From the moment they were contacted to pick up my Pop after he passed to the return of his cremains and furnishing of the death certificates, they were so respectful to work with. Non-intrusive but thorough. My family could grieve without worrying about the logistics. I felt that my family - my Pop was honored throughout the process. So losing your mom is hard no matter what. But for me it was complicated by being a caregiver. I really needed a funeral home that would treat me with compassion and understanding. And they totally did that. They were never pushy or tried to add on tons of extra stuff. I was so impressed with how they were able to explain my options and they let me meals the choice. And if it sounds like I am being overly praiseworthy, know that a month after this funeral we had another for my grandfather in Nevada. That funeral home was inattentive and even rude. I have seen and experience the good and the bad, and Callaway Jones is a great choice.

My specialist, Charisse, was very informative, thorough & followed up with an email so I could have a checklist of details to complete/follow up on. I never knew the importance of having a prior relationship with a funeral home until I went through the end-of-life process with my dear father. As his death became imminent, I was able to give him my entire focus and knew that Cody and his staff at Callaway-Jones would be focusing on everything else. It was nearly as if I passed my dad off to long-time friends and they made the days that followed as easy and stress-free as possible. All of my wishes were implemented as they coordinated a beautiful graveside service in a little farming community nearly 100 miles away. People often consider the days following a death so difficult, but I can honestly say that Callaway-Jones made those days the sweetest that I have experienced in a long time. I was very happy with the ease of planning my father's funeral at Callaway Jones. They allowed me to choose the preferred dates and times, from the open days in the next week. They did not stipulate that I follow certain protocols, but were happy to offer advice and answer my questions about what is customarily done, etc.. They were very open and up front about their charges for standard and optional services, and they handled the catering arrangements of our after service meal.

We recently had to lay my father to rest. One of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do, but Cody with Callaway Jones was there for us every step. Cody Jones was a treasure. I had no experience in planning any service and his kind and thoughtful guidance was heartfelt and appreciated. I would have not made it through a number of hard decisions and days without his guidance. Everyone who was present was amazing but Cody Jones stood tall through the whole time. This was the best possible experience you can have, before my mother’s passing and after. The care of all concerned was exemplary, from picking up my mother after passing to interment, care was shown in every step.

I sent a friend a birthday gift for their birthday but it just so happens my friend was not there that day and the manager Cody decided to take it upon himself to take the gift and pass it on to his other employees rather than notify my friend or the delivery personal that this person was out for the day. If he can betray one of his own I wonder what he would do to a person/family he doesn't know personally? I would never trust my love one in this company's hands! He should be ashamed to treat anyone in such disrespect! I will never refer anyone one to this company! Shame on you Cody Jones!
