Flight 93 national memorial is easy to get to but off the beaten path. Plenty of free parking and handicapped accessible. The tower of voices you should come to first, if you didn’t don’t worry, we missed them coming in because gps took us to another route but still got to the memorial. Plenty of space. Don’t forget to get a program which details all about the tragedy. There’s a lot to walk so wear a good pair of shoes. We did the winding trail up to the view platform and I had on flip flops. It can be done which I proved but my feet, ugh! Everything is free. You can leave a note in the shelter for the victim’s families. Very beautiful place. Very well done and looked after. There are historians there to answer questions and tell the story. There are bathrooms on the premises. Camper parking was available as well.

The Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania stands as a solemn tribute to the courage and resilience of ordinary Americans who became heroes on a fateful day in our nation's history. Visiting this hallowed ground with my family was a deeply moving experience. The museum, though photo-restricted, tells a powerful story of bravery and sacrifice. It commemorates the passengers and crew who, in the face of unspeakable terror, made an unthinkable decision: to confront the forces of darkness and prevent further devastation. Their selflessness and determination to protect others embody the spirit of our country. Walking through the memorial grounds, you can't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for these individuals who gave their lives to safeguard countless others. The serene landscape, including the Field of Honor and the Wall of Names, offers a place for reflection and remembrance. It's a reminder that even in our darkest hours, the American spirit shines bright. The Flight 93 National Memorial isn't just a must-see for Americans; it's a testament to the indomitable human spirit and the enduring values that unite us all. It's a place that honors the past while inspiring hope for a better future. Every American should make this pilgrimage to pay tribute to the heroes of Flight 93 and to reaffirm our shared commitment to freedom and resilience.

Excellent memorial for the tragedy that occurred here. The signs are informational and really remind you what occurred on that fateful day. The place is very somber and truly makes you reflect. The design of the buildings following the flight path is brilliant and the way everything else is laid out is wonderful. I didn't realize how much land they have in the park but it is expansive.

We were driving on the interstate and saw the sign. Spontaneously we exited. Not sure what to expect. The memorial was amazingly well done. While we expected a quick detour we spent a few hours. Flight over path/overlook, Tower of voices, Memorial plaza & wall of names. The visitor center does an excellent job retelling the stories of flight 93. Way more than we realized. Very quiet, tranquil and thoughtful site. The nuances of the design and intentionality of each part is amazing. Even a decent hiking path that interacts with the site. Talk to the rangers and volunteer guides who give unique insights. Highly recommended and respectfully done! 🇺🇸

A very peaceful and humbling place to visit. A quiet space to reflect on the tragedy that unfolded that fateful day. Beautiful grounds filled with trees and deer. This place needs few words, just visit and pay your respects.

Being almost 4 hours away from this location, it’s hard to visit this memorial! But let me tell you, I went on 9-11 and it’s very busy, but absolutely beautiful! I would definitely recommend going on 9-11! It’s a great day experience! There’s is a trail you can walk or bike and it’s very spacious! It’s a nice place to go and have lunch and learn about history! There are so many different things to go see and read about! If you have the chance to go, I would! It’s so beautiful and educational and you get to go out and breathe the fresh air! This memorial is one of my favorites!

Very emotional experience! Only tourist location I've ever visited that moved me to tears. I surmise someone born in the 1930's or earlier would feel similar while visiting Pearl Harbor. I found the differences in the reactions in the various visitors there very interesting. The younger visitors seemed curious but respectful. Many of the older visitors seemed saddened. Some openly wept listening to the actual recordings left by passengers on the answering machines of their loved ones when they realized they would most likely die. There is no fee to visit the Memorial park or visitor center. The exhibits are very educational, recreating the events on the morning of 9/11/01. Pets are allowed outside, but preferably not on the granite walkways. The only possible "negative" I can say is that there is a small gift shop in the visitor center. Some people might find this a bit tacky, but I thought the items sold were mainly educational or patriotic, and it's for a good cause, so I didn't mind its presence. I won't hesitate to visit here again in the future. Watching the deer feed in the same field where so much death occurred years earlier, with the beautiful backdrop of a blue sky and colorful autumn leaves, left me with a mixture of emotions: peace, sadness, admiration, despair, etc. It is an experience I will never forget. 💔❤

Beautiful memorial. I cannot describe the feeling there. I was not aware until I was on the field walk ending that the granite walkways were the route the flight came in on. When walking in you are on the granite walkway to a half wall of glass to the overlook. Then the granite walkway is at the field area along the marble name slabs to the fence to look through and see the boulder marking the site. The chimes of voices was so beautiful. Wait patiently to here them. They are like whispers in the winds. There is a clean restroom and a shop, also memorabilia and videos. Fields of wild flowers planted were gorgeous. Surreal.

Came from California to mechanicsburg to see my uncle and flight 93 was one of the things I wanted to see. We got there and it was very quiet. People speaking more quiet than usual out of the respect of the area you’re in. Steve gave a nice presentation about the different areas and details of the memorial. Very moving and a place Americans will never forget.

We spent almost 2-1/2 hours here. It was amazing. Make sure you sit on the bench at the tower of voices. Take your time going through and really take everything in. This has to be one of the most memorable memorials. The flight path can bring you to your knees. It definitely humbles you.

It’s always been hard not to get teary-eyed at visiting a memorial. Compared to others that I have visited this one is very modest. I visited a few hours before sundown in mid-June. Only a few people there. It quiet; no distractions from human noise. I found myself reflecting on the horror that these passengers felt when they came to the realization that they were going to die, by plunging thousands of feet. The decision they made to take back control of the aircraft was truly heroic.

The least accessible of the 9/11 memorials but certainly worth the time. I’m impressed by the symbolism throughout the site. The path which is laid out like the flight path, the 40 individual marbles nameplates that from a distance look as one and the nod to the local hemlock trees throughout. Well done.

Probably one of the best done/most moving/touching memorials I've been to. Every aspect is intriguing, thought provoking and an amazing oumage to the heroes of United flight 93. So glad I saw the sign on the highway and decided to deviate from my route for a visit. The highlight of my visit to Pennsylvania and I can't recommend it enough.

Heartfelt tribute to the heroes on Flight 93. The visitor station shows a timeline of events and a screen that plays a re-enactment of when and how the plane crashed. Photos of all the victims are displayed on a wall along with voice recordings of the last calls to loved ones. There is an outlook area where you can see the crash site and memorial wall. All together there are 3 areas. The tower of voices, which is a giant wind chime representing 40 individual chimes for all 40 passengers. The visiting center displays artifacts and tells about what happened on and leading up to 9/11 along with an outlook center outside of the building. The third area is the memory wall with the names of victims, which is also close up to the crash site. There is a small store located inside with clothing and memorabilia also. Also, just an FYI, there is a sign that says no cameras or picture taking is allowed in the visiting center where all the artifacts are. There is also a sign near the tribute wall that says no food, pets, or bikes. I'm not sure if it is allowed in any other places, so research before you go. We stopped here on our way to Ohio from Washington DC. Would highly recommend to stop here if traveling in the area.

A Place that leaves you speechless because of how beautiful and how special it is ....... It's a place where the passengers and crew of Flight 93 are honored and it is felt that each person who works there loves their job , they make you feel that you're part of the family. It's a place of reflection and at the same time you learn more about the events of September 11. A place that I recommend 100% , If you haven't gone , Do it ! It's a Unique experience. Definitely a place I will visit again.

This place is so beautiful, somber and emotional. The Tower of Voices is the perfect place to start the tour. The lower level crash sight is where we went next and it was inspiring and educational. The upper level museum and gift shop was out last stop. If you want the real experience of the place listen to the people’s last calls. Truly heartbreaking and informative. “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. I highly recommend visiting. The memorial to each of the victims was mindful, respectful, and clear facts were presented about what happen on September 11 for Flight 93. I also appreciate the clear trigger warning for the listening to the last phone calls and messages from that day. The grounds were beautiful and very safe.

It was a very dark day in our country's history and was made into the most beautiful memorial. Words can not be expressed for how we felt walking around and remembering 9/11. Absolutely a must to go see and walk the grounds but to also pray that it never happens again...anywhere.

This was a very nice memorial for the hero’s of flight 93. The park rangers and other staff really care about their work there. The experience is emotional and pays respect to the victims of flight 93. There was one park ranger that we watched give the presentation of the events that happened that day. He presented very well and kept all of us engaged until the very end. There was never a point a time where you didn’t feel like he cared about what happened that day and that he was helping their heroic actions alive each time he tells the story. This is a must see place if you are ever in the area.

A beautiful tribute to those that lost their lives. Well worth the drive. It was moving to walk through the visitor center with so many memories from that day put together in a succinct explanation of the course of events that changed us all forever. The NPS has very good plaques to show you where different things are when looking out over the crash site. It’s hard to tell where things haven happened now because nature has healed the land. The crash site looks like a serene field with deer grazing.

Wow what a Memorial Day this has been. We are at the Flight 93 visitor center. We walked through seeing all the photos and artifacts, listened at all the recordings passengers left to loved ones, heard the voices of investigators impact statements and was deeply moved by these people’s sacrifice that day. While my heart was heavy and trying not to cry Doug told me to come look through a window just feet away. A deer had just delivered her fawn against the wall of the center in a q mowed area. What a beautiful sight. God is so good. Jesus gave the best sacrifice for the whole word. He wants all to be saved. I’m so grateful for the sacrifice of these people but deeply moved spiritually by the sacrifice Jesus gave. Thank you Lord for your plan and salvation. Thank you for the reminder of life and beauty with the fawn. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Amazing, somber, surreal experience. They documented everything in an easy to follow timeline, just beautiful displays in the visitor center. Very good tribute to those fallen and left behind that day. I could not help but tear up and have goosebumps reliving my experience and emotions on that day. Highly recommended for education and remembering the brave 40 who lost their lives due to the 4 hijackers.

911…… The day the world will never forget. And this place is to Remind us of the heroes on that flight. With everything that was happening in America that day. These people had time to know what was going on. They knew their fate.. And they knew what they had to do to try to save their lives and others. and for that, they will never be forgotten. This day is a day you will never forget where you were and what you were doing at that exact moment that it happened. RIP my Thoughts and Prayers for all the Family and those who died that day.. Amen

What a humbling experience. I wasn't sure what to expect and was absolutely stunned at the beautifully curated space. Definitely could have spent an entire day on the grounds exploring and taking in the scenic overlooks. There is a diversity of indoor and outdoor memorials that make the commemorative space suitable for all weather conditions.

Very beautiful memorial. The visitors center relives the tragic event, step by step; very informative. Park rangers are on site during business hours to answer any questions you may have. The tower of voices is a very unique monument to sit and listen. The views are breath-taking. A must visit National Park

Very well-kept and thought-provoking visitor center. It has an excellent display of artifacts as well. You can walk or drive from there to the crash site and pay your respects. God Bless America 🇺🇸.

The memorial was unbelievable and honorably respectful. The architectural design was well planned. The visitors center has the history of the somber events along w a nice small gift shop. In the visitors center they have head phones where one can listen to phone call messages left on answering machines during the hijacking. Brought me to tears to hear them. After u leave the visitor’s center, if interested in a walk, you can walk the .7 mile trek to the wall of names. Bring walking shoes, the walkway has pea gravel; however, u can drive around the groves and park at the lower lot. So much to learn, grateful they have plenty of signage to read. Park rangers are available to answer questions.

We did not have this on our vacation itinerary but once we saw how close we were, we had to stop. We LOVED the tower of voices and the chimes, such a beautiful tribute. Everything there seemed very thought out. It was a great addition to our vacation. Thank you.

Out of the way. Like Vietnam memorial in DC. Moving last minute phone calls. No photos allowed inside. Free. A moment in time from 9/11. Hard to believe the govt spent so much on this. Yes, it was heroic, but Kent state should have been like this.

I really hate to give any memorial less than 5 stars. It is a beautifully done building and grounds. Definitely worth the stop if you are driving through. It lost a star for the no pictures inside policy. It was the first time I have been to any place operated by the national park service that denied photography.

We saw the Pentagon memorial earlier in the week on our family vacation to Washington DC. On our way home we decided to stop here as well. It was an emotional experience. Very well done memorial. Wish we weren't in a hurry and could have walked the hiking trails. It looked like a very nice walk.

I've been to the Flight 93 Memorial 11 times. My first time was with my dad, shortly after 9/11 and awhile I waited to ship to basic training. To see where the memorial started and where is today is truly amazing! It was a simple steel wire fence, maybe 40 feet long and 12 feet high. I remember so many stuffed animals, pictures, letters and other heart felt items from friends and family. Today I'm proud to be VP of Rescue 343-2 Memorial which is a tribute Memorial to 9/11 out of Ohio and all who passed on 9/11. We will NEVER FORGET!

What an incredible memorial! Made the last minute decision to visit, a little over an hour outside of Pittsburgh, I had no expectations whatsoever. I was amazed in how beautiful this park is set up with the wind chime memorial, visitors center with overlook, and a walkway closer to the crash site. Very powerful views and artifacts, well worth the time to make a visit. Though it looks simple, we spent three hours walking around the park on a beautiful sunny day.
