Great German food! The appetizers were especially delicious. The mussels were the best I’ve had. The schnitzel was honestly better than what I had when I went to Germany. Don’t miss out on the German custard. Soooo good. We had a big group, everyone ordered different things and everyone enjoyed it. Will definitely be back. A gem!

What a lovely hole-in-the-wall German joint. The outside does not do it justice. I was blown away with the authenticity and selection. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was fantastic. Give them a visit!

This is a small but popular place so we felt lucky to get a table on a Saturday afternoon. I had the schnitzel with red cabbage and potatoes with bacon. I loved the lemon caper sauce and it was all delicious. My wife had the German dip sandwich. It was also great, but the cold potatoes salad she ordered for her side tasted a little bit old. Overall, eating here was a nice experience. The service was also very good (friendly, attentive and helpful).

One of the best restaurants we've been to in a long time. Service was excellent, food was excellent. We love the Brie appetizer and the German Pizza. Get there right when they open because they are always busy and the place is very small.

So Amazing! Our first time coming here was just on a whim and we stopped in for lunch. No wait time, sat right down in the front little tables. Food came out fast and was super delicious! Everyone I told about this place also said they love it! I hadn't ever heard of it, but apparently it's a happening spot! I can see why because it was so good! Oktoberfest Potato stacks and bacon Deviled eggs were amazing and the German Dip pork Au Jus sandwich was also super yummy! Can't wait to come back for more 🤤😋

Went here with family from out of town and we were surprised at how good the menu looked. I was surprised to see so much German fare on it, but dived right in to a currywurst and loved it. Parking is always a challenge here, as its was previously, but Sunday afternoon was light. I will try the patio in the future and consider it a very safe option for dining in 2021. Very good prices and attentive service.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Started with whiskey lemonade and a sazerac for my wife and some deviled eggs. Drinks were made perfect and the deviled eggs were delicious. Then we ordered a German pizza and schnitzel. The schnitzel was so good. I've never had it and it lived up to the hype. The German pizza was next level. That is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The flavors are so unique and they cooked it perfectly. The over all vibe of this place is awesome too. Ontop of great food the service was spot on. We will definitely be back.

We came here on a Tuesday at 4:00 and it was pretty empty. Not long after we had been seated though, it started to pick up. If we come back, we’ll make sure to be here by 4:00 to avoid the crowd. We were greeted with smiles when we first walked in and we’re seated almost immediately. Our waitress was Anika and she was really sweet and patient while we navigated the menu. We were having a hard time deciding what we wanted, but then finally made our choice. We shared the lunch special (mahi mahi fish tacos) and some brussels sprouts as an appetizer. We also ordered drinks (he got a köstritzer schwarzbier and I got a Love Potion #9). If you like Guinness on tap, you’ll love a köstritzer schwarzbier. I absolutely loved the Love Potion #9. I could taste every ingredient in the drink and they went together so well. He ordered the mahi mahi entree and his tastebuds were absolutely blown away! I’M ordering that the next time we go! It was heavenly! I ordered the frikadellen and it was good. I just wish it had some sort of a sauce to go over the meatballs. It just would have taken it up a notch. We had an “appetizer”, two drinks, two entrees, and our bill (before tip) was around $79. I want to come back for more drinks, mahi mahi, and maybe some dessert!

Great restaurant with fresh food. Better for small groups. There is usually a wait and it is a pretty small restaurant. It is definitely a top pick for brunch!

We miss our pizza place! But now after we have eaten here I'll say it's one of the best places in Layton to eat! The Jager schnitzel was great with the original brown gravy my wife ordered the lemon gravy that was just as good service was great

Went with my wife for my birthday. I was not disappointed. Best pastrami I ever tasted on my wife's Reuben. While I didn't care for the buerre Blanc (first time trying it) the pork schnitzel was great. The spatzle, roasted Brussels sprouts, fried potatoes, and french fries were all incredible. For dessert I would suggest the apple strudel IF the bee sting cake hadn't been one of the best desserts I have ever had at a restaurant. Service was wonderful. Cannot recommend enough.

Quite possibly the best Ruben I have ever had. The food was great, the atmosphere was comfortable and I am sure I will be back to try the other things on the menu. I was impressed with the quality of food and how fast they were able to bring it out to be.

Stopped in for a late lunch and was really impressed by the food. We had the pretzel with beer cheese and mustard for starters. It came with homemade sweet pickles on the side as well which added a good contrasting flavor. We tried the German dip, the burger, and the bratwurst plate. The burger came with beer battered fries and a special fry sauce. Both the fries and the sauce were excellent. The sauce was savory but had a slight hint of sweetness. The German dip was good and came with some delicious Brussels Sprouts. The bratwurst plate was excellent with good sausages. The sauer kraut was made with thinly shaven cabbage and had excellent flavor. The plate also came with bratkartoffleln which is roasted small golden potatoes cooked with some spices. It was very tasty and I enjoyed every bite. Staff was friendly and service was good so I would definitely come back without hesitation.

#WellersBistro an excellent place for German Food. Here’s an experience I had on my first visit. Saw an article on a German place in Layton so had to go with my friend who lived in Germany for a couple years. I enjoy German food and I’m down to eat food that is part of my ancestry memory. Weller’s Bistro definitely filled the desire. We didn’t want to wait for a table so sat at the bar, which had many advantages. We were able to chat with the bar tender and ask questions about the food, also, it gave us a direct look into the kitchen and the service window, we saw many things come out that interested us that we tried including the house made #Pretzel served with #beerCheese sauce, #wholeGrainMustard and house made #pickles Mmmm. For my Entree I of course had to have my #Rotkohl (purple cabbage and apple) sauté and braised to yummy goodness. Sauté cabbage is a staple in my family but we usually do green and don’t use the patience needed for yummy Rotkohl, so I take advantage when I see it on the menu. This was excellent Rotkohl. My Entree also came with #DasSchnitzel Parmesan Crusted Pork Loin pounded flat, with Lemon Caper Beurre Blanc (sauce) that was lovely. I tried the more traditional #Jägersoße mushroom sauce from my friends Schnitzel and was glad I went with the Butter Lemon Caper sauce as it had a wonderful bright flavor and butter! My dish also came with #Bratkartoffeln roasted potatoes, onion, and Speck (Bacon) which was fine but was lost when placed next to the other yumminess found on my plate. We decided to end the meal with #Bienenstich (Bee Sting Cake) a double layer yeast cake with cream filling and a honey almond top crust. The trick to enjoying the dessert is to flip it over so the crust is on the bottom, so when your utensil goes into it your cream layer doesn’t squirt out and you get a bit of the crusty gooey honey almond topping with each bite. All the food was excellent but I’d go there just for the Bee Sting.

4.9 Stars, Excellent tasting and delicious food. I know why 4.9 and not 5, well to me the dishes varied slightly from what is the original style. This is not bad, I just expected OG recipes, these were slightly different and were great. Pretzel was so fresh and was fabulous with those dips and pickles...Schnitzel and Goulash were fantastic as well. The desserts stole my heart, the apple strudel with cream was mouth watering fantastic. Instagram @foodie.adventures.usa

Weller's is the bomb! I got the Rueben and my friend got the Schnitzel. We each tried some of the other, and all the food was so yummy! I will definitely come back and wait in line again for this food/atmosphere/experience 🙌

Weller's has been recommended to us before but every time we've tried to go in they have a long line. And now that we've had a chance to eat there we can see why! Service was good, even though it was busy. Our server made some good recommendations and was able to answer all of our questions. In the end my husband chose the lunch special schnitzel sandwich and I got goulash. He loved his sandwich, and I loved my meal as well! Both very delicious!

Fantastic find!! Food was fabulous, service was superb. German menu with flair. Small restaurant and not a flashy front but quaint and comfortable. Worth a drive or a wait.

Loved the appetizer deviled eggs with bacon garnish. The sausage was delicious, but the favorite was the Beef rolls. Call ahead 40 minutes before you show up because there is always a wait, but it was good German food.

The environment was friendly and cozy. Our waiter was the funniest staff I’ve ever met! I got the veggie pizza for $15 and is definitely large enough to share! Will come back in the future to try the other food! Also, the pretzels and artichoke dip are definitely worth a try!!

The portions were hearty, the German mule was pretty good and their “bee sting?” cake good as well. The Brie appetizer was underwhelming and maybe lacked an herb or a really good bread or something. We ordered the schnitzel and the pasta, and again, it was good but nothing that changed our lives.

I visited Weller’s Bistro on the recommendation of colleagues, and I had the Frikadellon. The meal was delicious, incorporating contrasting yet greatly complimenting flavors which dazzled the palate! The service was exceptional in all aspects! Carol was kind, welcoming, and expertly guided me through the menu, as I was unfamiliar with some of the dishes. She was attentive, friendly, and demonstrated a high attention to detail, with drink refreshment, billing, and cash out. The only drawback to the establishment is accessibility. Surrounding traffic is heavy, parking is very limited, and the waiting area may be too small to accommodate crowds during busy hours. All in all, 5 of 5 stars!!!
