I understand the food is donated and the stores give the pantry the stuff that has a used by date already expired. I am not picky by any means cause I am homeless at the moment but when they start giving you juice that has a huge glob of green mass and moldy bread I begin to start wondering what they are really doing there? Anyways the staff are great people but they need to be more attentive with the food.

Been coming to this food pantry on and off for years. They do such a great job. I really like how they converted to a drive thru system, it's streamlined the process and you don't even have to get out of your car. Which is fantastic, perfect for seniors, and those with mobility issues. The food is good quality and quantity, plenty to keep me afloat. I'd recommend to friend. Happiness :-D

Today I came home with moldy tomatoes, yellow peppers, and honeydoo melon. All uneatable. One third of the produce were ultra sweet desserts. There were a few things worth keeping. 2% milk ok. Oat drink that they try to pass as milk, NOT okay. Eggplant, okay, but really who is going to cook that? Cherries and kale are fresh. The 2Bananas need to be eaten today .most people are nice enough, but the people who load the food into the trunk should NOT be giving out moldy old food. They load it individually so they know, and if they did that at a grocery store, they'd be fired.

First of all I must tell thanks so much for helping and thanks for organized, very respectful and kindly. But just a comments Today at 08/21/20 I go there for pickup food and when I back to home I surprised for some expired date on products. I share the pictures.... It's not make sense on food donation!!

I volunteer there 2 days a week. I enjoy being able to help the many families in need of food. There are many volunteers to help unload trucks, sort eggs, meat vegetables, and produce. However the food pantry is always in need of volunteers. We are always short handed. More people volunteer around the holidays which is great but we are in need of more volunteers durning the rest of the year

I serve as a volunteer and the pantry strives to serve as many families and unhoused people as we can.

They're very friendly and very giving. I recommend this if you're in need of an emergency bag of food. Also if you tell them you have a stove you'll get things you can cook and it does make a difference if you tell them or not.

They are the kindest most awesome people. Bless them all. I love every person I have ever met at the church where they have the pantry. I don't go to church or practice any religion. But when me and my lady had no place to go we woyld hang out there and they have a garden and a cool big stone like an art piece and sometimes friends would meet us there and even when we were in front of the pasters office door charging my phone because it was the only outlet i could find he didnt ask us to leave and insisted we stay and stepped around us. Kindest people I have ever met. People of Los Angeles could learn a thing or two from them about treating others how you would like to be treated. When we had nothing they gave us kits with basic necessities and so much food we were trying to give it away. We told them we didnt have a fridge or a kitchen. But they said they had to give it away. I felt terrible throwing some away because we couldnt eat that much. We had been so hungry it was such a drastic change to feast like that. Doing gods work over there.

I volunteer once per week. I retired and needed to stay busy but found it very rewarding. I never knew how badly people need this.

This place saved my life. They never let up, always hustling to feed people under the toughest of circumstances. Like wearing masks outside on 100° days as they load food into trunks of people chilling in their cars with ac blasting.

Very kind individuals and I definitely appreciate everyone's volunteer time to provide the community with food! Especially during these hard times. I gave them 3 stars though because I didn't appreciate that they allowed a car to cut the line. This car said it was their first time. It was also mine but that didn't mean I could cut the line. I waited an hour and I think it's unfair that he only waited 10min. If they have rules, they should enforce them. Otherwise why bother?

All we needed was our IDs. Really quick process. Waiting in line didn’t even matter it was over before we knew it

Great service. Great welcoming people. In my basket about 30% of food was expired for a day or two. Still a good option if you are desperately in need of food. You can get food once a week only.
