Excellent dinner service! I have come to this restaurant an excess amount of times and never have I been disappointed. Not only is the venue of the building awesome; with the working fireplaces and the dim lighting beaming off the log structures, the food is also fantastic. The baked potatoes are something you can’t get anywhere else with their unique battered style. The steaks I have ordered are never improperly cooked and the tenderness is unlike any other. Their aged meat isn’t a joke, I have never had a sirloin anywhere else be just as or more tender than a New York strip; not to even start on flavor. I would also like to recommend their steak and avocado egg rolls as a starter; I am not an appetizer guy but these are worth it. The service is excellent, and I get seated within’ the estimated time always. Thank you Ruby River for never disappointing, I would recommend this place to anyone.

Ruby river is incrediblly good, it is definitely not cheap but it tastes incredible. I love the raspberry lemonade and the New York steak, the fries also were pretty solid. The atmosphere here is pretty awesome as well, it feels like you're in a real log cabin, I also enjoy the dim lighting. The good service was also great plus.

Ruby River has been around for so long! Beautiful building with a ton of parking. Did a late lunch here & I had a veggie burger. Fries are amazing, first of all. Veggie burger was pretty basic & simple. Nothing too great, but also not terrible. Southwestern chicken salad, with no chicken, was colorful & yummy, although it looks a little drab in the picture. The mashed potatoes are a favorite! & apparently the steak too. 😉 we had a pretty big group but the staff seemed to get everyone’s orders correct. Drinks took a while to receive, as well as food. The checks took about an hour to receive after we were done eating. 😵‍💫

It's what you should expect from a steak house. The food is good and the service is friendly and the prices aren't bad and setting feels nice It's a bit dim which creates a nice atmosphere and kind of puts off a at home vibe when your inside.

We came here for the first time today and it was the best service we have ever experienced anywhere! We went to the bar for our meal and our server Brock was simply amazing! He was sweet and was great to make conversation with. He kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. Even the bartender and manager would check up on us. We were really impressed with the service especially from Brock and the food was absolutely delicious! Brock is without a doubt the perfect server! Thank you for giving us the best date night we’ve had in a while!

I drive past this place all the time and always wanted to try it out; we finally went for the first time and unfortunately it will be the last time. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and outside and quite spacious. It is pretty dim inside, giving off a nice ambiance. However, some of the staff seemed unsure of what they should be doing in their role so the service was not great and not too good either. The hostess, let me know there was a wait time of about 40 minutes so she points to a table full of people and says you can wait there… We get seated and we ordered a tortilla soup and they brought it with saltine crackers as they were out of tortillas… maybe ask the customer if that is ok or if they prefer something else when an item is out. Once we did get our meal, our waiter never came back to check on us or if we needed anything… However, they did wrap my filet mignon with bacon and they also deep fry their baked potatoes so that was different than most places but the steak itself was not any better (if any) than Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse tbh. The bathroom only had two stalls and one was out of service and the other one that was open was not very clean. I’m so disappointed I didn’t like this place! Updated 10/18/2022: Manager will reach out to “try and make it better.” Well I have reached out to Brandon, after his initial response 3 weeks ago and as of now still no response.

Went out for a birthday and decided to try here as it didn't have a long wait time. The food was delicious, the steak and chicken were boyh really good! Service could have been a little better as it took a long time for someone to come visit our table for even our initial drink order, then we ran out of drinks and no one available to refill so had to wait to keep eating.

I was impressed. The interior and exterior of the building were just awesome! My food was cooked perfectly. The only complaint I had was being served a lemon slice with the Blue Moon, instead of an Orange slice. He did inform me he knew they just didn't have any. Which made the experience with the service very appealing. No arguments nor was I made to feel stupid. I will be headed back before my time in the area is up. Definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

Food was really good and service was quick. My husband was wanting steak and we didn’t want to wait for Texas Roadhouse, so we came here. I’d never been here before. Food was a little more expensive than we’re used to, but not absurdly so. I got a dish I would typically never try- the Salmon Oscar. It was delicious! I was very pleasantly surprised. My husband enjoyed his steak and he loves his sides of mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. I got the jacketed yam candied as my side, and I was a little disappointed in it. It’s a yam that has been battered and fried- which was a fun change. But I paid extra to have it candied and I didn’t feel like there was enough candied flavor. Other then that, the meal was spot on!

Had a burger and onion rings. Burger was medium well...well...well and onion rings over cooked and crispy Wife had ribeye. Ribeye was cooked medium rare which was correct bit the meat was tough. Needed a much sharper knife. Asperagus was raw. Server was good though. She was attentive and friendly. The building itself is very nice. Its log cabin theme and its a bit run down.

I got the porterhouse and my son got the NY strip. Mine was medium but cooked more towards the medium well direction. He got his medium well and inwould consider it medium well. The flavors of the steaks were identical. I have had better steaks the reason for not giving a 5 star. Also my sons asparagus was bland with the flovoring. The fried pickles were top notch, large and homemade. I would go again and get the NY strip my son had over the porterhouse. Better bang for the buck i feel.bThe potatoes are baked and then fried quickly to have an outer crispy covering. That was something I had not had before, but I liked it. The salad was great as well. The bill was $67 before tip.

Ruby River Steakhouse is still a favorite of mine. I still remember the old days of the big bowl of shrimp that they used to being out. While they don’t do that any more the food is yummy and cooked as you ordered it. The service was great and fast. The dinner was delivered so effectively that we felt like we had not been there long enough or we could have just been so hungry and the food so good we gobbled it down. I apologize for not taking pictures but it had been a long day and we didn’t. But just want to acknowledge the service and the great dining experience. We will see you soon. Have that ribeye ready for us. Our daughter loved the fish and chips. Thank you and see you again soon. They also have a military discount my fellow Veterans. And thank you Ruby River for that.

So we showed up and got seated, found a old used steak knife on the floor, it had been there for a while as it was crusty, old food still on the floor. Looks like the cleaning needs to be improved. Over all was not impressed. Food was ok. Not great. Found bugs crawling all over the pepper shaker. Server was the only good thing about the whole experience

Awesome food. The steak was savory and properly prepared, super tender and tasty. The deep fried baked potato is a must! The rustic frontier architecture is beautiful. The atmosphere is clean, not too dark, not too noisy. The only caveat was the service was excellent if a little slow. I think staffing might be an issue.

We had been excited to try this place for some time. The atmosphere was fun, but the food seemed overpriced for its quality.

Great atmosphere. I love the architecture of this building! Popular place! Had to wait about 40 minutes on a Monday evening. (Short staffed for an unexpectedly busy Monday.) Our server was fairly attentive, though she was also occupied with a large party, so patience was required on our part. Ordered a Build Your Own appetizer (chose cheese fries, artichoke dip, and coconut shrimp). My husband's favorite was the coconut shrimp. Mine was the cheese fries. (I love the dipping sauce!) The artichoke dip had plenty of large pieces of artichoke...for those who like it that way. I personally prefer smaller pieces of artichoke and more cheese sauce. That said, flavor was good. Both of our salads were plentifully dressed. (I think next time I'll ask for the dressing on the side.) Ordered Steak Oscar. Nice blend of flavors. Steak was excellent! My husband ordered the New York and the garlic buttered broccoli. Steak was great! He expected the broccoli to be fork tender and tossed in melted garlic butter. Instead, the broccoli was tough, and there was a scoop of garlic butter that wasn't melting at all (broccoli not very warm)... less than satisfying. Despite the shortcomings, it was a positive experience overall.

We were sat at a table and waited 35 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us and take our drink order. Then it took another 30 minutes to get the complimentary bread and the bread was BARELY like warm. We had 5 different people at our table doing different things and we weren’t even sure who our server was and who to tip. Our food was also barely warm. The only thing decent was our drinks 🙄 this place has definitely gone downhill

Our server Bailey was great! However, the food was a mixed review. We tried the steak and avocado eggrolls, which were completely over fried, bland, no flavor, and the outer shell or batter was disgusting. Extremely disappointed and we didn't eat the other 3. The calamari was exceptional, which saved the appetizer order. I tried the steak Oscar and I ordered my steak medium, which was rare to medium rare. Very little crab on the steak and obly one asparagus spear topped my steak. The broccoli that accompanied the steak was awesome. My friend ordered another steak medium well, which was medium rare...she was too polite to say anything. My son ordered the porterhouse medium rare, which was medium well. He said the mashed potatoes were good. Though we wanted dessert, we decided not to chance it.

Tried this place for the first time last night for my husband's birthday and everything was delicious!! I don't think I'll be able to eat regular baked potatoes ever again. Staff did a great job even with being super busy!

I have come here multiple times and have never had an issue. Food is great and service is always great too. Their steaks are excellent and at a great price point. The ambiance isn't my favorite but the food is worth it!

I am extremely disappointed to report that my recent visit to Ruby River was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had. Despite the exceptional quality of their steakhouse cuisine, the service was a complete letdown. I understand that it was a busy occasion, but the restaurant had only four tables occupied during our 20-minute stay. Despite this, my party had to wait an hour to receive our food, and even then, two sides were missing. To make matters worse, the attitude of our female server was terrible. Despite repeatedly informing her about the missing sides, she showed no concern and simply said that they would arrive shortly. After waiting another 20 minutes, we finally received our fries and rice. Meanwhile, other tables of different family sizes were seated and served their food before us. It was infuriating to see huge plates of food being handed to families who arrived after us. Overall, it is clear that the restaurant's young wait staff lacked organization and coordination. While the food at Ruby River is exceptional, be prepared to deal with a neglectful wait staff. I used to recommend this restaurant, but after this experience, I cannot in good faith do so. I hope that the restaurant management takes note of this feedback and makes improvements to their service.

I grew up eating home grown steaks and normally do not like the flavor of beef cuts in restaurants. Today I took a chance and had one of the best steaks that I ever had (Pepper Bacon Sirloin). Our server, Josh, was attentive and helpful. A great meal - we will return. 😊

We had a great date night! Josh was a great server! I am gluten free and they were so accommodating they even have a gluten free menu! Josh was so fun and friendly! Definitely would recommend and definitely coming back! Also recommend their buffalo wings are top notch.

I've never been here before, and it was so good. Our server Joshua was the best! We had a sort of non work sponsored Christmas lunch with about 15 people. I got the garlic sirloin and a non alcoholic Pina colada. We also ordered the onion appetizer. Great atmosphere too.

We were told the wait would be 30-40 minutes, but we ended up waiting an hour and a half. There was a bug at our table right when we sat down. The waiter apologized and handled it well. He gave us a percentage off our check for it. Service was spectacular! The green salads were everything they were advertised to be, and there the bread for the table was good. I ordered the coconut shrimp with the top sirloin, and my husband ordered the top serloin with the ribs. The coconut shrimp were amazing, and if i go back, it will be just for those! My steak was overcooked, but my husband's was perfect. The ribs fell off the bone but really had no flavor. I think next time, I'll just order the coconut shrimp to go.

Good food but too much noise and confusion. It was hard to communicate with your staff and they were obviously much to busy, while all of them had helpful friendly attitudes. Not a comfortable environment. I prefer to be served with more control.

It has come a long way down. 27 years ago we had our first date here. This was our 26 year wedding anniversary. The steak was good just to be clear. Had a baked potato tasted rotten. Never got an appetizer and canceled it since our food was now at the table. The building is starting to slip, particularly the restroom. Person at the door didn't know what to do. Server was nice, when they were around which in our book says a lot.

Visited last week with a party of about 35 and Bailey took care of us. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our food so much that we went back tonight and Lauren was our server. Amazing food and the service exceeded our expectations once again. Very pleased with both visits.

It was our servers second day on the job. Her service was slow. Our appetizers were cold. I ordered my steak, medium rare. It came out medium, but I didn’t dare send it back because it took forever to get our food. She auctioned off our food at the table. She didn’t know who ordered what. She was very nice. It’s not her fault that the cooks cooked the food wrong, but I do not believe that she was trained properly.

Not a good experience at all. We haven't been here in a long time, so we thought we'd give it a try. My daughter found a hair in her drink, my wife's salmon was way overcooked and my $20 medium rare steak was cooked well done. Food was over seasoned (too salty). If I was paying for the meal I would have returned most of the food, but I didn't want to embarrass the people we were with. Not worth the $200+. We will not be back.

The steak was cooked to perfection. The sweet potato fries really tied the meal together. I loved the entire experience.
