😠 The ER here is a joke. Took my 5 year old there yesterday because she's been fighting 101-103 fever for days, with a barking cough and they said it's allergies. I've never known allergies to cause high fevers. Before that I went in with gallbladder pain, KNOWING that's what it was because I've been... People often mention hospital, care, Bach, time, told, military, doctor, people, year, pain,

The ER here is a joke. Took my 5 year old there yesterday because she's been fighting 101-103 fever for days, with a barking cough and they said it's allergies. I've never known allergies to cause high fevers. Before that I went in with gallbladder pain, KNOWING that's what it was because I've been dealing with it for over 2 years, and they told me my gallbladder is perfectly fine, I'm now waiting on a surgeon to call me because I'm supposed to get it removed for how bad off it is. They diagnosed me with acid reflux which I've never had in my life and why would that be pain on my right part of my abdomen?

It doesn’t look like a busy night at the E.R. but they will either ignore you or just gather around the nurse station to just talk. if i could honestly give a zero star i would. very unprofessional mostly when everyone can see or hear what they are talking about. Also most of them are very rude and I understand working in the medical field is a lot of ups and downs but i’ve never been to a hospital that has so much unprofessional workers.

Fort Campbell, as a military installation, has protocols and procedures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of those within its premises. However, the policy of not allowing mothers to be accompanied by their children at Bach poses a logical dilemma. Given that many mothers, especially those in military families, may lack immediate access to alternative childcare options, this policy potentially leads to missed appointments and essential services. Furthermore, the policy seems inconsistent when considering that other public institutions, such as courthouses or DMVs, typically allow children to accompany their parents. Every institution, especially one as integral as Fort Campbell, has a moral duty to support and facilitate the welfare of its community members. For mothers, this often means ensuring their children are close, especially in unfamiliar or stressful settings. It’s crucial for institutions to exhibit flexibility and understanding, particularly in settings where family support systems may be sparse due to deployments or relocations. Imagine the stress of a mother, already juggling the challenges of a military lifestyle, being told she cannot bring her child with her. The anxiety of finding last-minute childcare, the worry of leaving her child with someone unfamiliar, or the heartbreak of missing an essential service or appointment because she has her child with her. Beyond the practical implications, there is a profound emotional toll that such a policy can exact on mothers and their children. The feelings of exclusion, inconvenience, and distress are palpable. While it’s understood that policies are often established for safety and operational reasons, it’s essential to continually reevaluate these policies in light of their impacts on community members. By doing so, Fort Campbell can ensure it’s truly serving the best interests of all those who depend on its services.

Seriously? This is the best we can offer for our soldiers?! My husband went into the ER after not being able to walk for 6 HOURS because of back pain after an incident at PT. He can't even walk out of the hospital, and you tell him to go to work tomorrow?! You claim you don't have time to do an x-ray?! What the absolute hell are you there for?! YOU ARE AN ER, YOU HAVE TIME! Sick call, really? THEY SENT HIM TO YOU BECAUSE IT IS THAT BAD! Best believe that if his back is broken, we are coming after you for malpractice. This is absolutely ridiculous!

For the emergency room unless it involves a grave injury or illness, wait until another day or spend the few hundred dollars to be seen privately. The department seems horrifically understaffed and my visits always have been 6-12 hours. They can only provide OTC medications and non-binding medical recommendations for most issues. If you do need to go, take phone chargers, bedding, and food. You will likely be there effectively overnight

I am a veteran and have retired from the army. I have used Bach over the years while I was active duty. My wife starting in January 2023 has had three surgeries here at Bach. Our experience has been deplorable at best. Every single person that we have spoke to at Bach. From nurse to doctor to person at front desk. Are the rudest and completely lacking in any kind of communication skills or ability to make your time at Bach a good experience. I have been lied to to my face by a doctor, my wife has been told different information that was completely false. We have had to get second and third opinions off post just to get the truth and or a healthy way to help your illness. I beg all active duty service members both on and off post to have your spouses and children Please go anywhere else other than Bach. If I had a choice between Bach and a veterinarian, I would see the veterinarian. Please spouses and children I implore you go somewhere else other than Bach. If you care greatly about your health or the health of your family you need to go anywhere else to get well and have your illness treated properly. I have talked to people at the hospital over my experiences, and every single time they take Bach and the doctor side. You will get no help from anyone there. I have tried since January of this year. No one there will give you respect or address the problem in anyway. The second you tell the soldier advocate what is going on he will dismiss you tell you he’s going to do something and you’ll never get a phone call back or here if anything was done and what was done to remedy the problem. Two different Soldier advocates. I spoke to both of them or dismissive became protective of the doctors and Bach. There is no way to receive any kind of help even when presenting them with factual evidence. They will immediately try and just dismiss you. So I say again please go anywhere other than Bach. This is the worst healthcare location on any military installation. Please do not become a victim. Of Bach on Fort Campbell. Our soldiers and their families do not in any way deserve to have a healthcare system set up to systemically and systematically treat people with disrespect and make your experience at Bach the worst you’ll ever have in any healthcare system.

I took my 75 year mom there today because she hurt her knee yesterday. She could barely walk. The nurse that came to take her to Xray didn't help her get in the wheel chair so I did it. The Xray nurse took her in the room and I couldn't go in she said he stood behind her with his arms crossed and didn't help her. He wheeled her back to the emergency and didn't help her get back in bed I had to do it. If you don't like your job get another one. They don't have and beside manners. I hope she never has to go back there!

The "service" at this place is absolutely disgusting to me. You'd think for being a place that serves the people who have served for our country, they would care a little more. My husband was turned away TWICE and told to go to sick hall and told he "just had a virus" when zero tests were completed to confirm that. He's consistently had a fever of 103 for 3 days now, and went to the ER for a reason but made to feel like his health and well-being do not matter and are a waste of their time. I'm completely disgusted and angry, definitely don't waste your time there.

I’ve been waiting for 2 hours to get my wound looked at. There’s literally a chick bawling her eyes out in immense pain sitting in a wheelchair in the corner and a pregnant mother who’s sick and looks like she’s about to keel over… along with the 12 other people waiting. It’s a shame that this is the treatment that service members are relegated to. With no other options, we’re forced to suffer here. The hospital seems grossly mismanaged and the level of care provided is neither extensive nor timely. Shame on this hospital and the leaders who manage it.

Took my two sick kids in and it was a relatively good experience and reasonable wait time. Waited overall maybe an hour before going back, then the actual appt was around another hour. However the majority of the actual appt time was them waiting on our kids' medications to be filled, meaning they had the prescriptions sent over from a pharmacy elsewhere so that we didn't have to go wait all over again. That's the reason for five stars here and I was soooo thankful for them having the prescriptions filled for us! Overall great care for our first time 👍

Wife took our oldest in for suspected ear infection. They needed to clean her ears out to get a better assessment of her ear drum and canal, didn’t use a catcher or any kind of bin to catch the water coming out her ears. When my wife asked about anything to catch the water, staff replied “we don’t have anything right now”. Could’ve used any kind of basin or something to prevent ear wax and water soaking my daughter. My daughter sat there in the hospital bed soaked until they discharged her. Wife talked to staff about our concerns before discharge.

My spouse has had a few appointments here with a Primary Care Provider CPT Larocco and she was fine and always available, and on time to meet her patients of which my spouse was 1 and we appreciated it. BUT things have taken a HUGE turn for the WORST when Primary Care Provider Rachel Stevens decided to accept my spouse as a part of her customer list. My spouse needs to be seen for several things and TWICE now she has CANCELLED and there is no reason for it leaving my spouse bewildered and the hospital calls and says you have no appointment anymore and there is no alternative Provider nobody at all of the hundreds of staff in the hospital nobody cannot possibly see my spouse at all whatsoever for her schedule appointment for second time and they won’t even bother to try. This is the most disgustingly disrespectful form of customer service i have ever seen. If there was somebody we could report this to for them to get some corrective actions to take place and make these see there are consequences for actions like this it would most definitely appreciate it.

I hope you’re prepared to wait for hours after your triage. Took over an hour just for triage and been waiting for over 2 hours since. Waiting room is not packed. The wait times are truly unacceptable at this emergency room. There is a reason this place has a 2 out of 5 stars for the rating. If you can go somewhere else you may want to try that first, or if you’ve got nothing but time, I welcome you to wait. I’m not sure if they’re so utterly understaffed that it’s detrimental or not. Just be fore warned.

If I could give them a zero I would. The ER physical’s assistant was dismissive and made the nurse explain everything. Got the wrong diagnoses and he completely ignored everything else. I’m also pregnant and the PA literally told me he doesn’t know if this will hurt the baby or if I keep having my symptoms that it’ll hurt the baby. Why is he even working there if he doesn’t know anything then gives me the wrong diagnoses after admitting to not know what is wrong. Absolute joke and after reading other comments I am flying back to Alaska just to deliver my baby with better healthcare. This place is a joke. Edit: I found out I actually had a miscarriage when i was misdiagnosed for something else. I ended up with a missed miscarriage because the PA there insisted I was just having anxiety with my first pregnancy. No, I was having a miscarriage and he ignored it.

Went to the ER, expecting to be seen according to the triage. I realize a catbite is not on top of the list, I knew I was about to wait while more sick and injured patients arrived. I was still seen in a timely manner considering. Mr. Larson, and PA Zydel checked on me several times. It is evident that they care. I received education related to my injury, and how to avoid it in the future. Great Team!

My wife had some medical issues and went for testing. She called me afterwards about how the doctor was brief and almost rushed her out if there. He did not label her labs and dropped them in the hall. She was worried. She was then told she a lab result came back positive, which was not only impossible, but did not line up with the symptoms she went there with in the first place. She immediately went off post to 3 different urgent cares and received the same test within days of her prior test. All came back negative. She contacted the hospital and they had her prove with the other negative tests results along with other requests she did to prove that there was no way their test was correct. After a year and a half of fighting they still refuse to fix her report. She has gone through patient advocacy and HIPPA since her medical profile has no been drug through the mud and in order to fight for herself she is forced to tell random people over the phone this embarrassing information. Even after the negative tests are within days of a positive test, she never took medicines to clear up the issue even though prescribed (proof they were never picked up at the pharmacy) and after she had filed a report about the doctor rushing around and dropping off multiple lab results. We even met with Col Myers who said he’d look into it and came back with months later when he ran into my wife at her job off post that “there was nothing he could do”. We have contacted other hospitals and doctor offices outside of the military to see how they would handle such situation and they would be able to take it off your record with the amount of proof that a test was wrong. Hands down worse military hospital, not that there’s very many good ones but you’d think they’d hold staff accountable along with fight for their patients. They don’t.

After being neglected by Tennova I came here. I was in pain, pain that Tennova ignored. I went into the ER waited maybe 20 minutes before being triaged then maybe another 20 before being brought back for an ultrasound. We waited for about an hour for results from that ultrasound when I was informed I needed surgery. I waited about another hour and was then taken to my room to be admitted overnight. Dr. Chang did great and took great care of me. My nurses were super nice and also did an amazing job with my care. They followed up with me over the course of three days after I went home. They answered all of my questions and then some. I can’t say enough good things.

Blanchfield has always come through for our family. Gave birth there in the 90's, had several procedures, and they've never hesitated to help. I find giving respect to the process and using the many other resources and options available to all military families can make a difference in your overall quality of care.

Well normally this is backwards but bach really took care of me this time. READ ALL!!!!!!!!The previous day I had went to another hospital and sat in the lobby for 7 hrs with only one pain med dosage, labs and CAT. After all that they say me back in the lobby and I cried for 7 hrs. I though I was having a heart attack. Pain level, 10++.... Suddenly , after my husband asked multiple times if I would be seen, my name was called. The RN said they were ready to discharge. I hadn't even been seen. So we left, went home. Pain didn't let up, hubby took me to BACH and the Docs were all over it. Meds, IV, labs, MRI, then transported me to a hospital that could care for me. Thank god they did.

This review is strictly for the emergency room! Everyone has been amazing to myself, and my children anytime we seek care there! There's a PA that's taken care of me and my son numerous times named Tyler and he's a literal angel.. Something pretty traumatic happened to my 2 year old, and he treated us like family and took such good care of him! There's also another gentleman named Mr. Krebs (I hope I'm spelling that right. I think he's a PA as well)- he is an amazing doctor also! Both of these providers have taken me seriously even when other people didn't. I thank these 2 gentlemen from the bottom of my heart. You couldn't ask for better doctors for your family. I trust them 100000%!! Military hospitals get bad reputations sometimes but these men are changing that!

Clean, has the very Best ER North of Nashville(probably better than almost any ER in the Country truthfully). Better service than any civilian hospital by far. All around a damned fine place to go get fixed up. Even the Mess Hall ain't so bad👍🏻👍🏻

So as with all things Army, manage your expectations. I have had over 15 appointments here over the last year. Did I receive the services I needed and in a relatively timely manner, yes! Are there scheduling issues and military mentality not focused on pampering to people, ABOSOLUTLY! Do we get good health care, yes!

This is the worst Army community hospital I have ever seen, if you go to the ER, it takes 2-3hrs before you can be seen by the doctor. I think people go to the ER for emergency treatment? But not in the case of Blanchfield. I took my wife to the ER, we got there by 3:15pm and we got discharged by 10:30pm just for vomiting. We sat outside for almost 3hrs before we were even call to be seen by the doctor.

Doesn't sound like it ever got better. I go back to 1977. Giving birth they held me down putting a oxygen mask on me that wasn't working. I couldn't breathe. There were cockroaches running up the walls. My daughter has terrible health.

Cannot get appointments, being refused referrals, contacted patient advocates, ombudsman, Tricare, etc on and on. One year old son cannot be seen for needing referral to ENT let alone any kind of appointment, we are told to go to urgent care over and over for ear infections. I cannot be seen as a high risk pregnancy to request a referral for treatment to hospital with NICU just because... Well reasons I'm told and I should.just pay to switch my insurance because you know, we can afford that and the deductibles. Went to ER for possible concussion and was not assisted to change into gown and fell over alone and hit my head in the hospital, etc. Looking into lawsuit options at this point. Child is facing permanent hearing loss and I'm facing death or death of my unborn child because of refusal of referral. Disgusting treatment for active duty military family.
