I was made aware of Forest Lawn when my mother passed away. They were remarkable, the memorial service so very memorable, tasteful and simply beautiful. The funeral director Anthony was amazing, he went above and beyond and it felt as if he were dealing with his own family. I would most definitely highly recommend their services.

It is with sincere appreciation that I am honored to acknowledge Ms. Deidra Lawrence for her level of professionalism and the impeccable services extended to my family during this extremely difficult time. Ms. Lawrence treated my mother and I as family by taking every phone call, and answering every question. Each time I contacted her, she asked how my mother was doing, who lost her husband of 60 years.  At each meeting, the patience and care that she took with my elderly mother ensuring to pay attention to details while thoroughly explaining the process, leaves me speechless.  This shows her compassion for others and the of quality care she shows her clients. I am humbly thankful for all that Ms. Lawrence has done for our family and the staff at Forest Lawn Cemetery South for the quality of service rendered to my family's needs. Ms. Lawrence and the staff truly lived up to their principle, "We strive to get every detail right the first time, every time."

Marsha Boatwright was extremely professional, respectful and most important empathetic during such a difficult time. I remember when we were trying to make decisions for my husbands viewing. I started to ask a questions if they could fulfill a request. Ms. Boatwright answered confidently and respectfully, "We can do anything". And so they did! The viewing hall reflected my husband to a tee. The room was beautiful! I was blown away. They truly honored my husband in a personalized and unique way. The entire staff including the ushers that day were wonderful. I highly recommend Forest Lawn. Thank you Forest Lawn for your amazing service and respect. I thank you and my family thanks you.

Forest Lawn South was great to deal with during this difficult time. Anthony and Mark handled all arrangements and walked my sister and I through planning of my mom's funeral and burial. The day of my mom's funeral was difficult, but everything went smoothly. They made a sad time in our lives a little less painful. I would highly recommend their services.

My family recently had my mother’s funeral at Forest Lawn. Bree (our funeral director) and the entire staff were kind and very helpful. They listened carefully to our desires and plans, and they helped coordinate all the details for us … from locating the plans that my parents made 24 years ago, to explaining all that was covered in the plan, to coordinating with a funeral home in another state where my had Mom passed away, to helping us collect the desired music for the funeral, to making arrangements with the on-site cemetery … and more. Bree and other staff members checked in with us several times to make sure that everything was ready and that all of our questions had been answered. We were very pleased and satisfied with the care and service we received.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. Every detail was explained to us. My niece and my mom are buried at Forest Lawn and we have only but good things to say and highly recommend.

At one of the saddest times in my life Reyes Cruz and Anthony Zanders from Forest Lawn were so helpful and so companionate. The process of cremating my husband and filing the necessary paperwork was made easier by them.

Everyone was kind helpful very professional and did whatever they could to make a difficult time as easy and painless as possible. I especially would like to thank Andre and Briana for all the help and support they provided during this whole process. Thanks again for all your assistance and support.

Overall we were very pleased with the funeral proceedings. The presentation of the video and side materials were excellent. We were not particularly pleased with the gravesite management. The staff that was preparing the final preparation and movement of the dirt onto the casket should have been less conspicuous. The backhoe used to prepare the final dirt, should not have been brought up to the grave site until everyone was gone. Instead, the machine was sitting obvious. Other than that, things went very well and we appreciate everything you did.

The place is very nice, my experience is so far has been pleasant . Andere was my consultant and was very nice! Burring a loved one is always difficult and preparing for it is even harder.

My husband passed away unexpectedly and at a very young age. It has been the darkest time of my life. Reyes Cruz was my coordinator throughout the process and he made the entire ordeal a little better and a little easier. He was professional, yet caring. He took the time to listen to my concerns and always put me at ease. I’m sure they have many people and families to deal with, but he never made me feel rushed and always made me feel like the only family that mattered. He always asked if I was ok. The day of the Memorial, he made sure my family was set up and taken care of. We were in excellent, caring hands and the Memorial reflected that. Reyes Cruz and the entire staff were amazing. My family and I are forever grateful to all of them for helping us honor my husband.

During one of the most difficult times of my family’s life in putting our dear mother to rest, we were blessed to have such an high level of service by the dignitary staff. Initially Anthony and Allison assisted us with ensuring there would be no delay from the service to the burial. However Arthur the funeral director was non stop in ensuring our needs were met in every conceivable way. He exceeded expectations and defines the epitome of customer service. I don't normally take the time to write reviews but this service provided here was exceptional. Rohaema was extremely helpful while we were in the worst situation any family can be in. She was compassionate and kind. The service was really nice and the priest brought us closure. Thank you.

My father recently passed away and prepaid most of his funeral cost on the west coast from Meadowlawn Funeral Home. Before he passed, we discussed having his services on the east coast where most of his family is located. He agreed and was able to transfer his funeral arrangements from North Meadowlawn Funeral Home to Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Davie Florida, another Dignity affiliation. Upon my dad’s passing I contacted Earl Mussori at Forest Lawn. He immediately went to work making sure all contracts from Meadowlawn were successfully transferred. He went through everything that was covered and we made an appointment to go over the details. Earl was absolutely a pleasure to deal with. We discussed the services that were prepaid, and he took us out to the plot that my father had selected. We discussed several options including the event room, Bar Service, and catering. We initially planned to do something at the house after the services, but the Event Room, Open Bar and Catering was an affordable option. Throughout our meeting, Earl asked about my father. Earl wanted to know what his occupation was, what did he liked to do, what foods did he liked, and what was Dad’s background. Earl was already planning on how he would honor my father. I felt so comfortable with Earl and his team, I put the entire planning into his hands. From the moment we walked into the funeral home to the time we left, our family and friends felt welcome, at ease and completely confident that everything would go seamlessly. Earl and his team had everything decorated based on our initial conversations about my father. Dad was a residential and business Painter, loved Jack Daniels and embraced his Italian heritage. The Funeral parlor, entrance, Service Room, and Event room were masterfully decorated with displays of items used in the painting trade such as Paint Cans, Paint Brushes, etc. In another corner we had displays that paid tribute to his Italian Heritage including pictures of Sinatra, Italian Colors, matching linen, etc.… The stateroom stage where Dad rested was also nicely decorated. Earl even put together a music playlist of Dads favorite Italian Songs. Dad was also a Navy Veteran and Earl contacted the VA and arranged for him to have Military Honors. Lastly, Dad loved his Jack and 7-up and Earl had a special display featuring Jack Daniels and plenty of Jack behind the bar. Earl allowed the service to go at our pace and he adjusted the timelines as needed. The entire service from the viewing, church services, committal to the event room went perfectly. The Event Room with catering and open bar was amazing. Our guest complemented us on an amazing funeral service saying this was by far, "the best funeral service they ever attended." I would like to recognize the entire team at Forrest Lawn for an amazing service for my father…. Vivia Spence, Gregory Kerrick, Rick Vanhoy, Donna Brown, Jason Gulley and Allison Gondek. Plus, our Bartender who was also magnificent. I would especially like to recognize Earl Mussori for his ability to coordinate such an effective and agile team of professionals.
