We’ve recently discovered this hidden gem when stopped there for dinner on the weekend. Now we do takeout from this place almost every week. Their sushi are always fresh and delicious, and the prices for regular rolls are ok, the special rolls are a little expensive. The service is very friendly and fast.

Ordered assortment of rolls and shrimp tempura. Best tempura I've ever tasted. The veggies were different than usual. Very delicious! Eggplant, pepper, kabocha squash and lotus root were tempura battered. Yummy! Favorite roll is cha-cha roll.

This is my new favorite sushi restaurant in Michigan. Incredibly fresh ingredients, the rolls were perfectly balanced, the staff was great and the food came out fast. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We ordered the Chef Special, Las Vegas, S & T, and the Square Lake roll.

Really great sushi!! First time here and everything was amazing. Quick and polite service. We got tempura udon, the “sushi regular” sushi entree and a few different kinds of rolls (not pictured). I honestly can’t choose a favorite thing because everything was super yummy and high quality. The nigiri is so fresh and melts in your mouth. Prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommend if you’re craving some tasty sushi! We will definitely be coming back :)

kazoku sushi is seriously the best sushi I’ve ever had. Everything is SO FRESH and delicious. Also it’s super affordable, yet the quality of the sushi is beyond phenomenal. I wish I could give this place over 5 stars because it’s that amazing. It is a 40 minute drive from my house, but it is worth the drive. I will come here forever! Their shrimp tempura and American dream roll are my favorite rolls that I get everytime.

This family restaurant's respect for sushi is apparent in the sushi rice alone. It's complex and tangy, concentrated and delicious, the perfect base for fresh flavors. The fish is so fresh it literally melts in your mouth. Beyond Bliss- I closed my eyes. The sizes of roll ingredients produce a smart bite and give unique character to each of their rolls. Service was friendly and fast. The solemn sushi Godfather and his joking apprentice, waitstaff seem young and professional. The Interior is very clean. Will be back!!

Excellent mom and pop! Extensive menu with many options. Big portions, fresh products with quick precise service and priced right. This place have only one thing missing some alcohol, hopefully business is good and that will be available soon. Definitely will be coming back and recommending to all my friends. 🤤😋

Stopping at Kazoku Sushi was worth it. I hadn't been to this place since ownership had changed, but I can certainly say the owners made me feel welcome and did a great job with the combo I got. The rice had the right texture and strength to hold each piece of sushi together. The fish tasted fresh, and the sauce was spicy - which was good as I did order a spicy set of rolls!

My wife invited me here with my son and his fiancée. Didn't want to make the drive. But I'm glad I did. Every single meal was delicious, fresh, and satisfying. Takoyaki, and gayoza appetizers were outstanding. Chicken katsu was excellent. Had four different rolls. Usually take leftovers home,,,there was none.

I checked out this restaurant for the opportunity to try omurice for the first time; it was beautifully presented and delicious! The shumai and takoyaki were also excellent. The inside has a great, mellow vibe with K-drama on one TV and American television on the other. I'll definitely be coming back!

It was our first time trying this spot and we were really impressed! The sushi is beautifully made and VERY fresh. Also, the employees are fast, friendly and polite. We will definitely be back!

I'm very impressed with this place. Although noble fish is my favorite, they do a very good job here on the sushi flavor, presentation, and balance in ingredients. Wish them continued success, and I'll definitely be back when I'm out this way.

Best freaking sushi in all of Michigan (and I’ve tried a lot of sushi). This is a family-based restaurant based in Troy that serves authentic Japanese and Korean dishes. The owner is very friendly! I have never once felt dissatisfied getting Kazoku for a nice delicious dinner. I recommend the shrimp tempura roll, the shrimp tastes so fresh! I have attached a picture of their S&T roll which is also so good.

Best place around. I'll drive an hr to visit when not at work. Nice cozy atmosphere, with superb quality. Menu's crafted by extremely talented Itamae "sushi chef". Have enjoyed every visit for the past 3 years. Quality is still the same, if not better! Pictured is the sushi deluxe 4/8/23

So good I forgot to take a "before" picture! This is our new favorite sushi place. The miso is delicious and piping hot every time. The American Dream Roll is my favorite sushi roll I've ever had!

I have eaten at Kazoku at least 75 times since moving to Michigan in 2019. It was the first restaurant I ever dined at when I moved here and it was so good I couldn’t believe it. No way a little sushi spot nestled in a shopping center could be so good. But IT TRULY IS. I went on a hunt to find “the best sushi” thinking if my first stop was that good there had to be better. I tried over 15 different sushi spots in the area (including some of the top ranked sushi spots in metro detroit) and not one spot even comes close to Kazoku. The freshness, the quality, the price— all absolutely amazing. The specialty rolls are so well thought out and all of the flavors work together. This is the best sushi I’ve ever had not only in Michigan but the US (and we’ve eaten a LOT of sushi lol). You won’t regret coming here, either dining in or taking out!!

My wife and I learned about Kazoku after COVID started, and it's by far the best sushi around. It's not the closest sushi place to us, but it's the only one we frequent. Up until recently, they've been takeout only. We finally went into Kazoku to sit down 2.5 years later, and it's, of course, even better! Their sushi is fresh, consistent, and a perfect balance of rice to filler. They have quite a few rolls you can't find at other places. It also has a great family feel. Their non-sushi dishes are also excellent. We favor the bibimbap and udon noodles when not in a sushi mood.

I recently had an outstanding experience at this sushi restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our numerous food allergies. The head chef, in particular, was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to guide us through the menu, ensuring we made choices that aligned with our dietary restrictions. Not only was the sushi delicious, but the attentive service made our dining experience enjoyable and worry-free. We appreciate the staff's dedication to customer satisfaction and their skill in creating a safe and delightful culinary experience. Five stars well-deserved!

Cozy spot for some weekday sushi! The owners are fantastic and quite attentive to not only regulars, but everyone. I've been coming here for years and tried just about everything on the menu and not a bad choice to be had. I highly recommend Kazoku to anyone in the Troy area looking to support a small business!
