 & we were all beginners. Our guide (Madeline) was fabulous! We had fun getting to know our horses & the trails were beautiful. The scenic ride was an hour well spent for a memory that will last a lifetime & a check on a bucket list!

My boys loved their first riding lesson. Great beginning rider lesson. Instructor was patient and caring with my littlest, who was very nervous.

April and Carissa were our guides. They were terrific. My daughter had never ridden a horse before and had a lot of anxiety. April put her at ease and she really enjoyed the ride. They were so friendly and sweet.
